- mcchilimeat, on 07/31/2008, -22/+148Digg for liberty! Down with the globalist neoconservative fascists who are running our country into the ground! Go Ron Paul!
- GlobalistShill, on 07/31/2008, -15/+91Jesse Ventura is a total hero. Paul/Ventura would be the ultimate presidential ticket. I just got done listening to Jesse's latest (2nd) interview on the Howard Stern show from this week. It's excellent and I recommend it if interested in his latest views on politics, Iraq, 9/11, etc.:

It looks like they spent all of 2 minutes writing that article. No, I take that back... 1 minute.
- Parisjune, on 07/31/2008, -22/+73PAUL/VENTURA 2008!
Please Flying Spaghetti Monster (Praise Be His Name), protect us from the neo-con known as McLame and the socialist known as Change. Hear our plea, oh noodley one, save our Constitution and I promise to increase the carbohydrate intake of my diet. Ramen. - Arcueid01, on 07/31/2008, -11/+54This is great! I really hope that people jump on this boat because this ***** is very important!
- Definition, on 08/01/2008, -10/+51Two of the most honest people in politics, Jesse and Ron.
Long live the truth. - JKap, on 07/31/2008, -8/+44The Mind meets Dr. No!
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ - Catspaw, on 07/31/2008, -12/+48This is great. Ventura's a draw card with the X-factor. People like listening to him when he speaks.
- nodnod, on 08/01/2008, -4/+39Dugg for not being Obama, McCain, nor Huffingtonpost.
- kekemortson, on 08/01/2008, -15/+41I'm not a Paul supporter, but man-o-man, you gotta love his supporters! I like Ventura and he should bring some bang to the party! I'm still throwing my support behind Bob Barr, but I love the third party candidates and having an alternative choice. The current two-party system is NOT working.....
- 1elbuggo, on 08/01/2008, -2/+23Ventura: Who said this?
"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - jlhoben, on 08/01/2008, -2/+22Grassroots at its finest!!!! Screw you Pelosi, Bush.
- spyd3rweb, on 08/01/2008, -5/+24Down with government loving socialist liberals too. Government is forced coercion, not your friend.
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -3/+22Ron Paul rules.
- Trustar247, on 08/01/2008, -7/+25Great news, this will be a big one. Now get your tickets! Let's fill up the Target Center!
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ - inactive, on 08/01/2008, -17/+35RON PAUL 08!
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -3/+21Paul/Ventura/Kucinich/Gravel. All of them straight shooters.
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -6/+23Don't start the revolution without me.
- pdubya, on 07/31/2008, -12/+28...man, if dr. paul were to announce jesse as his vp....wow.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -1/+15The only reason he might have been ineffective is because everyone else in the state spent all their time fighting him. When there are more people who believe in the rule of law, these kinds of leaders will be effective.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -11/+24The world needs more uncompromising idealists like these two.
- BurningSand, on 07/31/2008, -2/+15Yeah, one minute to write it and zilch proofreading it!
- inactive, on 07/31/2008, -6/+19I hope that Ron either announces that he is running as an independent or he endorses Bob Barr.
This is bigger than one person - saeedc, on 08/01/2008, -4/+16This is supurb news! Hopefully this will be the start of a long wonderful relationship between the two as they venture on to fight our careless hell-bound government and wake up the American public. This is definitely premature, but I see the possibility of a Paul/Ventura ticket in 2012 if all works out well.
Perhaps the Constitution can still be saved... Paul and Ventura will be no easy match for the Republicans and Democrats.
Please, sign up for campaignforliberty.com if you haven't done so yet. It's time to make history and save the Republic! - SouthsideIrish, on 08/01/2008, -4/+16I disagree with Truthers, but if they are Pro-Liberty than who are they hurting? I would rather align with one those people, than a so-called former Neo-Con.
- stealthc, on 08/01/2008, -8/+20You know what's even cuter? Those useful idiots who think Barack Obama is going to save them.
No, I take that back. It's actually very, very sad. - saeedc, on 08/01/2008, -2/+14You neglected to mention the fact that he was a Navy SEAL, a Governor, and has served this country in war. I think he has the right to say whatever he so chooses. It's ok if you disagree with him on 9/11 as I do, but don't come out attacking and name calling. Thats just shallow and childish.
So tell us kind sir, what makes your opinion more qualified and better than his? What have you done for this country lately? - inactive, on 08/01/2008, -1/+12Well, it's true.
Bush did it and it worked. - mport1, on 08/01/2008, -1/+11Wow, this is going to be amazing!
- kemp34, on 08/01/2008, -0/+10Gloablization = global trade = good
Globalism = global one-world government = bad
Get it? - tajitj, on 08/01/2008, -1/+10Sign Petition of the House of Representatives: Stop the Bill of Rights Blackout!
http://www.bobbarr2008.com/rights - Chimone, on 08/01/2008, -1/+10when is Ventura starting the revolution?
- mudgod, on 08/01/2008, -2/+11Mind backing that up? From what little I've heard he seems far more sane then most everyone in the Congress and Senate
- Draxius, on 08/01/2008, -1/+9You maybe right, but his voting record shows that he gives a ***** about you. Can't really argue with that.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -2/+10And yet they persist.
- gcsmit6, on 08/01/2008, -0/+8Seriously by who? The media and current government have too much money and corruption at stake to take him seriously. The amount of effort it takes to ignore what Ron Paul has done is pretty serious. If they weren't scared about being revealed as the corrupt scumbags they would just let him talk, let him debate, and report what he had to say as a candidate. Instead they do everything in their power to paint him as a radical and crazy. All he has ever done is vote with the constitution and tried to give the American people their country back. Its funny that these are the the things that make him crazy to people that probably haven't even read about him and what he is done. You're comments sound like you're friend started a fight and you showed up a couple minutes later and decided to chime in or throw a punch without knowing whats going on. Read a book and grow up a little. Its not gonna kill you to have a thought that your friends might not agree with.
- kekemortson, on 08/01/2008, -7/+15So, who is your candidate? And why?
- presidentender, on 08/01/2008, -1/+9Goering, in seiner Gerichtsverhandlung. Auf Nueremburg. Und er hat rechts gehabt.

You got time to duck?? - shig, on 08/01/2008, -3/+10Give what up? His campaign to make people socially and politically aware? I thought you liked that!?
- jpbreeder, on 08/01/2008, -6/+13This event will be filled with people from all over the country, the media cannot ignore this!
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -1/+8
I get emails all the time from people warning about the dangers lurking in toys, foods, plastics, etc…… This time I have to say something, and please don’t get offended, anyone. Our nation is in crisis. We are headed for a potential depression. Fuel and food costs are skyrocketing. Do you have any idea of the time and money the government wastes on useless bills like one to force manufacturers to change manufacturing processes? Let alone the cost to the manufacturers. And that cost is passed to us. If we as parents are afraid of what’s in the bottles, don’t use them. Buy glass. The government wastes enough money as it is. Over-regulation is quickly eroding our civil liberties one by one as we sit back and watch, thinking it’s a good thing. It’s not the government’s job to make our choices for us. It is their job to uphold the constitution, and there has been very little of that going on in Washington for quite some time. - Boooohjoke, on 08/01/2008, -1/+8I liked some of his policies...
- krAzykrAkr01, on 08/01/2008, -6/+13Opie and Anthony? You mean the two biggest MORONS on the planet?
- nkleffman, on 08/01/2008, -4/+10yeah, what does he know? He was only a navy seal trained as a demolition expert.
- stealthc, on 08/01/2008, -3/+9@sugarazor, re: 3 reasons Paul shouldn't be taken seriously
1. His relative lack of political success is unfortunate, but it only reinforces the evidence of his authenticity. Our political system is heavily biased in favor of the ambitious, the greedy, and the egomaniacs.
2. You present a caricature of his platform, and then beat up on that. Either you're deliberately using the straw man fallacy, or in all this time you never bothered to actually listen to the man.
3. When I chose my philosophy, my worldview, and my vision of how the world ought to be, I did so based on the merits of the ideas, not my impressions of a few loonies on the Internet.
I take Ron Paul seriously because he's *right.* - Notasheeple, on 08/01/2008, -0/+6Hey jstancom, maybe this will help you understand. This is all from the CFR itself buddy. Not me, them.
"The main purpose of the Council on Foreign Relations is promoting the disarmament of U.S. sovereignty and national independence and submergence into an all powerful, one world government."
- Admiral Chester Ward, former CFR member and Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy
CFR Book 2007:
Title: Regional Monetary Integration
Overview (in their words)
"This book surveys the prospects for regional monetary integration in various parts of the world. Beginning with a brief review of the theory of optimal currency areas, it goes on to examine the structure and functioning of the European Monetary Union, then turns to the prospects for monetary integration elsewhere in the world—North America, South America, and East Asia. Such cooperation may take the form of full-fledged monetary unions or looser forms of monetary cooperation. Regional Monetary Integration emphasizes the economic and institutional requirements for successful monetary integration, including the need for a single central bank in the case of a full-fledged monetary union and the corresponding need for multinational institutions to safeguard the bank’s independence and assure its accountability. The book concludes with a chapter on the implications of monetary integration for the United States and the U.S. dollar."

"Some governments are prepared to give up elements of sovereignty to address the threat of global climate change. Under one such arrangement, the Kyoto Protocol, which runs through 2012, signatories agree to cap specific emissions. What is needed now is a successor arrangement in which a larger number of governments, including the United States, China and India, accept emission limits or adopt common standards because they recognise that they would be worse off if no country did.
All of this suggests that sovereignty must be redefined if states are to cope with globalisation.
At its core, globalisation entails the increasing volume, velocity and importance of flows within and across borders of people, ideas, greenhouse gases, goods, dollars, drugs, viruses, emails, weapons, and a good deal else, challenging one of sovereignty’s fundamental principles: the ability to control what crosses borders in either direction. Sovereign states increasingly measure their vulnerability not to one another, but to forces beyond their control.
Globalisation thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker. States would be wise to weaken sovereignty in order to protect themselves, because they cannot insulate themselves from what goes on elsewhere. Sovereignty is no longer a sanctuary."
-Richard N. Haass, president of the CFR.
