- marabout40, on 05/27/2008, -41/+231Yes, really good video that helps debunk some of those myths our just plain malicious rumors circulating out there about Senator Obama.
- dinot, on 05/27/2008, -21/+149"The last time we heard about a new kind of politician we got Bill Clinton."
Yeah, I sure as hell wouldn't want to go back to those Clinton days, what with those illigitimate wars, recession, unemployment sky high, record gas prices, government sanctioned torture.
.... oh wait. - ligyron, on 05/27/2008, -11/+132If you call a man like Barack Obama inept, I have to wonder what you'd call George Bush
You give new meaning to the phrase, "and I use that term loosely" - alapoet, on 05/27/2008, -39/+150Love the video! It's about time someone set the record straight on these ignorant rumors.
Unfortunately, there will always be those who START from the premise of hating Obama, and go from there to find supposed "justifications" for that outlook. And these folks seem not to really care whether their "reasons" are real or not!
Screw 'em. We're electing Obama in November! - anstice85, on 05/27/2008, -21/+123Just this morning I got a chain email with the subject "THE DARK SIDE OF HUSSEIN OSAMA OBAMA" from my coworker. Half the office believed the lies in it (he was sworn in on the Koran, etc).
Do people not fact-check anymore? Do they believe whatever ***** lands in their inbox? In that case, Bill Gates was supposed to pay me $5 in like 1998 for every email I forwarded "from Microsoft".. - tomlasusa, on 05/27/2008, -12/+108I continue to be amazed at how many people have convinced themselves that seconds after being sworn in to office, Obama will reveal to the world that he's secretly Cobra Commander and this has all been some diabolical plot to take over the country.
Honestly, half this country should not be allowed to vote on the grounds of stupidity and failure to use common sense. - thal3s, on 05/27/2008, -15/+98I don't suppose you could provide some examples of his "ineptness" for us to review?
* Having an opinion is good.
* Having an opinion based in fact is much better.
Stop repeating Faux News talking points. Either prove what you think/believe or SHUT THE ***** UP and dont vote. - atomicrobot, on 05/27/2008, -7/+79Anti-American -- He's running for President and have been in Congress for years now. That's about as American as you get.
Muslim -- He's a christian, check your facts.
Decorated War-Veteran (McCain) -- This is true. Still, I don't see how shooting people in the jungle automatically makes you a good leader. - redcolumbine, on 05/27/2008, -54/+124Ha! Great video. Well done.
- SharonAustinTX, on 05/27/2008, -26/+95How much would it cost to put this out as an ad on the internet or TV? Worth considering or something like it.
- trunkster, on 05/27/2008, -2/+66Youtube is part of the internet tubes.
- obliviousfool, on 05/27/2008, -36/+96I would like the video better if there weren't attacks against Clinton in it. I don't like Hillary at all, but I think this aspect detracts from an otherwise brilliant video.
- tolgafiratoglu, on 05/27/2008, -55/+115Hi there, I'm from Turkey, so I'm not politically in side of none of these candidates.
I want to tell you how it's seen from here:
Obama is your last subway before the cliff. Elect him or see the decline of American dream.
Economic growth is not directly related to petrol, as Republicians always think. EU doesn't have a serious petrol resource and developing somehow. It's a natural trend that Euro will fall and over-valued $ will fall. Accept this and start creating new IR models, like working with other countries.
EU works with all neighbor countries in every problem. They are working with Turkey, Russia, even Iran, with no border.
EU is about to create solar panel system in Africa for future energy problem and there's a huge wind turbine research going on.
You need a leader who can understand all this scene.
Just a friendly suggestion. - dperren, on 05/27/2008, -12/+69Oh dear God, he doesn't wear a lapel pin? Whatever will we do? Clearly pinning something to your suit jacket makes you a much better leader!
Even if any of the issues raised in this *were* true, they are utterly insignificant. I'm rather glad I don't live in a country where people decide to vote on the basis of lapel pins and people putting their hands on their hearts. - drlha, on 05/27/2008, -10/+63I hope you punched the co-worker who sent that to you in the throat.
- s14sh3r, on 05/27/2008, -7/+58As much as I dislike Bill Clinton, I would vastly prefer him over what we've had for the last 8 years. All he got was a lousy blowjob, Bush and Co. have cost over 4000 men and women their lives over a lie.

- scuba7183, on 05/27/2008, -7/+48neato!!
- darkfate, on 05/27/2008, -19/+58I think the biggest problem is that the people who believe these rumors aren't going to be watching videos like these. So those rumors stay with them. While the Daily Show is funny, I was amazed to see some of the reasons why people didn't vote him. (He's black, he's muslim, his middle name is hussain). None of which should have an impact on whether or not to vote for him anyways.
- LoveYouSomeEric, on 05/27/2008, -11/+48I'm not sure that pointing out facts is an "attack".
- tyler9090, on 05/27/2008, -20/+57Wait, are you talking about the Carter that was one of 3 presidents in our history to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? Oh no!!! We wouldn't want peace! That's for commies, terrorists and illegal immigrants!
- danielsan1701, on 05/27/2008, -8/+44And, to be fair, Obama only bowled 5 or 6 frames in that famous "37" (in a row?) game. He shared his game with some kids.
- Jsmuli2, on 05/27/2008, -4/+35super cool link!
- wacomwacoff, on 05/27/2008, -4/+35Since you just post the same comment on every Obama story and never actually explain yourself, I have to assume you're just a troll.
- malex, on 05/27/2008, -6/+36Better 8 more years of Carter than another month of Dubya.
- Wormfather, on 05/27/2008, -8/+37What kills me about this Koran stuff is...WHY THE HELL DOES IT MATTER?
Stupid people is stupid. - thehawk23, on 05/27/2008, -3/+31/sarcasm
Added it for you. - jackmon, on 05/27/2008, -18/+46I heard John McCain disavowed religion in the prison camp in Vietnam and has been a closet atheist for decades. Pass it on.
- dagnabbit, on 05/27/2008, -2/+28NO GET BACK TO WORK!
- AmaDaden, on 05/27/2008, -3/+28This sounds cheesy but as I see it we need an attitude change. Obama makes people think they matter again. And they DO matter, THEY ALWAYS MATTERED. Our govt was designed around the people, but we forgot that somehow. People feel like they are no longer in control of there own life. "Protest? Ha! It's not gonna do anything. The people in power are all the same." It's not him changing things, it's him reminding us it can be changed at all. WE elect people to office, when they do things we don't like WE need to remember to kick them out. Just my 2 cents...
- IpecacNeat, on 05/27/2008, -7/+32Have you heart the rumors that McCain has actually been brainwashed by the Vietnamese when he was captured? McCain is actually a brainwashed assassin looking to bring out government down from the inside! I will never vote McCain, that brainwashed Commie bastard!
- feebie, on 05/27/2008, -3/+28EDIT: everyone who believes Faux News propaganda knows it......
There, fixed it for you. - thehawk23, on 05/27/2008, -1/+25I feel like this would be a perfect thing for a PAC committee to do instead for running attack ads against McCain. I think PACs can have their place in elections for bring issues to light and defending their canidate, but neither side (or their supporters) should take to "Swift-boating" each other.
- phuzed, on 05/27/2008, -7/+31Cry for me... let's hear it, baby, cry.... Waaaaaaaa!
- jebudas, on 05/27/2008, -3/+26Dont forget the estimated 500,000+ Iraqi civilians that have died in this war.
Five Hundred Thousand is more than the entire population of Atlanta, GA. - tyler9090, on 05/27/2008, -14/+36...and the last time I heard about a republican in office we got George W. Bush! Don't be an idiot and try to lump politicians together because McCain is accociated with much worse people than Obama is!!
- IHaveIssues, on 05/27/2008, -2/+22Quit spamming, *****:
http://digg.com/users/HoraceQS - codshash, on 05/27/2008, -4/+24WOW you know his middle name. Congratulations.
- Fozefy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+19I love how he's a "Muslim" and also attends the church of a controversial Reverend. lol
- Acewrap, on 05/27/2008, -2/+21He was a pilot in the Navy who crashed five planes, and got taken prisoner because of his own incompetence. Stop lying.
- LoveYouSomeEric, on 05/27/2008, -0/+19Amazingly prescient. The date on that is January 17, 2001. It was probably a LOT funner before most of it came true.
- greenroom628, on 05/27/2008, -0/+19dude...that's unreal how accurate that is...
i wonder if they have nostradamus working in the onion's bullpen. - enki25, on 05/27/2008, -5/+24Ugh, another "Ugh, another "FAUX NEWS" parrot" parrot.
Here's an original thought: criticizing a comment for not having original thought, with no original thoughts of your own makes you look like a retarded douche.
Oh btw, "ugh" is not technically a word. It shows that you probably need to "stfu". - nblsavage, on 05/27/2008, -5/+24Oh noes! Not dem ferringers!
- Freedom4Tibet, on 05/27/2008, -1/+19Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
-Buddha - thelastcivilian, on 05/27/2008, -1/+19"Do people really need to have it spelled out like that?"
Read the comment below yours. Some people think that Obama is working for Al Qaeda, and is only pretending to be Christian because that's how he stays undercover. As soon as he becomes President he will implement Sharia law and sell all of the Middle East's oil to homosexuals in Cuba.
So do they need it spelled out? Yes. - inactive, on 05/27/2008, -4/+21He deployed troops more than anyone but not for war. Mostly peacekeeping.
- funkyloki, on 05/27/2008, -5/+22Considering she helped propagate some of the rumors, I think it is wholly appropriate.
- mochaman, on 05/27/2008, -1/+18The video is pretty straight forward and it does a good job, but the problem with these rumors, is that people who have chose to believe in them will NOT STOP no matter what. Even if you hit them with the truth right in their face, they have committed to these falsehoods. All of the Rush Limbaough's and the Fox news listeners already suspended reality and live in a different alternative reality.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 05/27/2008, -9/+24Because America is a judgemental, overwhelming Christian society with a fair share of latently if not outright bigoted individuals?
