- airwalkery2k, on 10/12/2007, -11/+160In other news--on Sunday, hundreds of people end up on the Terrorist Watch List and are unable to fly.

The point is, Bush's legacy will not simply go away "in a year or so". The way he's shaped the country will stay that way even when he leaves office, unless something is actually done about it.
The most successful way we could move on from his dubious governing (I'm not specifically taking sides), would be to send a strong signal that shows that specific actions he's taken results in impeachment, so that not only would immediate future Presidents be strongly inclined to overturn his "patriotic" rights-infringement Acts, but distant future Presidents would be likewise inclined never to attempt them themselves. - meshman, on 10/12/2007, -16/+117Oh, it'll say something. Fox will undoubtedly report on the 'smattering of traitors' and Daily Kos will report on the 'throngs of thousands'.
- an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -8/+75The media will go and shoot video of Drum Circle Hippies and scary looking masked Anarchists.
This will successfully discredit in the viewers mind all the non-fringe people present.
For God's sake if you are going to protest and wish to be taken seriously, wear a goddamned suit. At the least a button up shirt and tie. - littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -9/+68I'm sure the MSM will say nothing.
- I-Train, on 10/12/2007, -5/+59When Clinton lied, nobody died (saw that on a bumper sticker).
- Powder, on 10/12/2007, -20/+67@masonreloaded
because i would rather not wait around another year or so to see how much more he can ***** us up, not to mention how many more soldiers will die for a lost war. - d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -15/+49When did 42% - 52% of the American population become "the far left"? Most people I know that support impeachment are conservatives. The Democrats I've talked to shy away from it because they believe any attempt at impeachment would hurt the Democrats' chances in '08.
- kcmedic, on 10/12/2007, -7/+41Clinton should have done what Bush does and just refuse to testify before a grand jury and he could have avoided the whole thing. Right?
- macewan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+38@d00ley, This is true. I live in a rural section of North Carolina near the Navy's proposed OLF. Die-hard pickup truck driving good ole boys are saying that Bush has turned out to be a horrible mistake. These are the hard core fish'n, truck'n, hunt'n true blue Christians of the area.
- peritonlogon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+38@borninda818
It's sad that that type of comment has become the attitude that Americans have been forced to take.
Real, reasonable reform of a broken system has been proposed by the people, has been asked for by the people, and all we ever get is "that's not possible" and "be patient."
The War that the people didn't want has been going on for 4 years now.
The health care crisis that people want fixed has been going on for nearly 2 decades
The influence that corporate dollars (of which the people do not approve) have over elections and lobbying has been going on for over 2 decades and has been growing.
The role of Pork in Congress (of which the people do not approve) has only grown over the past 2-3 decades.
The list goes on and on and on of critical reforms and changes that the USA needs that are simply dismissed as "partisan" or "politicizing" or ignored. We're constantly told to wait, Well, waiting doesn't work. It doesn't work at a store, it doesn't work in a Town Meeting. People don't go to college, find a job or take care of themselves by waiting, they stand up and get the job done, this is no different, turn off your TV and make a stand. - d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -8/+39"You must know some weird conservatives."
Can you name anything about the President or the Administration that is conservative? - macfanboi, on 10/12/2007, -7/+37Will the people that join be put on the 'No Fly' List?
- Wargalas, on 10/12/2007, -20/+47Ok, I'm not going to explain this again. So PLEASE pay attention. Clinton was impeached because he lied to a grand jury, not because of a blowjob. Common misconception by people who don't pay attention to the headlines and revisionist historians.
- kifler, on 10/12/2007, -7/+34I AM THE DECIDER AND I DECIDE THERE WILL BE NO RALLIES!
Gosh, my oval office rug looks nice. - morbo47, on 10/12/2007, -10/+36Yeah, I mean, what could happen in a year and a half...
/sarcasm - Nodaki, on 10/12/2007, -17/+41While I hate Bush more than words can describe, I'm entirely too lazy on my day off to go hang out with a bunch smelly hippies and liberal psychopaths.
I'll just do what I usually do to protest Bush in my own home; scream at him on the television then get so mad I whip out my dick and press it against his image's mouth on my 51inch TV yelling "Ugh, yeah, take it bitch, take it in your filthy ***** mouth", much to the dismay of my wife. - michaelbeckham, on 10/12/2007, -21/+44Yeah let's not impeach a president who got thousands of American's and 100's of thousands of Iraqi's dead, but impeach a president who got a blow job. American Democracy at its best!
- SammyJr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24@viperdaimao
Just an anecdote, but my evangelical, gun-loving uncle supported Bush. Now he supports impeachment. And this was the guy telling me that I was going to hell for voting for Kerry....
Times change and even the most dedicated Republicans are starting to see the Bush Regime for its true colors. - FreddieD, on 10/12/2007, -10/+29To every one of you that voted for this SOB in 2004 and made me endure four more years of this guy,
,,!,,
Yeah Kerry had the charisma of a rice cake, but do you REALLY think we'd be dealing with all of this now?? - KANSUO, on 10/12/2007, -6/+24Sorry to hijack, but it looks like this is being organized by http://www.a28.org/
I didn't see it in the story anywhere, and this was one of the first things to come up when I Googled '"Jacob Park" impeach' - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20"Take a look at the Constitution my friend. Cheney would be next in line. It's like none of you ever paid attention in American History or something??"
Try reading the post next time. They want to impeach both Cheney and Bush. - gdm9000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17We did vote, damn it!! I voted against Bush in both elections, as did most people I know.
"Vote next time blah blah blah..." is a straw man argument. What good are our votes when the last two elections were stolen? - michaelbeckham, on 10/12/2007, -11/+25That's fairly obvious, still if it was not sex related he would not of been impeached.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17i think you meant "posterity"
- I-Train, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." - Mitch Hedburg
- d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18"different in the eyes of the law"
Actually, the law is irrelevant regarding High Crimes. "High" refers to obligations that are unique to those in power. As stated by our forefathers, a High Crime is that which offends the sense of justice of the people. Therefore, if the People say it is a High Crime, it is a High Crime. - ichirorabbit, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17Wow these comments really show how sad the state of this country is.
Are we living free, or living in fear? - underthelinux, on 10/12/2007, -9/+19ill digg for prosperity.

- Waiting2awake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9 You mean he either allowed or was too incompetent to stop 911 and then started 2 wars based on known lies - and you see that as something that should be considered to his benefit?
Time to wake up skippy. This Admin did all of those things - intentionally. - Waiting2awake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9LMAO!! Please, here you are frightened of people across a fricken ocean and you have the audacity to call the other side cowards??
- Wargalas, on 10/12/2007, -10/+18Yeah, but it's dirty, smelly, hippie chicks....ok give me a bar of soap and I'm there.
- Zzzzz, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13Find, but can you explain WHY it was ok for them to ask a question that had NOTHING to do with what he was on trial for?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+17"That's because you have lost perspective on who is and is not your enemy, on who does and does not share your interests. On the other hand, Jihad has only grown as a result of Bush's policies, so, in regards to the Iraq War, the "pro-Jihad" stance is to remain there."
Simply because your local news station or constant google-stream of news updates you on the Middle East in this day and age doesn't mean it hasn't always been going on, my friend.
You never had the perspective too make such a statement. I'm FROM Kuwait, and I can tell you for a fact that radical, suicide-bombing, Jyhadists have been around for well over 30 years. Simply because you see it on your local MSNBC doesn't mean Bush caused it. That's probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard - try not to be such a sheep and jump on the band-wagon of everything being America's fault. - tadisrad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7http://www.a28.org/

I love it when people get all uppity and snippy about something, and are 100% wrong about it.
The House impeaches the president, the Senate votes on whether or not to remove him from office. This is why Clinton is considered to have been impeached, even though he wasn't removed from office.
Perhaps YOU should be the one that reads the Constitution before running your mouth. - Waiting2awake, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11 Begin again. Rebuild. Pay off the debts, prop up the economy. Tear down the walls. Become America again?
- Kryptnet, on 10/12/2007, -18/+23Can't we all just get along and hate Bush?
- noisey, on 10/12/2007, -9/+14They never mentioned what organization is putting on this event. I'm not doing anything Saturday, I hate Bush, and it sounds like a great way to meet chicks.
- lopla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The tragedy of all this is Bush has set a new precedent that no sitting president can be impeached regardless of their crimes. Once you are in, that's it.. you are king and can do ANYTHING you wish without oversight. Bush has broken 100's of laws at will and gets away with it. Some rallies will not change this, Bush will continue to do as he pleases. People voted in the Dems to get rid of the punk and they have failed us. ***** Bush and ***** the dems for being a bunch of spineless pussies.
- Pssdoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Exactly how many times do you have to stab your brain with a screwdriver in order to believe Jeb Bush or Rudy Giuliani should be America's President?
Ron Paul in 2008! - Grumby24, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6@wargalas
Clinton lied about getting a BJ because IT'S NO ONE'S ***** BUSINESS BUT HIS OWN!!! That was the worst thing the Republicans could dig up on him with the Kenneth Starr fishing expedition (which by the way cost over $30 million of our tax dollars). So yes it was about a BJ because that was the only thing they could prove. - gazwilwah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5". Until people can come up with CONSTITUTIONAL reasons for impeaching the President"
Hang on, Isn't telling lie after lie after lie enough to get rid of this jerk?
And not just Bush, All his henchmen have lied and lied to.
The war In Iraq Is about OIL!!!
The president has history In It, so does His father, so does the vice bloody president and others..... lies lies lies to get $$$$$$$. - michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I love how exercising your right to gather and protest your government earns you a derogatory term like 'dirty hippy".
I think American Idol is back on, you'd better go see if Sanjajay, or whatever the ***** his name is, won. -
