- bigjimslade, on 01/08/2008, -12/+288Of course it was staged. How in the hell do two guys with huge signs that say "Iron My Shirt" get into a closed event?
- Monolith4, on 01/08/2008, -3/+249He should have at least mixed it up a little bit, instead of just repeating "iron my shirt" 1000 times. How about "bake me a pie!", "knit me a sweater!", "clean my toilet!"
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -15/+141I'd bet $20 it's a plant from her campaign.
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -8/+115When's the last time you saw or heard of an actual sexist man who would think that showing up with "Iron my shirt" at woman's campaign event would be "cool" or somehow prove a point, without making a joke?
And front row... This made me think of a group of "feminists" where I live. They keep making up sexism to justifty their own existence. Now they are attacking women who are not women enough, Ie. women who choose to stay at home, women who choose to become strippers, fashion trends being too sexy, etc. It's nonsense.
Nobody would think this guy is being serious in any other context.
Plus she cried on tv. If a man would oppose to having a woman as president, the first thing he would say is that she'd break down when faced with strong adversity. She cried because of a question. - sideshowRAHEEM, on 01/08/2008, -4/+101It was staged but not by Hillary it was the work of "Toucher and Rich" a local afternoon radio show, way to do absolutely no research.
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -6/+99And the Golden Globe goes to...
- Conwaysb0718, on 01/08/2008, -11/+98Dear Hillary Camp,
For a negotiable fee I would gladly hold a derogatory sign, repeatedly yell sexist slurs, get in a shoving match with one of your staff while yelling another candidates name (your choice of course), cry a little bit on your behalf or maybe even strap road flares to my chest while shouting "never will a woman run my America!"
Mum's the word,
Conwaysb0718 - proseandpromise, on 01/08/2008, -7/+87If it wasn't staged, it still wasn't real sexism. A fratboy prank maybe. A stage-prop probably. A rally cry for feminism? Not so much. But still the woman in the crowd cheer wildly.... Women that vote for Hillary just because she's a woman should be ashamed of themselves.
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -2/+60or 'get in the kitchen!'
- ladon86, on 01/08/2008, -4/+59Or maybe:
'Use your husband's success as a springboard for you own career!' - understudy, on 01/08/2008, -7/+61When she says "Can we turn the lights on, it's awfully dark here for everybody" she gives it away.
Horrible acting. Cheap stunt.
_ - davidsmero, on 01/08/2008, -9/+63Buried as inaccurate, we all know Hilary is no woman.
- Groovemaster, on 01/08/2008, -5/+57Everything about the US political system is staged.
- CatalystDM, on 01/08/2008, -4/+53Seriously though, Hillary, iron my goddamn shirt.
- smoothmedia, on 01/08/2008, -3/+50Make me a sandwich
- Joomal, on 01/08/2008, -7/+51What if we agree with the guy?
- mjpanzer, on 01/08/2008, -7/+46Bitch, make me a sandwich!
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -5/+43he didn't get tazed.... obviously staged.
- Hermiod, on 01/08/2008, -2/+39Exactly, she's losing because Democrats agree with Obama more than they agree with her, not because she's a woman. I'm not an American, I'm just an observer, but if I was American I'd vote for Obama because I agree with him. I wouldn't vote for Senator Clinton because I don't agree with her - specifically due to her anti-video gaming policies. She's losing so she plays the "you're not voting for me because you're sexist" card. No, Senator, they're not voting for you because you're not the best person for the job. You're not even a good second choice.
I'm British, I've already had a woman Prime Minister in my lifetime and I've voted for two different Asian women to be my local MP in General Elections, her gender is no big deal to me. - inactive, on 01/08/2008, -2/+37My shirt is wrinkly.
- umrgregg, on 01/08/2008, -0/+32Yeah, we know that isn't her strong suit.
- Conwaysb0718, on 01/08/2008, -3/+31He was probably instructed to only say that one phrase and not get creative just in case he says something REALLY stupid.
- DYNAMICENTRYYY, on 01/08/2008, -5/+31 Even if it was staged the sign still carried an important message.
- jcims, on 01/08/2008, -5/+28too bad you won't find anyone to take that bet, it would be easy money.
- jon30041, on 01/08/2008, -1/+23Her husband got impeached because he had to find somewhere else to get the fun.
She won't suck anything. Except at being a good candidate. - bbtrev, on 01/08/2008, -0/+22and make me some dinner!!
- HenvY, on 01/08/2008, -7/+29The sad thing is Hillary has probably never ironed a shirt in her life. She fails as a woman! I bet she makes a crappy sandwich too.
- themonkman, on 01/08/2008, -1/+23and suck on my penis!!!
ok...maybe that wen't a little too far - doctechnical, on 01/08/2008, -2/+23"How in the hell do two guys with huge signs that say "Iron My Shirt" get into a closed event?"
They were written on the back of "Hillary's the Man for Me!" signs. - airwalkery2k, on 01/08/2008, -8/+29It's scary to know the level of contempt she and her campaign holds for both the press and the public by staging things like this. It makes me shudder to think she is one of the leading candidates for President.
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -0/+20Local Radio Station Stunt Targets Clinton
http://wbztv.com/local/hillary.clinton.hecklers.2. ...
http://www.myspace.com/toucherandrich - emehrkay, on 01/08/2008, -5/+25you know Hilary aint makin no damn sandwiches unless you -SUDO it
- nesibus, on 01/08/2008, -5/+22I would have went with "suck the *****"
- AlexPod, on 01/08/2008, -2/+19Hilary keeps getting lost on her way to the kitchen and ends up at podiums giving speeches. What gives?
- badtzmartin, on 01/08/2008, -1/+17I wouldn't let that beast near my junk.
- KJSatz, on 01/08/2008, -0/+15Oh zing....
- doctechnical, on 01/08/2008, -1/+16...and bake me some cookies!
- Conwaysb0718, on 01/08/2008, -1/+16KBBL is gonna give me somethin' stupid!
- atbnet, on 01/08/2008, -2/+16You guys missed the obvious:
'Suck my dick' - boneill428, on 01/08/2008, -5/+19I would take you up on the bet. It's easy money for me since I know who did it. It was from a radio station in Boston. Listen to Toucher & Rich on WBCN 104.1 in Boston or at www.wbcn.com 3-7pm today and I'm sure you will find out all about it.
- tekrat, on 01/08/2008, -5/+19How about:
Get Barefoot
Be Pregnant - Fordi, on 01/08/2008, -0/+13I certainly don't. Unless they've been in the military, most women have no ***** clue how to properly press a men's buttonfront.
- Mahstah, on 01/08/2008, -1/+13and make me some pie!!!
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 01/08/2008, -1/+13FOX News would have used the line "Some say it was staged".
- Nidy1, on 01/08/2008, -2/+14Should be ashamed also. Did you expect otherwise?
- richbleak, on 01/08/2008, -2/+14You are right. I hadn't thought of that. How shortsighted of me. She probably planted them into jobs on a popular Boston radio station and ordered them to do extremely stupid bits for years just so no one would think anything of it when this day came. She truly is the master manipulator.
Speaking of scenarios that are just as plausible as yours: How do you know that they didn't ask her to run for president just so they could do this bit? In fact, they could have arranged for Bill Clinton to become the governor of Arkansas, just so they could one day make him President. This would allow them to make a name for Hillary so that she could one day become a Senator and be within striking distance of the presidency. All so they could send an underling to yell sexist jokes at her rally. Genius!
*If your comment was a sarcastic joke meant to point out the ridiculous nature of people who think along those lines, I apologize for bringing the sarcasm hammer down so hard and I bow to your play. Otherwise, you got what you deserved.* - Teku, on 01/08/2008, -3/+15I am not sexist but it should have said "make me a sandwich". If it had I would have drove to NH to shake that mans hand. For the sheer audacity.
- GroundhogBoy, on 01/08/2008, -4/+15Radio personalities can't be Hillary plants?
- hovester, on 01/08/2008, -9/+18That has staged written all over it. Looks like Hillary is getting pretty desperate.
- birdman505, on 01/09/2008, -0/+9Do it for less than a $1000 and your chump. The Clintons are rich as hell.
I am getting paid $2500 by Romney to yell out that Mormons suck at his events. Being a professional heckler is a sweet gig.
