Newsmax story = Story about the virtues of Iraq war. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Creationism also has strong supporters in the United States, yet that hardly means creationism is on equal footing with science. The zeal of supporters of a cause is irrelevant to the cause's validity--it is facts and evidence which decide. And the fact is that the United States should never have been in Iraq in the first place--it harms our armed forces, it has imperiled our mission in Afghanistan, it has cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and to top it all off, it has actually increased the danger from terrorism!
If the far-right 22% wants to gain more support for the war, they should volunteer to pay off the cost themselves instead of foisting it off on the people who opposed the war--and who were called traitors for their patriotism. They should volunteer their own precious selves for duty as well, but probably won't--learning responsibility takes time. - corporate70, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Yup, leaving before the war was over worked out great in Vietnam.
