- eschristian, on 01/03/2008, -4/+19Mr Huckabee you just hit the ball out of the park. That was outstanding. You deserve the gold medal and I do believe you will get your 1st one in Iowa in less than 24 hours. Keep up the awesome work and stay you - don't let Romney get to you - I am so proud you pulled that ad. I watched a preacher on tv this weekend (Joel Osteen) and I immediately thought of you and your campaign. Mr Osteen spoke of how crows can try and attack the eagle - but the eagle pays no attention to the crows - the eagle just soars higher and higher (vertical : )) until the eagle reaches a height that the crows can't survive and can no longer even fly with the eagle much less try and attack the eagle - the eagle rises above the attacks and Mr Huckabee I believe you do to and you will be rewarded. As I heard you say on ABC news your favorite bible verse is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" that was very special to me because when I was in nursing school a group of students and myself in my senior year prayed together and we would actually write that verse on our tests as well as they will soar on wings like eagles and guess what I am a RN now - Mr Huckabee you soar on wings like eagles and continue to climb higher and higher. I'm here in Georgia and your momentum just keeps growing here and everywhere - I can't wait until 2/5/08 - God bless you and I will keep you, your family, and all of the campaign in my prayers. You can check out more about Mike Huckabee at my blog: http://mikehuckabee-has-my-vote.blogspot.com/ or at www.MikeHuckabee.com for the truth about Mr Huckabee and his ideas and vision for this country for ALL AMERICANS.
- RykaRunner, on 01/03/2008, -1/+12Loved this statement on Leno last night, "It became evident to me that there were a lot of folks (politicians) making decisions that didn't understand poverty, hunger, or disease. They didn't understand the challenges that people had in their families." In my opinion, being a pastor, you do see real people with real problems. You become very aware of what it is like to deal with these issues. So many politicians are so far removed from "real" life, they cannot understand these concepts. It was clear last night, that Mike is the kind of guy who understands the real problems of the people. Go Mike! You have my vote!
- carrie69, on 01/03/2008, -4/+15I thought this was fantastic. Mike was funny and easygoing, as well as sharp and endearing. He was REAL, something the average person can relate to, and someone who would serve us well as president. Check out why I like Mike at my blog: http://carriewigal.com/huckabee/8/why-i-like-mike/ or read more about him and what he stands for at www.mikehuckabee.com.
- 28kfps, on 01/03/2008, -3/+14First time I really heard Mike. Liked what I heard on the Tonight Show. I thought a job well done. Checked out his web page looking at his stance on issues and like what I saw.
- Room007, on 01/03/2008, -1/+11Wow Mike was awesome on Leno. This exposure can only help his candidacy and it was all free! He doesn't need to spend tons like Romney, Giuliani and Ron Paul. He can get his name and message out frugally. Since he can do this he can surely keep better track of the nations budget than others have done in the past. How refreshing it is!
- leesarah, on 01/03/2008, -1/+8Very entertaining. Checkout the guitar playing in part two.
- scroogereport, on 01/03/2008, -1/+6I like Mike!
- meandmine, on 01/03/2008, -1/+5You must not have children. One day you will do your very best to raise up a law abiding, wonderful child...he/she will become a teen and still do stupid things.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -0/+3i agree with one point, except the death of a dog is never just a "stupid thing." and animal cruelty comes from a dark heart at any age. still, i've heard different stories of the incident so not all the facts are known. i know the child was huckabee's adopted son and may have picked up those demons from his past. but no matter how much i love mike huckabee i will never discount the act against the dog. but it was not mike huckabee's fault.
and i am sure huckabee was horrified, as he is such a dog lover and even takes his dogs with him on the campaign trail. i've seen them and they are very happy and healthy dogs.
but let us never discount the life of a dog, man's best friend, in our arguments and in huckabee's responses when this comes up in interviews. to just discount it as an act of a teenager is not cutting it.
i was a teenager and i didn't nor do it now, have that sort of thing in me. - txchica, on 01/03/2008, -4/+7I have an idea, how about you tell us why we should vote for your guy and we'll tell you why we like ours.
I don't understand why you feel the need to bash Huckabee, but do you realize you are alienating people who may (but most likely wouldn't) support your guy in the future?
Instead you come here with suppositions and heresy from someone that had been appointed by Huckabees democratic predecessor, and you want us to believe that his talking has nothing to do with politics?....Please....... - clewless337, on 01/04/2008, -1/+2I have to say that I always enjoy hearing Mike Huckabee speak. He has the personality and look of a United States President.
I will say that this interview (along with a few others where simlar things have happened) Mr. Huckabee totally wasted an opportunity to share the Gospel. He was asked as to why he became a Pastor. His answer was very disappointing. He didnt say the reasons that ANY Pastor would give if asked the same question. I do realize that he is trying to keep the support of the people of Faith as well as get the vote of those whom would maybe not vote for him DUE to his faith but, its sort of a sell out in my opinion.
I do realize however, that he is not running for the Pastor of my Church but the President of the United States... It still seems that he is able to ignore his faith or the way that he believes when asked to stay on the good side of all involved...
I still like Mr. Huckabee and as of yet he still has my support over the other canidates... only now, my support isnt based soley on our "like" faith as it once was ... - inactive, on 01/05/2008, -1/+2Huckabee is better on bass than Clinton is on sax for sure!
He was just fantastic on Leno and he's really a funny guy too. What a guy!
Huck's definately got my vote! - brandir257, on 01/05/2008, -1/+2I feel like Mike Huckabee is my next door neighboor, an ordinary guy, not a politician, someone I can relate to. That's what this country needs in office. Someone like you and me. Someone who knows people and knows what we need. I laughed my head off watching the Jay Leno show!!! He's natural around people, down to earth and genuine. I feel like I know the guy! You go, Mike!!!! You got my vote!
- growdog, on 01/06/2008, -0/+0BRAVO!! Very well said, and I agree completely!!
- clown2008, on 01/05/2008, -1/+1What a great interview. Leno knows what the political writers do not, that Mike has national appeal. And appeal to the next generation.
- cschande, on 01/05/2008, -1/+1By the way, Mike could never afford to pay us to digg for him. It's called "INSPIRATION." Oops, looks like I let the cat out of the bag. Now maybe the MSM and the other guys in the race will get a clue. Haha.
www.hucksarmy.com - virek, on 01/03/2008, -9/+1Oh wow, paid huckabee bloggers. Your statements are so cliche it's rediculous. It's obvious there are about 10 of you here promoting crap like this. Huckabee is the worst candidate to date and listed as one of the most corrupt politicians by judicial watch. Get your head out of the sand and realize it doesn't matter what he says because they are empty lies.
- Protonz, on 01/03/2008, -16/+5Huck reminds me of the politician from Sin City, the one with the messed up serial killer son (who is also a hobbit).
"So David Huckabee killed a stray dog and Mike Huckabee pressured law enforcement not to investigate a very suspicious case of animal cruelty which happened to involve his son. This is known as “abuse of power” or “obstructing justice.”"

Seriously, are you people being paid to digg this guy?
