- macwisdom, on 02/20/2008, -13/+118Another waste of our tax dollars that are worth less today, thanks to a bigger government an irresponsible president and a congress & senate that refuse to do the right thing - They pay for a illegitimate war, support corrupt corporate influence , disregards and circumvent our civil liberties , privacy and Constitutional rights! In the 80's it was the Saving and Loan scandal and bail out, Iran Contra ( did you forget coke for weapons to Iran to fight Iraq ?) in the 90's it was Eron and PG&E charging hugh rates for Electricity, Now in the first decade of the 21st century it's, Election fraud -Disasters allows to happen or ignored take your pick the list is too long ,$3 + for gas and $100 a barrel for oil, 20 billion $ a month for an illegal war based on lies, what amounts to banking fraud on a massive scale. We just keep getting fed lies and ***** for a corporate propaganda machine. The people in charge don't care, the masses want cheap ***** at WalMart, and are more concerned with who won what sporting event, what celebrity is in trouble for what, and who is disrespecting who faith... Meanwhile the wealthy and powerful get more wealthy and powerful ,and the people have no voice in their furture...
- Grova, on 02/20/2008, -3/+53While the border wall will go through her backyard and effectively destroy her home, it will stop at the edge of the River Bend Resort and golf course, a popular Winter Texan retreat two miles down the road. The wall starts up again on the other side of the resort ***** *****!
- umstbkddng, on 02/20/2008, -5/+46Bush's latest approval rating is 19%.
Who woulda guessed that 19% of Americans are billionaires? - jlungu, on 02/20/2008, -5/+46Who'd have thought our President would kiss a Dallas billionaire's ass?
- iheartboobs, on 02/20/2008, -5/+38What's this fence supposed to be stopping?
- theNazz, on 02/20/2008, -3/+32It's ALL about the money and who has it.
- sk11, on 02/20/2008, -2/+31People who can't get hold of wire-cutters?
- lnxfi, on 02/20/2008, -5/+33I'm completely amazed that bush has not been assassinated yet.
- satanswetnipple, on 02/20/2008, -3/+28The escape route from America when they declare martial law, and start arresting every person who insulted any neocon online.
- BranniganZapp, on 02/20/2008, -2/+25The sad part is the wealthy and powerful along with big buisness have their hooks so far into our Government and culture we are screwed no matter who we vote for or what we do.
- randomerratum, on 06/10/2008, -4/+27The interesting thing is that this is such a small scale example how the Bush regime bends to certain interests. If Bush truly believed he was acting in the interests of the american people's safety, he would apologize and build the wall through that land, but alas, even on this micro-cosmic and public scale he continues to slap American tax-payers in the face....... This is the "most powerful man in the world", what other disloyalties could he be up to?
- SauceSpot, on 02/20/2008, -0/+19its so the illegals can cross the border at the resort and start working there. theyre helping with their commute is all.
- DisposableRob, on 02/20/2008, -0/+16Yeah, you need a ladder for it, not wire cutters.
- inactive, on 02/20/2008, -1/+15The library is full of copies of "My Pet Goat"
- RonObvious, on 02/20/2008, -2/+16He's a billionaire, he probably already has his own fence.
- wipis, on 02/20/2008, -0/+14Why can't they push the fence back to the edge of their property along the boarder? Do people own property in Texas that spans the boarder into Mexico? And if so, why can't we just patrol these populated areas? I was under the assumption that the problem with the boarder was that it spans thousands of miles of open desert that you can just walk across (if you know how to survive a desert). To me this sounds more like pork spending rather then seeking a solution. But that is besides the point. It's just more proof Billionaires get whatever they want.
- Lyk4n, on 02/20/2008, -8/+22Or mullet-wearing incest-loving rednecks..
- dondara, on 02/20/2008, -1/+15Welcome to the United States. All the justice money can buy.
- ironhide, on 02/20/2008, -1/+14you=imbicile Or did you miss the the front page story where Deval Patrick stated that he gave Obama permission to use his speech.
- jer2eydevil88, on 02/20/2008, -1/+13Lets see his approval rating is at 32%
1% - Rich People
25% - Morons (i.e. Southpark)
6% - People who care more about Conservative Social policy than Fiscal or International Relations policy.
Add's up to me... Try talking to a Fundie and you might find your brain in a world of pain. - 10001110101, on 02/20/2008, -1/+13Just you wait.. I heard they're going to fence off the dwarven district in Stormwind.. Goddamn dwarves are stealing all the baking jobs.
- tpawloski, on 02/20/2008, -3/+13Bush has a Presidential Library. Wow Bush can read. Will there be any documents to put in the library after his administration shreds everything.
- coyoteblue, on 02/20/2008, -5/+15***** shameful
- Innisskillin, on 02/20/2008, -5/+15The world needs to hit the reset button. Fences? This isn't ancient China. WTF? Makes me want to vomit.
- mortinmaxwell, on 02/20/2008, -1/+11That would leave Cheney in charge.
- kaelyiesta, on 02/20/2008, -3/+12The bible thumping fundies are all that he has left. Bush should just wear a halo during speeches to play to these people.
- jer2eydevil88, on 02/20/2008, -1/+10It's supposed to be stopping people from complaining that the country isn't doing anything about illegal immigration. Although with the money they will spend on it I wonder if we couldn't send everyone in the country to college for a couple years totally free... What would be a better way to spend the money??? Oh yeah.. the wall to nowhere.
- thcobbs, on 02/20/2008, -1/+10apparently, you haven't seen the fence they are building....
- Duncster, on 02/20/2008, -3/+12I can't wait till the next president gets elected and all these same stupid articles start hitting the front page of Digg. "Obama allows Mexicans into the United States!"
- inactive, on 02/20/2008, -1/+10Well this fence will never stop my tunnel to mexico!
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+8America's freedom from leaking out.
- Dylson, on 02/20/2008, -4/+12Mexicans.
- payrow, on 02/20/2008, -3/+11A fence is NOT the answer. People come here for the JOBS. The jobs that business owners and others know they can get done for pennies on the dollar compared to legally documented - tax paying workers. These business owners and others make a KILLING by paying the small hourly wages AND they DON'T have to pay ANY of the other moneys associated with legal employment - Workers Comp, State and Fedral Taxes, Benifits, Etc. Efforts should be directed at FINES and even JAIL for those who hire illegal workers. I bet that would help curb if not alleviate the problem of illegal immigrants crossing over to work here. There are other problems with the border but I think that is the major one everyone gets bent over.
- howitzeral, on 02/20/2008, -0/+8A fact which I and many other Methodists tried hard to stop. To no avail. There was a massive petition against having the library at SMU (signed by SMU alumni and professors, Methodist church members, clergy, and all other sorts). Alas, it did no good.
- spyd3rweb, on 02/20/2008, -2/+10The average person doesn't assassinate presidents, thats the CIA's job.
- inactive, on 02/20/2008, -8/+16Why is it whenever I click on any of you tin foil nutters profiles, I always see that you still support Ron Paul?
- UglieJosh, on 02/20/2008, -0/+7When I was in jail (can't speak for prison but it was close) it wasn't the arbitrary fence that kept us in. Any of us could have hopped that in a second. Build it of cement and steel? Prisoner's intuition would have taken over and we would have found a way over anyhow.
It was the guys with guns watching that fence that kept us in. - jkoski, on 02/20/2008, -0/+7Oh. My. God. Wouldn't that be great if tons of people snuck in copies of My Pet Goat and left them everywhere in the library for years to come?!!!
- ZephyrNinety, on 02/20/2008, -2/+9How long will it take the Bush administration to figure out you can DIG under the fence?
- jer2eydevil88, on 02/20/2008, -1/+8Its the people that support this kind of lunacy that are the ones who try and kill leaders.
- bbqsalad, on 02/20/2008, -3/+10wahhhh wahhhh bush is this bush is that.. YOU VOTED FOR HIM ***** IDIOTS. TWICE!
- Langford, on 02/20/2008, -4/+11I'm not. Good people don't assassinate to solve problems. Bush is evil, and therefor safe.
- Timmmm, on 02/20/2008, -0/+6They're just jealous of Israel's wall!
- Jlaugh, on 02/20/2008, -0/+6He left the 9/11 commission because the angry wives and mothers of the 9/11 victims asked him about his business relationship to the Ben Laden Group.
- Chaoticfist, on 02/20/2008, -0/+6It will be the world first picture book Library.
- sinisterouge, on 02/20/2008, -1/+7This fence is gonna be 18 feet tall and built of cement and steel. Its not your average chain link fence. Its more like the Berlin Wall. Plus there's gonna be huge gaps in it for golf courses and resorts and rich people. But elsewhere its running right through poorer peoples homes and land. shenanigans on the bush administration. there always so full of *****!!!
- SeriousMite, on 02/20/2008, -1/+7Inmates don't have access to things like bolt cutters and ladders.
- slickriven, on 02/20/2008, -4/+10Saddest part is the public has (had?) an opportunity to make a real change and vote someone truly unique into office... a vote for McCain or Hillary is a vote for more of the same *****... Obama may preach about change but don't expect a wholly renewed govt if he wins... I'd like to promote Ron Paul here, but I think even if he were to win (unfortunately, basically no longer possible) he would have little success in office as well. The problem isn't just with the Pres, it's with senior senators and congressmen who are almost all completely corrupt.
- Langford, on 02/20/2008, -1/+7Mr. Bush, tear down that wall!
/Reagan voice. - inactive, on 02/20/2008, -0/+6The real sad part is the erosion of the middle class.
We, the middle class give our money to the upper class where it perpetuates the upper class. -
