- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -11/+123oh let this be the "October surprise"
- jsatz23, on 09/05/2008, -8/+72It should be released before the election because the public deserves to know everything about this woman who will basically be President with McCain having one foot in the grave already if McCain wins.
- SushiCW, on 09/05/2008, -1/+46Good. Get it settled soon, one way or another.
- pennsykid2000, on 09/05/2008, -10/+51This is what Palin wants. I think the implication is that Palin and the Republicans want it speeded up so they have time to minimize the damage. If it was released when scheduled, Oct 31, they wouldn't have time to react. This is like the news of Bush's DUI arrest from 1976 that was disclosed to the press just before the 2000 election. He didn't have time to respond.
- savagesteve13, on 09/05/2008, -11/+46Now what?!? She's so scandal ridden she makes McCain look clean, or maybe thats the purpose.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -22/+53HOPE FADES FOR McCAIN/PALIN.
- bushisafag, on 09/05/2008, -3/+27I understand he is already "vetting" Paris Hilton.
- chrissku, on 09/05/2008, -8/+30If McCain had done his job in the first place the media wouldn't have to dig this hard. This has nothing to do with Sarah being a women. If it was Sam Palin they would be doing the exact same thing. If the media were to stop digging they would be doing the American people a huge disservice.
FYI McCain campaign.....the more you try to bury Sarah's past, the harder they will dig. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -17/+39She is so obviously a crook. Look at her extremist creationist and educational policies. Look at her wrecked household family. And most importantly, look at how she always stresses the "hockey mom" aspect to hide her lack of credibility. It's all about personality for her.
- Buddhaismybuddy, on 09/05/2008, -3/+24Or they will bend some arms to make sure it says shes innocent then exploit it to the max.
They aren't stupid they are republican. - tsf5000, on 09/05/2008, -1/+21You obviously didn't even bother to look at the link. It's from ABC news, not some "Dopey Liberal Leftist bloggers with ZERO credibility".
.....lol - EtherGnat, on 09/05/2008, -0/+17Seriously! Who cares if the woman who wants to be the second most powerful person in American politics likes to illegally abuse her power. Nothing bad could possibly come of that.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -6/+23Listen, idiot, Chicago has 3 million residents. We have 130,000 soldiers in Iraq. Do the math. The percentage of American deaths compared to population is much higher in Iraq than it is in Chicago.
And there has also been 756 Iraqi murders in the month of May to Chicago's 125 over the entire summer. But I guess Iraqi lives don't mean much to patriotic Americans like you. - DVmaker, on 09/05/2008, -3/+18Apparently, you sir, have no ideas of you own.
- monkeyrun, on 09/05/2008, -6/+20Evidently the GOP already threw in the towel on this election.
I bet Mitt Romney is ROTFLOL. - ironhide, on 09/05/2008, -0/+14Um, haven't you been paying attention? The MSM dutifully reported on all the lame Obama smears. (flag pin, etc.)
- ralph123, on 09/05/2008, -1/+13Sigh:
FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_th ... - an0nymous, on 09/05/2008, -1/+13Interesting interpretation. Situation looks reversed to me.
- letdowntourist, on 09/05/2008, -1/+11Believe this investigation was going on before she was nominated. But I guess my sources could have been lacking credibility about that too.
- Suzilla, on 09/05/2008, -4/+14@lajaw
You ENJOY seeing a country divided? You ENJOY seeing mud slung at specious issues? You enjoy seeing energy expended to make up lies and divert attention from the real problems facing us all?
Really? - twiztidsinz, on 09/05/2008, -1/+10Well.. that'd sure explain why you felt the need to escape the future.
- SmartfulDodger, on 09/05/2008, -0/+9It's all about personality. Or as one conservative commentator put it, "political ***** about narratives".
- Webnower, on 09/05/2008, -20/+29Palin is *****.
- ashwinmudigonda, on 09/05/2008, -2/+11This is the republican ploy:
For the convention, get a chick. Get Hillary voters to switch camps and love McBush.
October surprise:
-> VP chick is Jack Abramoff's clone. Lose the VP chick. Get Lieberman/Romney and solidify base.
-> Release Bin Laden from secret prison and shoot him as he blinks for the first time in sunlight. Carry corpse on Fox news. - ncc74656m, on 09/05/2008, -4/+13I can't wait to read this! I bet McCain's voters can't wait to learn to read so they can read this!!!
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -1/+10And he still won the election.
- twiztidsinz, on 09/05/2008, -0/+9Um... I'm gonna take a long shot here....
The American public? - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -8/+17Proof or shut the ***** up
- Mejari, on 09/05/2008, -1/+9You're really going to claim that Obama is the one who wins by "default", when the only reason McCain is the nominee because he just muddled along while everyone else actually tried to win and screwed themselves over, so he was the only one left.
- twiztidsinz, on 09/05/2008, -1/+9How is being deceitful and corrupt a change?
- twiztidsinz, on 09/05/2008, -0/+8*covers ears and closes eyes* LALALALALALALALALA
WHERE'S OBAMA'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE?? - Viperidae, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7Sarah Palin is a muslim from Indonesia?
- IrishJoe, on 09/05/2008, -2/+9A sped up investigation usually means whitewash. Excessively long investigations are fishing expeditions. Look at the years of Ken Starr investigations of Clinton trying to find anything until they hit pay dirt with Monica Lewinsky. Since McCain sent a battalion of his lawyers up to Alaska to twist arms and the Alaskan government is almost entirely Republican the outcome will be a whitewash. Trust me. Long after the election the truth will trickle out, but it will be too late to do any damage to Palin's VP chances. She's being kept silent to allow for heavy arm twisting and document shredding and bribing.
- IphtashuFitz, on 09/05/2008, -3/+10Are you really trying to equate extremism & creationism with her being a crook? That's the way your comment reads to me...
- arcangelgabriel, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7I think your going to find the October Surprise is that your Rush Limbaugh Press on Penis™ is really a kosher dill and some pushpins.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 09/05/2008, -3/+10POWs are forced to say things all the time like that, including written statements. No one takes them seriously.
Remember the pilots shot down in the first Gulf War? They were all put on Iraqi TV making anti-war statements. - zephyear, on 09/05/2008, -9/+16oh man mccain could not have picked a better vp
so many scandals so little time already for this girl - SDeluxe, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7Yep, I want to see her this cynical tyrant who calls himself a republican be taken down. Give it a good few months time. Obama will settle in, the wealthy will cry, and all of those born into less fortunate situations, or those of who don't live the good life, can maybe.. feel a tiny bit of this "prosperity" that John McCain speaks of
- SmartfulDodger, on 09/05/2008, -1/+7It shouldn't scare you, it should make you reevaluate your choice of support. The truth isn't always an easy pill to swallow.
- MindTrigger, on 09/05/2008, -2/+851% of ***** who? I am a registered independent and no one has called to ask my opinion. Those polls are *****. *ALL* of them. Ask yourselves how many of you have ever been called by a pollster.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6What cards? He admits to what happened, he's not trying to cover anything up. No one would fault him for anything. He was tortured. His statements under those conditions are meaningless. If anything it would help him get the sympathy vote.
That link doesn't support your point. Perhaps you're having some problems with reading comprehension? - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6Of course the article omits the tiny fact that Palin hired lawyers to represent her and to speed this up. Palin initiated this...
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -1/+7Americans who dont want their country turned into a fascist police state under McCain/McMilf and their party pals
- paintgrl, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6Well then lets find out whether your right and lay it to rest. If she is innocent all the better, right? If not we have a right to know she abused her power in a personal matter which will not be good for anyone.
- azhura, on 09/05/2008, -2/+8Dugg for being accurate.
- ironhide, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6Didn't you idiots try this with the Clintons also?
- Blasphemous88, on 09/05/2008, -8/+14They'll delay it at all costs. Anything to get the election over with with a victory. Who cares what the country finds out afterword. I mean look what we tolerated after we found out how horrendous the Bush administration was?
- ruforealz, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5Is there a cure for herpes in the future?
...
don't ask - MurMurs, on 09/05/2008, -2/+7Have you ever heard of senior citizens who have worked their whole lives only to be left without medical insurance? Have you ever had to put a whole family on a health insurance plan? I doubt it, because if you had, you would know that the cost of just supplying your family with medical insurance can leave you with little to no income to provide for them. And to think..with views like this, you actually have the right to vote.
- Hillsfar, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6The Alaska Legislature, DOMINATED BY REPUBLICANS, in a bipartisan effort, started this investigation. So for Republicans to say it's a Democratic witch-hunt is out-and-out lying. It goes along with McCain/Palin promising to bring transparency and honesty to Washington, while her lawyer tries to delay the investigation and even tried to get the investigation to be transferred to a 3-person panel made up of appointees APPOINTED BY PALIN (who owe their jobs to Palin). Until Republicans address this little hypocrisy issue, anything else they say in these comments are not to be believed.
