- MrBabyMan, on 06/15/2009, -2/+254Are you kidding?! You trolling me is one of things I look forward to on Digg.
- inactive, on 06/15/2009, -9/+201Hey MrBabyMan, if you change your icon to green in support of the Iranian people, I'll stop trolling you.
- Amlethus, on 06/15/2009, -0/+137The guy in #29 is a true hero. He doesn't put his beliefs above the life of someone else.
- IanG73, on 06/15/2009, -1/+135Boston.com never seizes to amaze me with their pictures.
- fifthelement80, on 06/15/2009, -3/+115Please Digg this article and support Iranian people against religious regime.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR WORLD PEACE , PLEASE SUPPORT US. CALL YOUR GOVERNMENT AND ASK THEM TO SUPPORT IRANIAN PEOPLE. - mitikomon, on 06/15/2009, -1/+97It's not about stopping all mullahs or mullahism. All we want is our "republic" back. eventually, all other things would change slowly like women's rights and freedom of speech, but step by step.
the opposition candidates are from this regime. 1-Mossavi was prime minister for 8 years. 2-Karroubi was head of the Parliament for two terms. 3-Rezaee was head of Sepah during 8 years with Iraq. Ahmdi-Nezhad and his group are total fascist.
Actually it's a protest against stepping back to 100 years ago, in Iran.
p.s: I couldn't express some phrases to English properly. - Tripw0l, on 06/15/2009, -1/+94"Where's my vote?"
- mitikomon, on 06/15/2009, -2/+92Thank you babyman for green color.
- Grooblle, on 06/15/2009, -3/+85Stop the mullahs! Support the people of Teheran who are fighting the dictatorship!!
- KotoOni, on 06/15/2009, -0/+80#29 is the best one, I thought.
- hmunkey, on 06/15/2009, -6/+80The chick in #1 is hot.
Yes, that was completely irrelevant but I wanted to express my feelings. - hypografik, on 06/15/2009, -3/+76Notice how there is absolutely no women among Ahmadinejad supporters?
- techlinks, on 06/16/2009, -1/+67Once again Boston.com proves it's the ONLY website capable of presenting an article with pictures that is usable.
- hmunkey, on 06/15/2009, -0/+51Me too. It really shows how the protesters are fighting the good fight. They're not out there to kill people. They're not out to hurt individual government agents. They're simply demanding democracy and a massive change in their system.
- diggadigga, on 06/16/2009, -1/+51God I love technology. Cameras, internet video, internet, social media. Dictatorships are going to have trouble as these resources continue to get cheaper and more available.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -4/+53Ok, then in that case..
HOW IS BABBY MAN FORMED - inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+48Yes there is!
They have beards though. - quaxon, on 06/15/2009, -1/+43I have a lot of family in Tehran right now and when they called last night they said that a lot of the Basij/military guards were brought in from Lebanon to deal with the situation. I don't see any news reporting of this but if it were true that would explain the sudden surge of violence as all of those in the military are there by law and many agree with the protesters rather than the ruling gov.
My grandpa over there just had a heart attack as well and my dad is flying out there tonight, i would have gone with him but he is worried i wouldn't be able to leave or something bad would happen. I am scheduled to go there in July though so hopefully things have calmed down by then or better yet there is a whole new government! - NBCLocal, on 06/24/2009, -4/+41I have no comment on the politics of the situation, but those are incredible photographs. Thoughts are with all those in Iran.
- inactive, on 06/15/2009, -1/+38"p.s: I couldn't express some phrases to English properly."
Ironically, this is the only phrase you didn't express to English properly, lol. Still dugg you up. - JCEEZ, on 06/15/2009, -2/+38Persian chicks are pretty hot.
- Hetman, on 06/15/2009, -3/+38Number 2 and 16. It appears all the hot chicks voted for Mir Hossein Mousavi.
http://digg.com/d1teNq - lundeja, on 06/15/2009, -0/+29I think you mean "ceases." If not, it's nice that they don't seize to amaze you with their pictures. I hate it when websites do that.
Edit: I do agree with you, though. Boston.com has very real and compelling galleries. Gotta love that they keep it to one page, too. - urik88, on 06/16/2009, -3/+31I specially liked the pictures of the supporters of the opposition trying to rescue an injured police officer. A man that probably would have tried to beat them if he wasn't injured.
- sulthernao, on 06/16/2009, -0/+26There is a video that accompanies it a similar scene, where the protesters help a injured policeman. The crowd was being peaceful, the police/thugs come in on motorcycles beating people senseless. The crowd runs away, then they come back and start fighting back. This police officer was hurt when the motorcycle overturned/caught on fire, the crowd helps gets him away. The police officer was in a state of shock.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSECAvBTanQ (Italian guy is filming). - jonnyboyca, on 06/15/2009, -1/+27Follow the live tweets on twitter as they happen! Iranian people are keeping us updated faster than US Media #CNNFail #IranElection
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23IranElection - cygnus2112, on 06/15/2009, -0/+25It shows me that the police are on the wrong side of the fight. The Iranian police should join the reformist revolution and oust the corrupt dictatorship and regime.
Restore Iran's dignity and honor. Join the green movement. - mitikomon, on 06/16/2009, -0/+24dont be harsh on him (the guard). I live in Iran and by his look I can tell you that he is from far-far-away rural area which even free education was out of question for him. he probably had to join these forces to support his family of 8.
- shutaro, on 06/15/2009, -2/+26Yeah! ***** that guy!
- inactive, on 06/15/2009, -1/+25Keep fighting, don't back down until you get justice.
- ArthasMenethil, on 06/16/2009, -2/+26***** THE RIAA!
- Chapman9110, on 06/16/2009, -1/+25So many of the girls or so incredibly hot.
- Uberfat, on 06/15/2009, -8/+31This should serve as a warning to Americans. The extreme religious right in America would love nothing more than a Christian theocracy that would enable them to force their religious views on all citizens. Funny how those same conservatives despise the current leadership in Iran. Jealousy maybe?
I hope for the best for the people of Iran who are fighting for democracy. - MaxMyers, on 06/16/2009, -2/+25He speaks! Why don't you return my emails MrBabyMan?
- jasdf, on 06/16/2009, -2/+24Everyone needs to do the same: sorry to pitch my own submission but here it is:
http://digg.com/world_news/Make_this_your_profile_ ... - JCEEZ, on 06/15/2009, -5/+26I hear Bush also like his steaks medium rare, so do I, so I agree with Bush?
He didn't invent hating Ahmadinejad.
Soooo ***** AHMADINEJAD and ***** G.W. BUSH and ***** TPMIDD - masamunecyrus, on 06/16/2009, -0/+20A lot of people overseas are very interested in these protests. Although we can't do much, what we can do is help keep it in the media spotlight. Hopefully it goes better for you guys than Tiananmen did.
- calypsoschnitzl, on 06/16/2009, -1/+21The Basij are the worst of all people, they rank as low as the gestapo, ss, and talibans. Scumbags.
- Tiak, on 06/16/2009, -0/+19To repeat a quote that's been bouncing around the internet:
"I went to the last major Ahmadinejad rally and got the whiff of what I imagine fascism to have been all about. Lots of splotchy boys who can't get a date are given guns and told they're special." - quaxon, on 06/15/2009, -0/+19the only other new i can find on lebanese forces in Iran is http://twitter.com/oli2be/statuses/2183785628
this seems like it should be a huge story, using foreign forces to quell protests is very bad form. - inactive, on 06/15/2009, -0/+18#28 shows the whole crowd trying to rescue him.
- jesusisapanda, on 06/16/2009, -0/+16Hes real?
- michelsonmorley, on 06/15/2009, -1/+17This makes me terribly angry. The anti riot police are fully equipped with exceptional gear attacking people wearing nothing but cloth. Fabulous pictures btw.
- sulthernao, on 06/16/2009, -0/+16Iran police aren't attacking that much. Most of the gruesome stuff are the basiji - plain clothed Revolutionary Guards.
- SoCalCove, on 06/16/2009, -0/+13dig,
at the end of it all, brothers and sisters fall on both sides of the line. - inactive, on 06/15/2009, -4/+17americans wont get off their ass, we might miss nascar
- SoCalCove, on 06/16/2009, -0/+12Its not the point if mitikomon is from Iran or not, he/she is right. Its not about sweeping instant capitalism / western culture, but hopefully what the public itself will decide what is best for all.
I get some bad vibes when a government actively deploys plains clothing officers to hunt down people. - bkraj, on 06/16/2009, -0/+12Thanks for sharing, I hope your grandpa/dad are alright/stay safe.
- taylorhayward, on 06/15/2009, -0/+12It starts with a good intention, that finds a party, that creates division, that becomes a battle, that invites deception, that corrupts a leader, that rigs the system - and on, and on, and on...
