Not that it has any real relevance but does anyone know what information is out there concerning the circumstances under which he was shot down? I haven't done any searching yet and I wouldn't belittle a pilot for being shot down but the fact of the matter is that *some* pilots get shot down because they are stupid. If the circumstances described in the article under which he came to be a naval aviator are true, it might suggest that ol' Songbird McCain was an inept pilot. A pilot's job is to manage his aircraft. I don't want another inept pilot at the controls of my government. Especially not one who has already gotten himself shot down once. - billyjack1958, on 03/10/2008, -0/+3The fact that McCain, Hilary and Obama all voted to give Social Security to illegal immigrants last Friday (the legislation passed btw), is yet another turd to add to this big pile of crap. I am so sick of the status quo and refuse to cast a vote for it.
