- RansomHoldiay, on 01/30/2008, -18/+401Obama. They have a lot more in common then he and Clinton.
- notque, on 01/30/2008, -20/+295"If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal" - Emma Goldman
- RikkiTikki, on 01/30/2008, -20/+219Now we have to wonder who the Edward's voters will now vote for. Probably Obama because they both fight for the working man.
Oh, and Hilary has no soul. - Jebral, on 01/30/2008, -13/+165Who do you think he'll endorse?
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -9/+159My scenario:
Edwards drops out and endorses Obama. Not only does he endorse him, he campaigns on his behalf with Obama's money. This does two things. It draws Edwards supporters to Obama, and it keeps Edwards in the spotlight. So, if people vote for him even after he drops out, they can be "moved" to Obama at the convention. - bbtweb, on 01/30/2008, -27/+158An Obama / Edwards ticket would be a great package.
- Sinaca, on 01/30/2008, -3/+115First Caroline. Then Teddy. Soon to come: Richardson. Next Edwards. Finishing up with Al in the final days leading up to Super Tuesday.
The Democratic party is fed up with the Clintons. - saraht578, on 01/30/2008, -24/+105Bring on Obama/Edwards
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -95/+176I cannot WAIT for the day where we have a story titled "Ron Paul Quits Presidential Race". I will laugh out loud so hard when that day finally comes. Probably next Wednesday! :D
- terracottapai, on 01/30/2008, -8/+85PLEASE God, let it happen!
- Dylson, on 01/30/2008, -12/+80Lets hope it's Obama.
- RansomHoldiay, on 01/30/2008, -9/+76this makes everything a lot more interesting. i think obamas support will grow and it will truly become a dead heat. but i don't think this is good news for hillary.
- dailyshowboy23, on 01/30/2008, -10/+64obama/edwards 08? being VP wouldn't be a consolation prize
- RansomHoldiay, on 01/30/2008, -1/+53but the higher ups in the democratic party are thinking about november, and they know obama has the best chance. i would put my money on edwards endorsing obama, thinking VP or attorney genral.
- MindTrigger, on 01/30/2008, -13/+64You should embrace anytime there is a candidate that stirs up emotion, and gets people excited about the political system in this country. This means people are thinking about the direction the country is going in, and that's a good thing. These childish posts making fun of Ron Paul supporters may be fun and self-gratifying, but all they serve to do is sour people to the whole process. Oh, and don't forget that Paul supporters are still making a small but noticeable dent at the primaries. If you would like some of them to vote for your candidate after Paul is a non-issue, I suggest keeping your arrogant comments to yourselves.
Whether or not you like Ron Paul, he knows more about economics, the subject most Americans claim is most important to them right now, then all of the other candidates combined. He has also help push issues in front of the "front runners" that might not have been brought up without Ron Paul's ideas. - cyberdork, on 01/30/2008, -1/+47cnn.com:
"An Edwards aide said that he does not plan to endorse either Clinton or Obama, at this time, but he may do so in the future." - Sinaca, on 01/30/2008, -2/+4610 - 15% of the Democrats support potentially. More than enough to be king-maker if the race between Obama and Clinton stays as tight as it is today.
- theuniversal, on 01/30/2008, -1/+42Him attacking Obama in the last debate was just a what fit the situation in South Carolina. Edwards isn't stupid and he took the opportunity to play on Clinton and Obama attacking each other. Ideologically, Edwards is much closer to Obama. If he decides to go with Clinton, you can bet that there was some really dirty dealing behind the scenes. And the big question is, no matter who he endorses, where will his supporters go? They may not follow him.
- tabularassa, on 01/30/2008, -5/+44This man's endorsement can decide who the next president will be
- ichoudhury, on 01/30/2008, -4/+42Hey may not endorse Obama because of his former running mate (John Kerry) endorsed Obama (which was a blow on the face). But then again, I don't understand politics. I just wont be surprised if he end up endorsing Mrs. Clinton.
- JSVH, on 01/30/2008, -1/+37Any one know the rules around what will happen to the 26 delegates and 36 super-delegates that he already has?
- RuffRidr, on 01/30/2008, -6/+38Prell.
- ZenFountain, on 01/30/2008, -15/+44A diary on DailyKos is claiming some kind of deal between Obama and Edwards. Edwards had some nice rhetoric on fighting special interest and being the representative of the working man, unfortunately that's all he really seemed to be, a paper tiger.
- terracottapai, on 01/30/2008, -2/+31If he endorses Obama, then he'll be the frontrunner.
- AutomaticTLC, on 01/30/2008, -6/+34I like it when I press the thumbs down button and it goes from -2 to -94958498 within the last second. :-)
- TheKarmaPolice, on 01/30/2008, -5/+32obama vs. hillary
here we go! - Boeing777, on 01/30/2008, -11/+38too bad, i kinda like the guy. he seem like a good man. I hope he won't endorse the "biatch".
- ponyfreak, on 01/30/2008, -2/+29would some one mind telling all the middle age white women that... they seem to be slow to get the message
- raffyoh, on 01/30/2008, -24/+51there goes the best candidate imo
- bcclist, on 06/11/2008, -3/+29Are you serious? In every date he points at Obama and says, "there's a difference between us" and then points at clinton and says, "and the status quo." If not Obama, then he won't endorse anyone. I assume the endorsement will come pretty close to Feb 5th - Obama already has enough momentum right now and Edwards' endorsement wouldn't have as much impact.
- ghandi69, on 01/30/2008, -4/+29Yes, everyone knows his middle name is Hussein.
And no, no one cares. - thefandango, on 01/30/2008, -2/+27and yet, you tried to pass it off as a correlation to a horrid dictator.
Any more propaganda you'd like to spout off?
Edwards might have a lot of class, but you, meteors, do not. - merper, on 01/30/2008, -0/+24The VP wasn't what lost 2004...
- terracottapai, on 01/30/2008, -0/+23He also said he was in this race 'for the long haul' as recently as a few days ago, so take that for what it's worth.'
- tuntcickle, on 01/30/2008, -2/+25that quote is terribly ironic, as at least 179 people have 'dugg' it (which is synonymous to 'voting')
- dksupremacy, on 01/30/2008, -11/+34so let me get this straight, your going to be happy because you just lost one of the few honest politicians in the race who can change the path this country is heading towards and you won't have to deal with the RP spam? Hmm so your annoyance with RP on digg is greater than the ENTIRE state of the country? wow, *clap........clap........clap*
- GoneGreen, on 01/30/2008, -12/+34Hope to see you as the Attorney General! All the best Mr. Edwards
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -2/+23they are free to suppport who they want. They were never "bound" to Edwards. If he Endorses a candidate, then most would logically switch there.
- MonsterChaOS, on 01/30/2008, -4/+25You think that up all by yourself?
- Jektal, on 01/30/2008, -1/+22Don't forget Gravel!
Ah, who am I kidding... - JigoroKano, on 01/30/2008, -10/+30Obama/Richardson IMO
- SheilaNoya, on 01/30/2008, -17/+37I would love to see him endorse Obama, but he was sucking up to Hillary in the last debate. Since it currently looks like Hillary is ahead in the national polls, he'll probably endorse her so he can have a stab at getting picked for Vice President or maybe Attorney General. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
- jopjop, on 01/30/2008, -4/+24I think all three of them have that ;)
- psyber, on 01/30/2008, -3/+22He has already said he would not run as an independent.
- culliganman, on 01/30/2008, -10/+28hopefully he does take up obama on the VP, he'd be a nice counterpart to barack.
- More4, on 01/30/2008, -20/+38where's the story on Ron "3%" Paul?
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -3/+21It's been floating around for a few days now that Obama has offered him Attorney General.
- GoneGreen, on 01/30/2008, -3/+20Please learn english...
- chocolatetacos, on 01/30/2008, -4/+21A swing and a miss...
- ochito, on 01/30/2008, -2/+19Obama/Richardson works well, it's a good balanced mix. Plus, Edwards as Attorney General can keep bolstering his image for an eventual 2016 run.
