- JDenigma, on 02/12/2008, -6/+19It just makes me sick when I see human beings act like such sheep when they go ga ga over a politician like they're a celebrity. It's a tribalistic mentality where they feel they need to have some great potentate to be their der Fuhrer and grand central planner to save them from everything in the world. Stupid sheep byproducts of their education system that has instilled in them the mentality to be bent over the knee of their authority.
Oh master, you great orator! You're so hip and hot! You're going to lead and save us! Oh, whip me now you hunk of a politician! I'm going to make a video with ditzy girls worshiping you! :-p - gyrfalcon, on 02/10/2008, -2/+14No... but Obama is the wet dream of some socialist digg spammers.
- inactive, on 02/10/2008, -2/+12Big surprise to see this up and coming on digg
- avengingturnip, on 02/12/2008, -2/+11"He inspires me. I can't even say. … He gives me so much hope," Malabuyo said. "It makes me feel like something will actually change. So I'm speechless. I love him. I love everything he stands for. I love everything that he can bring to this country. And we just need to get him there."
"I’ve been following politics since I was about 5,” said Mr. Matthews. “I’ve never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament. This is surprising." - Christopher Matthews (As quoted in Primary Scream New York Observer February 5, 2008)
"My job is to be so persuasive that if there's anybody left out there who is still not sure whether they will vote, or is still not clear who they will vote for, that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany ... and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama" - Obama, Lebanon Opera House, New Hampshire. January 7, 2008. - jimbabb, on 02/12/2008, -5/+11The deification of politicians exposes the hypocrisy and irrationality of both politics and religion.
- rukkyg, on 02/14/2008, -0/+6This blog is hilarious. Well, I look at it as a satire, don't you?
- medalian1, on 02/12/2008, -2/+6Wow, that's pretty sick.
- inactive, on 02/12/2008, -6/+9I think that the majority of the skeptical diggers are deeply offended by the idea that Obama is something bigger than a mere politician. I doubt it as well, but I know that Hillary is as cynical and conniving as a person can possibly be. I know that McCain is thoroughly infected with Potomac fever, it will be business as usual and perpetual war. Huckabee won't win and wouldn't know what to do if he did win. Ron Paul is running to start a movement (which I believe in), so I want to believe that Obama is different, I want to believe that HE will believe that he is different and therefore will be motivated to try great things and start changing direction.
- JDenigma, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3Sorry that at least I think unlike you ruled by your emotions.
- iamthejoker, on 02/13/2008, -3/+6He seems like a nice enough guy though.
- w3bsag3, on 02/18/2008, -0/+2In the words of another leftist leader, that would make Obama "opium for the people".
Makes sense on more than one level! - avengingturnip, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2Actually what this shows is how easily those who have a God-sized hole in their hearts are led astray.
- Bengoshi, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1This is what happens when American-Idol-warped-minds pick a president. But its not just the "unwashed masses" rushing to him like lemmings over a cliff. What's even scarier is how the "intellectual leaders" and "media elite" are genuflecting before him as if blessed....
Michael Crichton was right when he noted: "Today it is said we live in a secular society in which many people---the best people, the most enlightened people---do not believe in any religion. But I think that you cannot eliminate religion from the psyche of mankind. If you suppress it in one form, it merely re-emerges in another form. You can not believe in God, but you still have to believe in something that gives meaning to your life, and shapes your sense of the world. Such a belief is religious."
Obama really is a cult – and this is that moment we will one day look back upon and wonder: "Why the hell did so many people follow him so blindly..." While I'm glad to be a non-believer, its scary to watch this unfold in this way. - Loki101, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1AND HE WILL RAISE HILLARY FROM THE DEAD.
Well, sorta. How much am I being offered against an Obama/Clinton run? - rabidmonkey1, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1People need to understand what Propaganda is. Take a look at number 1 on this list:

- illycoffee, on 02/14/2008, -1/+1ah, yes, most definitely...
Spread the good word, my friend...for through Him, we may redeem ourselves and rectify the sins of a nation that hath elected George Bush twice.
As jimbabb above says - "The deification of politicians exposes the hypocrisy and irrationality of both politics and religion." - drband36, on 02/14/2008, -1/+1Cynics deluxe.
I went there on very little sleep and didn't see the joke. Sheesh.
Some people really, really need to take up stamp collecting. - illycoffee, on 02/14/2008, -2/+2You nailed it.
- JDenigma, on 02/14/2008, -2/+2I know you're not even being serious, at least I hope not.

- fatbert, on 02/15/2008, -1/+1That's so awful I just have to digg you up.
- algood7, on 03/18/2008, -0/+0I agree Jake Tapper when he said that Obama and his supporters resemble a cult. In fact, I completely agree. I get a bad feeling when I see Obama and his supporters. I don't know exactly what it is, but something about him really creeps me out and sets off my instincts. And, btw, his little futuristic logo with the sun over the stripes seems the most cultish of it all.
All I can say is beware of false prophets. Its happened to mankind before and will happen again if we don't learn from our past mistakes and look beyond the enticing speeches. - Bengoshi, on 03/03/2008, -0/+0Agreed -- glittering generalities, that's this candidate to a T. One key facet of most religions is that the pronouncements are so broad and vague that they are incapable of being debated or proved wrong ("god is everywhere"). Hilary has no chance to debate Obama because there's no real substance to address ("We believe in change").
- Bengoshi, on 03/03/2008, -0/+0Amen, Amen! Wish I could be a true believer, like your commentators, but I was always taught to value substance over fluff.
- marytnurse, on 02/14/2008, -2/+1Too bad you choose RNC talking points to prove your self, instead of going to the source....but hey, ignorance seems to be bliss to ya, so enjoy!
- iamthejoker, on 02/13/2008, -6/+4That is so strange you wrote that. Wow. Did you know, they said the exact same thing about Jesus? Almost word for word. Scout's honor.
- inactive, on 02/12/2008, -10/+6Pretty amazing for a guy that supports baby killing (abortion), rule by thugs (denying the right of self defense through gun control), and the invasion of our country (path to citizenship for illegal immigrants)
