- tcbishop12, on 09/05/2008, -5/+105According to Nicole Wallace of the McCain campaign, the American people don't care whether Sarah Palin can answer specific questions about foreign and domestic policy.
According to Wallace (on Joe Scarborough's show) "the American people will learn all they need to know (and all they deserve to know) from Palin's scripted speeches and choreographed appearances on the campaign trail and in campaign ads."
That ain't all: Despite earlier promises to the contrary, Sarah Palin is now refusing to cooperate with the trooper-gate investigation. Her lawyer now says she will refuse to be deposed unless the head of the current investigation relinquishes control and hands the investigation over to the state Personnel Board made up of three of Gov. Palin's appointees.
The GOP strategists are trying to hide and cover-up the worst VP candidate in modern history. They only need her for her image until election day. Bit as Sarah Palin has proudly described herself - she is nothing but a Pit ball with lipstick. Give her a script, and she'll deliver it. Is that what America needs, after eight years of Bush Cheney administration, a frothing, rabid, fanatical vindictive anti-feminist religious wingnut extremist and self proclaimed vicious b_tch (lacking in every qualification except the ability to tear people down) for a Vice President a heartbeat away from the Oval Office? - jlpete9, on 09/05/2008, -8/+84Considering he canceled his own visit, no surprise that Sarah "won't be able to make it"
- BishkekBuddy, on 09/06/2008, -4/+59Don't you just have to wonder how it would have been received if Biden had chosen not to meet with the media for 2 weeks so he could "get up to speed" on Obama's positions? Gad....
- AmericanElitist, on 09/06/2008, -8/+45what, and risk her being exposed as completely unqualified to be vp? that would ruin the whole plan!
- kingUssop, on 09/06/2008, -4/+36McCain promises don't mean anything.
- tcbishop12, on 09/05/2008, -8/+35Jesus! No. Not when you know nothing about someone who could well be President, no.
- Proctor, on 09/06/2008, -5/+29If she cant respond to questions asked by a TV news journalist, how is she going to respond to questions/concerns of the American people?
- jamesduh, on 09/06/2008, -3/+24Senator McCain says one thing, while Candidate McCain says another.
- besttoro, on 09/06/2008, -5/+23Didn't Sen. McCain just say something like "I’m not in the habit of breaking promises" in his speech...?
- Moetownslick, on 09/05/2008, -3/+21lol @ "rarely".
how about "NOT" - paintgrl, on 09/06/2008, -2/+18Well said. Clap, clap..
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -7/+23Palin allowed to go on CNN and be as asked cold questions? When hell freezes over maybe.
- 180andback, on 09/06/2008, -3/+19Yeah, US politics isn't in any way relevant to anyone or anything outside of America. You tell us!
- Dunnix, on 09/06/2008, -3/+18Apparently Mccain was mad about this interview on CNN:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYYiw_y2qDI - rald84, on 09/06/2008, -1/+16foxnews had that nifty clock when obama was boycotting them. keith should get one for palin and announce he's keeping track for all the networks. that would be epic win.
- snafflepaffle, on 09/06/2008, -3/+17My favorite bit is "The McCain campaign is increasingly shielding her from formal interviews with the media, saying that it will “do what we think is in our best interest."
Not in the people's best interest, in the best interest of the campaign. Way to represent. - rald84, on 09/06/2008, -2/+15they've said as much
"If she goes out and makes a mistake, that is something that [voters will] care about, and that's something that will haunt [McCain] for awhile, so I think this is a smart move. " - cedarbaydave, on 09/06/2008, -2/+15Hahaha Larry King a firing squad. That is priceless.
I wouldn't see it anyway. I would be watching Obama on O'Reilly. (yes, he is there) - Sup3rSh3ep, on 09/06/2008, -0/+13you should have vote in the primary then.
- lopla, on 09/06/2008, -7/+19The only show this chick belongs on is the Jerry Springer show. I mean WTF!! It's like my sister is running for VP!! I'm scared *****!
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -3/+14Thanks for your endorsement, Zero, but I'm not running for POTUS.
- paintgrl, on 09/06/2008, -4/+14Well if she is so great why are they hiding from the media and not letting the people hear what she thinks. It is obvious that this republican ticket is a sham.
- deleo, on 09/06/2008, -2/+12Obama, Biden and McCain (aside from his CNN boycott) have no problem going on Meet the Press, CNN, Fox News etc. to discuss their positions and answer questions. Sarah Palin reads one speech at the convention and we may not see her again until the debates. I can't believe that millions of Americans have no problem voting for Sarah Palin when 60 days out from the election, the McCain campaign policy is no Sara Palin questions and no interviews, just vote for her. And by the way to the media, stop asking questions about who Sarah Palin is and investigating her in any way. Just shut up and vote for her. What a great democracy we live in!
- DJVoid, on 09/06/2008, -0/+9Sarah Palin has comparable intelligence to that of a box of hair. And yet here is our country's VP-elect.
I keep seeing statements such as, "They are afraid such-and-such will expose her as the unqualified candidate she is". Are you kidding? Can anyone even say ANYTHING that would remotely imply she is ready to run a McDonalds, let alone THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?
But, this is our country, and a large percentage of our population are ***** idiots. ***** idiots. And if you're from a dumb-middle-red state, and you represent who I'm talking about, ***** YOU. ***** I hate sheep, blissfully ignorant, destructive sheep. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -2/+11Obama's life is on public record. You're just too much of an indoctrinated meatsack to use the brain you have and look it up yourself. Seriously FLUX, just shut the ***** up and get out of conversations with adults.
- Barackalypse, on 09/06/2008, -10/+19Yeah, and Obama assured us he'd fight telcom immunity too, then he voted for the FISA spy bill with immunity. Point is, if you believe politicians you're a fool. The more they say they'll do the more full of it you know they are.
- DD2CC2U, on 09/06/2008, -3/+12Yeah when the United States goes to war with Russia that has no effect on anybody else in the world. That is why US politics does not matter to anyone else in the world. (sarcasm)
- slundal, on 09/06/2008, -5/+14I live in sweden and actually care more about who wins this election than I did last time we had an election in Sweden. I am truly scared of thinking what could happen to this world i the Americans elect McIdiot and his side kick in to the White House.
Obama/Biden 08! Sweden loves you guys! - scoottie, on 09/06/2008, -0/+8i had to read that twice but i lol'd
- HarChim, on 09/06/2008, -7/+15Palin isn't going to win any more votes by going to interviews. Anyone that is stupid enough to vote for her (http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/show ... has already made up their minds. Going to interviews will probably make her lose votes.
- BossKey, on 09/06/2008, -0/+8Certainly, seeing Sarah Palin appear on Larry King would get everyone's attention. But you can't show stuff that racy on network television, the network would just censor it. Besides, there's the age difference...ugh.
- csimpkins, on 09/06/2008, -1/+9@QuadZeroRoute
Not that it REALLY matters, since you're trying to equate apples and oranges... the entire argument is absurd. But since you brought it up, put those numbers back in your ass where they came from.
First of all, the population of Wasilla was closer to 5,000 at the time she was mayor. Second, in her first run for mayor, she was elected with just 617 votes. In her second, it was 909. Biden collected 63,157 votes, even though he dropped out after Iowa. - enclaved, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7OH YOU MEAN LIKE
IS SHE MUSLIM?
your world perception must be so twisted - resta6, on 01/12/2009, -4/+11not when the election is 2 months away...she is supposed to be on as many shows as possible so that the American people can learn about her
- slundal, on 09/06/2008, -2/+9***** you
- cedarbaydave, on 09/06/2008, -5/+12There isn't time.
They need to try and cram 20 ponds of BS into an 8 pound head before the debate. - pintomp3, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7or leaders of other countries.
- jp12380, on 09/06/2008, -2/+9You're right McCain would make a great president, I mean just think of all the great things he promises, for example promising to have his VP pick on. Good to see McCain is a man we can trust to be president.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -3/+10since when do rules matter to the ***** GOP? They ***** on rules, even their own.
- sugarazor, on 09/06/2008, -3/+9If he or Palin can't stand up to Larry King, how can they stand up to Putin?
The Right used this exact same line when Hillary went after the media, but she was just a whiner right? - chickenloco, on 09/06/2008, -6/+12+1
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -9/+15What it shows is that he is a petulant *****. You may be OK with that in a President, but we've had one guy who is the epitome of conceit and petulance for the last 8 years - and he is a ***** disaster.
Character flaws matter. - haydesigner, on 09/06/2008, -1/+7@ 5urr3al5am: "Maybe Nazi Queen"
Really? That is what you are reduced to now? - Fizzle, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6That thread disheartens me as an American. Clinton supporters jumping to McCain just because he picked a woman who's an anti-feminist and VERY republican.
This shows the main fallacy in democracy, people don't take the time to learn about the people they're electing. They just go on their first impression of the person. If anything else shiny gets in the way of them and the voting booth, they COULD change their mind.. - chenalex, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6Of course - Dan Quayle, who didn't have the balls to go after his opponent like Sarah Palin did. Incidentally, another GOP pick.
Nicole Wallace's assertion is very suspicious though. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -3/+8Oh god, someone really wants to bury that quote, don't they? Just goes to show, Right Wing Shills hate the truth.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -13/+18Sarah Palin is a lying whore.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -4/+9Oprah is afraid of her.
- pintomp3, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5that's why i am voting for mccain, because he opposes FISA.... oh wait.
