Even more so, if you are accused of being terrorist, now if the law gets passed will be much easier, you have no right to due process.

They wanted people to be able to question the government and hold it accountable, not cower in fear if they dared to speak out against it. Now speaking out against government lies and propaganda is a "National Security" threat?
