politicususa.com — In a statement from his office today, Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) announced that he has notified the Barack Obama campaign that he intends to remain in the Senate, and he does not want to be considered as a running mate for Obama.

Great presidential candidate, made a courageous stand for Obama when it counted, solid foreign policy and gubernatorial administrative credentials and a presidential campaign very close to Sen. Obama's on all policy matters. Good for winning the west and the Hispanic vote, and a VP able to meet the test of commander in chief if need be.
