- DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36Damn, at what point can you lock these guys up? We need a case so concrete that partisan-voting Republicans can't defeat it and divert public attention (such as the Republicans' repeated defeat of the democrats funding proposals to bring the troops home). The maddening thing about this administration is that you can't slam-dunk convict them of much, despite crimes which are obvious to the public. The worst part is that they somehow coerce GNP legislators to continue defending them like some kind of Neo Con mafia! I used to be a Republican, but the party has lost its dignity and lost my vote. The Neo Cons have ruined it. When are reasonable Republicans going to stand up and take their party back?
Pre-emptive war? Pre-emptive war by intelligence that was PROVEN TO BE FALSIFIED no less? Legalizing torture and spying on American citizens without a warrant? Good lord, what does it take? They got Libby, but I really want to see Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush go down. - hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -2/+35These incompetent fools in the Bush Administration make Nixon look like George Washington. Pathetic.
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Digg is filled with anti-Bush administration stories because they are a bunch of lying criminals, not because there is some kind of liberal conspiracy to get stories bashing Bush to the front page. Not everyone who hates Bush and particularly the current administration is a "liberal" or a Democrat, they're simply rational human beings.
- DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -0/+25why must your mind file things in partisan ways? I *want* to be Republican, but these guys are crooks. It's not about your "team" winning or losing. It's about what's good for America. The repubs need a candidate that will stand up against the neo con mafia.
- neodorian, on 10/11/2007, -0/+24You do realize that not everyone who disagrees with the Bush administration is a liberal, right?
- zweben, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23If you don't like Thinkprogress, that's fine. They're biased and I think everyone knows this. To think that just because they're biased means absolutely everything they says is false, however, is not extremely smart.
Read this instead, straight from the US House of Representatives:
http://oversight.house.gov/documents/20070618105243.pdf
Or is that not reputable enough for you? (I'm guessing the answer is yes, because you're a troll.) - shawnolds, on 10/11/2007, -6/+27Hmmm..... I wonder if this will make it on to the Major Media News-u-tainment channels. Maybe one or two small spots, but I'm guessing no. Major Media is such crap these days.
- CheckPlease, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21They also usually think that there's a giant grand-dad in the sky who sits in a throne and throws lightning bolts at non-whites and gay people who want to get married.
- 2010student, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20I'd argue that these "fools" are not really incompetent; they're quite competent at accomplishing their own agenda
- stupidape, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19not likely. criticizing the white house gets you banned from interviews and most americans really don't care that the government has been hijacked by bumbling criminals, its just too depressing...
- CheckPlease, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Actually, the election-related stories would be more along the tone of "9-11 happened on Giuliani's watch, he was too dumb to move his central office out of the WTC after the first time it was attacked, and he tried to get a crooked cop with mob ties to run Homeland Security," or "Fred Thompson is a well-greased lobbying pawn," etc. You see, Bush isn't running this time, at least while what's left of the Constitution is intact.
The "surge" in Bush-related stories may have to do with a horrid Middle East policy, Justice Department chicanery, and impeachment becoming more than a whispered word. - swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14I love how wing-nuts use the word "moonbat" like it actually means something. But I guess when you are trying to defend illegal violation of the Hatch Act, made-up words are pretty much your only option.
"Liberal poopy-heads are just trying to make Bush look bad! Waah! Waah!" - zweben, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Well, he's been pretty successful in taking away fundamental liberties.
It's not like that was an accident. - bemenaker, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12This is a clear violation of public record laws. When are we going to do something about this?
- MonsterChaOS, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11How do 30% of people still support Bush and his cronies?
- iDragonFly, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13No doubt, if this information were to make even a slight wave on major media networks, the GOP mash machine would go right to work neutralizing the message behind the significance of this particular violation.
- smackedup, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11Ok let's list all of George Bush's' successes... Ok I'm waiting.....................
still nothing...............................................hm...............................................could it be that he's had none?..........................................Then he shouldn't be President! - ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9They work for/with them.
- DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8ahh liberalplacebo, thy avatar is a green light for the bury button
such is the case with anyone liberal or conservative who automatically blogs partisan like a propaganda bot and has no individual opinions - Eivo, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Smells like....
.....IT IS!!!!!
Trolling! Hit up every article with Bush in it, it make you a WINNER!! - DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9the only reason that the liberal congress can't bring the troops home is because the GOP is not giving them any votes to override the president's veto. The democrats by themselves don't have enough votes to override the president's veto so there isn't much they can do to end the war.
They are working on something to revoke the president's commander-in-chief status though, because war was never officially declared so he shouldn't have that status. At least that's what I heard. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8This kind of reminds me of the cops/sheriffs around here all using nextel phones for their communication when they dont want to talk over airwaves the general public can easily tap into.
what other reason is there for this other than wanting to cover up things?
public officials with authority over citizens should have no privacy in their work - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Yeah, god forbid someone bring this into the light.
Hey, if bush does something good and there's a story posted, ill dig that. - ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Ouch, that is so true, though.
- hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5If Clinton had done this, I bet money you would have been crying for Impeachment. Hypocrite Alert! Where this article came from doesn't change the fact that this Administration has consistently violated the law an a range of issues, not the least of which are these RNC email accounts.
- robdiggity, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Not *directly* criticizing the white house here per se - the *actual* potential crime here is one of the RNC violating the document retention requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. This is a serious deal carrying a maximum 20 year sentence per violation.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Jesus told them to.
- swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Obviously the term "moonbats" is a subtle reference to the recent "mooninite" bomb scare in Boston. By comparing Liberals to the mooninite hoax devices, Conservative diggers like liberalplacebo and theeditor are cleverly implying that liberals are primarily composed of blue LEDs and are easily mistaken for bombs. And they also hate our freedoms.
- akatherder, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Every time I hear something like this, I get my hopes up that someone, somewhere will be held accountable. All I ask from my elected officials is accountability (this includes Republicans and Democrats).
So far Libby is the only one who took a fall and he's going to get pardoned anyway. - ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Moonbats? What the *****? You trolls are jokes!
- hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Yeah another 'blame it all on liberals' fool. Does it not bother you that Bush and people in his Administration are violalating the LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY??! Or does the Constitution mean nothing to you? Grow up.
- hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Troll alert..move along.
- CheckPlease, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Is there still a war in Iraq? That's why.
- GeneralFault, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Perhaps because the percentage of people that know who Reid is and those that approve of him are closely related?
Perhaps because Harry Reid is only one of 99 other Senators and the U.S. population as a whole generally dislikes everybody else's Senator (giving each a national 2% approval rating to start with)?
Perhaps because this is a story about Bush, and not about Harry Reid?
Perhaps because Reid's decisions have not led to:
the death of hundreds of thousands
the reinstatement of torture as an acceptable practice
the suspension of Habeas Corpus
the CIA listening at least once to yours and my phone conversations
your an ass that is trying to change the subject so that you don't have to face the fact that your hero is a lier and a criminal?
Just my guesses. - iDragonFly, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Come on, throw the trolls a bone.
They're just doing their masters bidding. - TubaTechno, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The problem lies with setting your hopes in any political party....especially the DEMs....
- iDragonFly, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3National news outlets have mostly been reduced to propaganda outlets for BushCo.
Thus the average person is mostly unaware of what is happening to their government.
I'd say that this goes beyond disgusting ... it's dangerous. - GeneralFault, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"That goes to the rest of the Diggers that completely dismiss anything Fox News puts out just because they're Fox News...."
And yet, when I see a story on here that references Fox news, I actually usually read it, then debate the story on its merits (or lack of), then finish of the argument with something like "It's Fox, so what did you expect?". I don't ask any more than that of you. - DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4moonbat is the conservative answer to right-wing-nut used by liberals. I'm not sure what the origin of moonbat is, but it is becoming increasingly popular
both are derogatory terms meant to discredit someone who is too extreme and a partisan zealot who always backs his party in the most extreme way possible and has no individual opinions or reasoning skill - PatriotOne, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4And the never ending crime spree by this adminstration still moves forward daily while the wheels of justice has come to a complete stall. I wonder why? Oh yeah.....they are all pretty much part of the mafia like sydication that has taken over our country. The Dems will make sure they show the appropriate amount of disgust and disdain but justice will not be served by them. Just a movie of the week for the gullible public.
For God's sake....hasn't this become obvious yet? Dems/Republicans are the same. Corrupted and moved into power until they are ruling our country. - TubaTechno, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4"To think that just because they're biased means absolutely everything they says is false, however, is not extremely smart."
That goes to the rest of the Diggers that completely dismiss anything Fox News puts out just because they're Fox News.... - HallsOfMandos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This is disgusting. How much will be enough to actually get people to do something about this? I used to think that hey, Jan 2009 isn't that far off, let's just wait for him to be gone. At this point, however, I shiver to think how much more he can get done before he leaves. It is time to put a stop to this.
- bemenaker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3to hell w/ SOX rules, how about Federal Gov't data retention laws.
- DangerCollie, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3"Some fresh Liberal Stooge Bait courtesy of our moonbat friends over at "thinkprogress.org"."
So what do you call the Stooge Bait from Fox News?
I'll take the company of moonbats over the likes of you any day. - swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dragun, a wing-nut is someone who is extreme left-wing OR extreme right-wing. It makes sense because if I call you a wing-nut, it implies that you are politically extreme (a "wing" is an extremity) and also a "nut."
@theEditor: If you could provide a similar logical analysis of the alleged word "moonbat" I'd appreciate it. Until then, I'd go with my definition. - swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2CNN doesn't report on "investigations" because they are terrified of accusations of "liberal bias." They will wait for the indictments, and in the meantime the GOP talking point will be that this is a "non-story" because no national news organization is reporting on it.
- hcl40u, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Oh don't worry I'm sure there will be more "Bush visits Albania, thousands cheer!" stories you can bring up to counter the anti-Bush stories.
- mishaco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2is this worse than watergate and a blowjob combined NOW?!!
- iDragonFly, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2BushCo. is not just a bunch of incompetent fools
It is however, filled with hardcore power mongers with clear agendas and well developed plans.
Nothing happens by accident with these guys, (except for the occasional slip up, or leak).
But even then, a well devised plan is ready and waiting for covering up such events. - iDragonFly, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2And where would you suggest we go?
America's influence reaches worldwide, there's no escaping it.
Also, in my opinion, to do nothing at all is to give permission.
As much as I'd like to, I cannot turn away from the situation that we are all faced with, but all the same, I can relate to your feelings of discouragement. -
