- sb66, on 07/08/2009, -8/+156Jeb Bush is a total ***** who supports incarcerating pot smokers; but when his own daughter got busted for drugs, he had her sent to a private clinic, and said her drug problems were a "private family matter".
In other words, a typical hypocrite republican. - inactive, on 07/08/2009, -9/+153I CAN SEE CUBA FROM MY HOUSE!!
- CB810, on 07/08/2009, -10/+88Seems like a scene from Dumb & Dumber 3.
- steelersfan7roe, on 07/08/2009, -5/+73Democrats for Bush/Palin 2012 Ensure an obama second term.
- mxxz, on 07/08/2009, -4/+67Ya his brother is more popular than Obama... among white supremest, pro-life, evangelical Christians. Too bad the country has more than one type of people
- richmomz, on 07/08/2009, -5/+60Jeb Bush + Tucker Carlson = Guaranteed Insanity!
I just can't take Tucker seriously anymore after the massive spanking he received from Jon Stewart while he was still hosting Crossfire. - steelersfan7roe, on 07/08/2009, -6/+57Global warming is politicized... in AMERICA.
The rest of the world is convinced. We're the only one looking like fools here squabbling over what the world already knew 10 years ago. - pnunn, on 07/08/2009, -8/+55LOL- more dispatches from crazy town.
- viol999, on 07/08/2009, -9/+55Yeah Baby! Jeb Bush in 2012!!!!! Not
- Hetman, on 07/08/2009, -7/+52I do not believe the country is center right. Conservatives can keep telling themselfs this. That does not make it true though.
- emanggid, on 07/08/2009, -5/+42When asked on why Obama is so popular now: "[A flash of agitation.] First of all, who cares?"
I think that statement shows how right wing folks are so one-sided. Barack Obama is Jeb Bush's elected president, and he gets agitated at the thought of him doing well and getting high popularity polls. That's messed up. - pintomp3, on 07/08/2009, -7/+42ZOMG!! NOT SOCIALISM!! I would much rather be like Somalia than Norway!
- RobertWright, on 08/13/2009, -11/+41No more Bush Theory
- pintomp3, on 07/08/2009, -5/+35It's like an all-star line-up of religious fundamentalists. Every single one of them a creationist.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -6/+35Yeah but he's a Bush. He may get lucky in a run for Senate, but he'll never be able to win a national election, no matter how different he is from his brother, father and grandfather, the entire Bush family is ethically bankrupt.
- BossKey, on 07/08/2009, -2/+30People of America, remember one basic rule: Do not vote for anyone else from the Bush family. Not Jeb, not Jenna, not any of them. The last two times you did that, we got a war and a recession. Don't think that's going to be any different if you vote for a Bush again.
- V0lk, on 07/08/2009, -10/+37HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......
- rocknog, on 07/08/2009, -1/+28Are conservatives that ***** stupid that they can't get the joke? Yes, Sarah Palin did not use those exact words. That's not the ***** point. The point is that Sarah Palin claimed being near to Russia gave her foreign policy experience. What Tina Fey was funny because she was mocking what Palin had said, pointing out the absurdity of her position.
- parabola9, on 07/08/2009, -7/+34At least he's not Palin.
- enantiodromia, on 07/08/2009, -4/+31yeah, things were just peachy when Bush II left.
- rgersmrk, on 07/08/2009, -3/+29And you are very much an idiot.
- steelersfan7roe, on 07/08/2009, -5/+31PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... Republicans. Please take this article to heart. Please keep pushing against illegal immigration and gay marriage.
Please do it so that the next election is a blowout. You can lose more seats in the senate if you're lucky. - TheNik, on 07/08/2009, -4/+30Who is Obama Destroy? Sounds like a wrestler.
- Nunchuckattack, on 07/08/2009, -5/+30I feel bad for any country that has a two party system...
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -10/+32I hate to defend Jeb Bush, but come on people. Here's what he ACTUALLY said regarding "socialism" in the interview:
"People are tired of it. That word won't stick. It's a turnoff. It doesn't help."
So far from calling Obama a "socialist", he basically said exactly the opposite: that calling someone a 'socialist' is pointless and silly. If you want to bash the guy, feel free, but geeze, at least do it on the stupid things he actually says, and not on completely imaginary stupid things that he DIDN'T say. - kmiller7, on 07/08/2009, -1/+23Seriously, unless Obama gets a blowjob from an intern, nothing will stop his second term. His opponent will probably get blown out Mondale-style.
- mtjohnson, on 07/08/2009, -7/+28I'm glad you pointed that out, Sarah Palin would never say anything that stupid.
- rabidjester, on 07/08/2009, -5/+25Seriously, how awesomely entertaining are these guys going to be in another year or two. Hell, it's only been a few months and the crazy is already about to go plaid.
- Stormwern, on 07/08/2009, -4/+23He'll never win the dumb-off (primary) against Palin.
- zip000, on 07/08/2009, -3/+20I would agree if the person doing the questioning wasn't Tucker ***** Carlson. The biggest douchbag that ever wore a bow tie.
- enantiodromia, on 07/08/2009, -5/+22to be fair, in the minds of these people, their country ends at the Mason-Dixon line.
- erkokite, on 07/08/2009, -3/+19America is center-right compared to most western nations. Republicans are far-right though.
- kingmanic, on 07/08/2009, -1/+17From Canada's Perspective America is far right under republicans and right under democrats.
- TheNik, on 07/08/2009, -3/+18Not really...
- jayjayjoni, on 07/08/2009, -10/+25Jeb Bush, Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul 2012.
Our great one and his Democrats could not have it any better. - inactive, on 07/08/2009, -5/+20Sorry, but you're wrong. The country most assuredly IS "center-right", which is why the Democratic party is currently in charge. If you think the Democrats are "leftists", you're insane, and don't have any idea at ALL what the word actually means. In America, we only have three Political positions: Centrist, as represented by Nader and Ron Paul, Center-Right, as represented by the Democrats, and Bat-*****-Crazy-Right, as represented by the Republicans.
Go to ANY other country in the world and look at what their idea of "Liberal" means. Then compare it with ours. Our "Liberals" would be considered "Conservatives" just about ANYWHERE else on the planet. - digitul, on 07/08/2009, -1/+16i always wonder how many people that throw that word around actually know the definition of it...
- WasabiBomb, on 07/08/2009, -2/+16My parents- indeed, most of my family in that generation- voted (R) for all of their lives... until this last election, that is.
I think you know what you can do with your /s. - SSPink, on 07/08/2009, -3/+17@abw1987
Using buzz words doesn't make you any less laughably wrong. - jmhyer51, on 07/08/2009, -2/+16YES! WE KNOW Tina Fey said it. Get over it already.
- surfergirlsc, on 07/08/2009, -3/+17I read that with the George "W" voice in my head... you know, the retarded slurry voice.
- frygar, on 07/08/2009, -6/+19Unfortunately for you and the other republicans, he's actually improving the situation your party caused over the past eight years. Undoing almost a decade's worth of damage isn't going to come overnight, and it sure as hell isn't going to come from whiny GOP'ers like Jeb and yourself.
The republican party had its chance. They blew it, and have continued to master the art of shooting themselves in the foot. How very disappointing - expected, but disappointing nevertheless. - WasabiBomb, on 07/08/2009, -3/+16No, Bush won because there are many voters, particularly the older voters who are historically more likely to vote (although that may have been reversed in the last election), all voted for whomever had an "(R)" next to their name. They didn't vote for Republicans, they voted against Democrats- and they didn't vote against individual Democrats, they voted against the Dem party as a whole... because that's what they've always done, and that's what their parents always did.
- pintomp3, on 07/08/2009, -2/+14I hope you don't drive on pubic roads with the rest of us socialists. That would be highly hypocritical.
- mlrigsby, on 07/08/2009, -3/+15Why can't Republican's denounce Rush Limbaugh? Why are they constantly required to praise his role in the conservative movement, while simultaneously distancing themselves from him?
Intelligent conservatives should call a spade a spade. Rush Limbaugh is an intellectual lightweight who caters to the worst in his audience. He is a net negative to the conservative movement, and the sooner conservative statesmen recognize and acknowledge it, the better. - bluesman3535, on 07/08/2009, -2/+14Sshhh.... you're ruining the Bush family fantasies about W being a cross between Teddy Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. You're being unpatriotic, Un-American, and a good target for Bush fans in ***** Lando security.
- dynamojoe, on 07/08/2009, -3/+15"Jeb, only fifty-six, the smarter Bush boy, a good governor,"
Horse *****. He was a biased, reactionary governor who opposed the will of the people on things like the class size amendment and slot machines. He demonstrated his utter contempt for the judicial system in contempt by forcing through a law on the Schiavo affair that contradicted over twenty separate judgments. He wasnt a ***** or anything. He actively worked against the majority if they didn't jibe with his GOP marching orders. - bluesman3535, on 07/08/2009, -5/+16Let me sum this up; Jeb Bush appears to have no solid opinion on most of what is discussed or in the case of global warming, no scientific data to form any opinions. No wonder he's flattered people keep interviewing him, he's a class A dope.
- floridiot2, on 07/08/2009, -3/+14There has been literally hundreds of years of government-run programs for everyone. We've always had social programs in the US, nothing is new here.
- dagnabbit, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12This type of hyperbole is going to make his reelection so easy when in 4 years this country is humming along just fine.
Not that it's going to be difficult. The person who led the GOP polls for party leader just quit before her first term, and her popularity numbers among rank-and-file Republicans actually went UP! -
