Is Reverend Wright Right? Words Stir Debate on His Creed
washingtonpost.com — Bobby Henry was angry when he first saw the now-famous snippets of sermons by the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. playing over and over on television. He considered the uproar over Sen. Barack Obama's former pastor an attack on a man of faith and the black church.

- debunkthelies, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6This is a very good article it helps one to understand more than black people, but all races that are oppressed.
- stormkrow, on 04/28/2008, -0/+7At least someone actually puts the Good Rev. Wright into "context" instead of looping 8 second sound bytes.
I only wish that someone would bring Rev. Hagee hate filled diatribes to the attention of the MSM and see how well McSame handles it. After all McShame begged and pleaded for Hagee's nod knowing full well what a freak he is. (By the way Hagee is Bush's "spiritual" adviser) - jenniferstruth, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2Just about everything the Rev. says I have completely agreed with. He is right. America's chickens are coming home to roost. Our foreign policy is why we are not well-liked around the globe. As stormkrow above pointed out, Hagee is a vile creature spewing hatred to the masses, but none of them have to renounce their association. To be honest I hate Obama, he represents the Council on Foreign Relations, therefore he is tainted. I like his pastor much better.
Peace, Love and Respect,
Jen - TrevaLVF, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2Rev. Wright is certainly growing on me.
I don't hate Obama, but his connection to CFR and a number of choices he's made as a politician and a US Senator cause me to distrust him as I distrust the Clintons, Al Gore, John McCain and all the other political operatives with questionable ties, official background records, and agendas.
I do, however, believe that race-baiting political motives were behind some person's, or group's efforts to use Rev. Wright's words to capitalize on the shallow attempts to depict Obama as an unpatriotic racist.
It is not that I don't question Obama's understanding of patriotism. In fact, I question the patriotism of all the candidates that have enjoyed generous attention by the corporate media, which excluded the only candidates that seemed truly patriotic and sincere (Gravel, Kucinich, McKinney, Paul, Barr.)
