- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -3/+4I read this yesterday and went to submit it today... This article provides a great insight into Obama. This is a man whose public political positions (but not his core beliefs) seem to have been refined in the classroom. It (perhaps unintentionally) paints Obama as a cold calculator who takes waffly positions in attempts please either side of an argument. In other words, Obama is the type of politician everyone seemed to hate until we finally got one who doesn't give a damn about what the public thinks and who only cares about doing what he thinks is right when it comes to the most important issues of our time.
Spending time practicing for your future political campaigns in a classroom is not a substitute for actual experience. Obama's personal associations with the extreme-left, perhaps the only insight we have into what direction Obama will take when he faces tough decisions, make him (using his own words) too great of a risk for our country to take. - AxmxZ, on 07/30/2008, -4/+1Makes me regret being an undergrad on the U of C campus when he was teaching and not a law student.
