- asskicker32, on 07/17/2008, -1/+14best news Ive heard all day!!! Go Kucinich!!!
- inactive, on 07/17/2008, -1/+12Wow, is this really going to happen? Sweet! I hope it goes well, but I'd almost rather like to see the next president arrest Bush as an enemy combatant and torture him in prison. That way, there can be no Cheney there to pardon him.
- Todash19, on 07/17/2008, -1/+11Moonbat -
A neocon buzzname if I ever heard one. - inactive, on 07/17/2008, -0/+9Tell EVERYONE you know!!!
- quesi, on 07/17/2008, -1/+9Um, liberally interpreting the Constitution. Liberally spending money and growing the government. Hey! GWB isn't a Conservative, after all!?!?! and all this time, he's got people convinced he was... Wow, he even ran on a platform of smaller government, fiscal responsibility and a modest foreign policy. What's more - he took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. FAILURE or deliberate?
Neoconservative IS NOT Conservative but very liberal. Conservatives don't create money or war out of thin air. A conservative interpretation of the Constitution, conservative spending and small government is how to find a true conservative.
The labels are lies. - motivatedmama, on 07/17/2008, -1/+9Just what is the "liberal agenda"?
- inactive, on 07/17/2008, -2/+9OK, first of all, IMatt, that was not only stupid, but none of that has anything to do with impeaching Bush. Bush allows illegal aliens in, and he's a globalist. After 9/11, Bush told us what to think (support our troops, you're with us or against us), Bush told us what to buy ("go down and visit Disneyworld in Florida", don't let the terrorists win, mortgage rates are at an all time low).
Liberals however do believe in human rights, and guess what: terrorists are human. You can't be sure they are a terrorist if you don't go through due process. You can't expect an accurate answer when you're torturing someone. In this great nation, you're innocent until proven guilty, even if you are an Arab. Just like even if its obvious that a man killed his whole family, he still gets a trial. Its just the way it is, and if you call that liberal agenda, then give me a heaping scoop of it.
Further, considering even conservatives hate the neocons, perhaps the conservatives should take a lesson from Kucinich and stop being a bunch of pussies. If Bush is such an affront to true conservatives, why aren't the real conservatives impeaching him? Where's Ron Paul now? Why does a liberal have to do it? - inactive, on 07/17/2008, -1/+8"need to pay attention to the next election"..... Ha Ha Ha. Just watch the pr3sented dog and pony show everyone ... move along now nothing else to see here (except WWF which is equally unstaged). Uh oh. Did someone just say "moonbat?" You are an ignant(sp?) ***** or a shill. I wish it was just a nightmare that would be over after waking up. *****!
- troydiggs, on 07/17/2008, -0/+7this is awesome
- inactive, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6I would like to see him impeached but since Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, Truman, and Johnson didn't get impeached for their war crimes, I doubt Bush will.
- relic180, on 07/17/2008, -0/+5@IMatt
Do you know how enemy combatants are defined by this administration? They've defined it as 'anybody we decide is an enemy combatant'. That's IT. There is no qualifying factors, there are no criteria to fill, it's 'anybody we decide'. The qualifiers for the Geneva Convention are used (see, manipulated into) to justify it, but are not the qualifying factors for who is or is not an 'enemy combatant'.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/4/10/95033/ ...
Further, this allows the government to define 'whoever we decide' as a full fledged terrorist. This includes you, or me for that matter. The government can simply decide that either of us are terrorists, at their own leisure. And because we're not currently wearing a U.S. military uniform at this particular moment (I only assume you aren't) gives them "grounds" to make it public. This is the behavior that you're defending.
And yet, it appears to also be what you're condemning as liberal government tactics, seperate from what bush & co. have been doing. Very strange. - inactive, on 07/18/2008, -0/+5Section 3 US Constitution
Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.
Shall be liable.....fantastic. - Lawofnations, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6Dubya's criminally psychotic father - George H. W. Bush, was being impeached for war crimes. The resolution had passed the House. However since the proceedings began in November and Bush had lost the election they let him serve out his term until January. What people don't realize about the impeachment process is it is a very serious issue and all other business is tabled until the proceedings are over. It isn't taken lightly. Clinton was being impeached for perjury and selling weapons technology to the Chinese government. The public was fed the Lewinsky scandal by the media because they lack cognizance.
- asheine, on 07/17/2008, -2/+7Hey bro, it's not a liberal/conservative thing - it's about setting an example that you can't f*ck with America without getting your ass beat even if you're the President.
Whatever you don't like about liberalism - the big brother aspect, anyways - is embodied in the Bush Administration. He literally committed crimes in office, lying to us to trick us into going to a war-industry money fight in Iraq and using misleading propaganda on national new networks. There is valid documentation of all of this.
If we let this administration get away with their hijacking of America, we are asking for it to happen again.
It's sad that the mainstream media laughs off impeachment progress as a silly leftist radical idea, but it is only as silly and leftist and radical as the Boston Tea Party or the American Revolution in general. Bush ***** up our country on purpose to hook up his buddies! We as Americans have to punish this behavior- - relic180, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6@IMatt
I actually don't believe bush is stupid. I believe he's an expert panderer, who's simply trying to relate to the voters in this country, whom he believes are incredibly stupid, in order to hold on to the presidential office. He's also a HORRIBLE public speaker, and it doesn't help any that he's constantly attempting to spin or sugar coat all the opportunistic and greed driven methods of his administration.
War is wrong, and the Democratically controlled congress isn't doing much about it because war is also very profitable for those in the right places. The Dems and Repubs are both part of a single party (something you're apparently unaware of) that has a single goal of maximizing profits for the corporations that have purchased them. It's all about lots of money for very few hands at the expense of the taxpayers. Has nothing to do with the "red vs blue" mentality that you're obviously stuck in.
And if you knew ***** ANYTHING about Kucinich, you'd see why he's not a "fool from Ohio", as you so elegantly put it. - relic180, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4Who in holy hell concocted the term "moon-*****-bat" anyhow, and how in the ***** is that suppose to be a derogatory term (which is obviously the intention)?
That's like me saying to you "Shut the ***** up you ignorant bananaphone, the upcoming election is another opportunity for the corporate party to make the general masses feel as if they're being dictated to by a democracy, which is obviously a political gimmick."
Or maybe if I said "Impeaching bush is an act of symbolism which is imperative to begin the long and difficult road to repairing our broken political system, something a dolphincard like yourself wouldn't understand." - crxvfr, on 07/17/2008, -1/+5Pelosi made it so they will not investigate criminal behavior, but abuses of power? Whats the difference? ITS NO LONGER AN IMPEACHMENT! They can rule that bush abused his power all day long but abuses are not criminal, not impeachable offenses. Republican or democrat, they are all the same because they are all working for the new world order, which bush has helped to usher in with 911.
- chrism1128, on 07/17/2008, -1/+4Let's see how those Punk Asses let us down again. How many times has an "Impeachment" article been on Digg? Has it ever happened yet?
NO! They're all little bitches and will do nothing to save this country that they working so hard to kill. - relic180, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3It's not definite yet. But at least steps are being taken and some progress is being made.
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -0/+2As a Ron Paul Republican I dont like many of Kucinich's socialist policies and gun control and I still have hope hell come around. But hes an awsome Congressman and a real stand up politician who cant be bought. we need more like Ron Paul and Kucinich in Washington.
even liberals are welcome to join Ron Paul's new www.campaignforliberty.com to fight war mongering and over taxation and facism in DC. - Hangly, on 07/18/2008, -0/+2Nice try.
You suck at propaganda. - quesi, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2"how did he *trick* everyone into going to war?"
he was hardly alone in the endeavor... and it's called Problem > Reaction > Solution. Same way we're always tricked into war. You knew that the Gulf of Tonkin Incident was BS right?
I see you are very much into division. Pushing the party line. Dividing on dumb *****. Fighting the little battles about issues, when these issues won't matter without our Republic. It's not Republican vs Democrat issue. They have the same end goal in mind... That's what a "democracy" will get you. If you would kindly remember we are not a democracy, you'll remember we don't have but two choices to the same end goal. Stop dividing and unite, unless you're one of the traitorous folks pretending to be a Conservative too? - iMattK, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1LOL. I've slammed the Republican Party many times over the past several years. Sorry, I'm not going to be drawn into that conversation.
I will maintain my point: if Bush did impeachable offenses, go ahead and follow through with attempting to kick him out of office. Don't think for a moment that this won't come back to bite the Democrats in a big way come November. - wanderlander, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1That's not all they lack and far more than just "they" are lacking it! Unfortunately, impeachment is SUPPOSED to be a very serious issue and not taken lightly, but it's turned into a joke. If it were the first step towards setting things back a little (as far as our government rubber-stamping his illegal activities) then I'd be all for it, and get on with charging him - he shouldn't be above the law. But as it stands, it's just a waste of time, a way for the opposition party to whack his pee-pee and hopefully sully the party name before the big race.
- jodimcmullen, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1The only Bush I trust is my own!!!
- Hangly, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1Are there still black panthers?
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1"bananaphone" *grin* Only a 'moonbat' would come up with such a derogatory term!!!!
best wishes,
a dolphincard. *grinnin' some more* - Lawofnations, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1"Hang bush from a tree?" Who would notice a bush in a tree?
- IMJGaltstill, on 07/18/2008, -1/+1It is absolutely lovely to see your eloquence dugg up.
- IMJGaltstill, on 07/18/2008, -1/+1If the birkenstock fits.
- jgull, on 07/20/2008, -0/+0They better lock Bush and Cheney up.
- troydiggs, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0what do you mean?
- inactive, on 07/17/2008, -4/+3The black panthers should hang bush from a tree.
- enronias, on 07/17/2008, -3/+1Yes let's all go watch the completely whipped Congress cave into Dubbya yet again and laugh at elf boy as they push the crimes under the rug and get handed more lobbyest money to buy a new yacht or a night with a prostitute (before her madam gets assassinated of course) OUR GOVERNMENT NEEDS CHANGE, IT WONT CHANGE ITSELF
- iMattK, on 07/17/2008, -5/+1Asheine, your ilk believes Bush is stupid. If so, how did he *trick* everyone into going to war? Also, if the war is wrong, why is the Democratically controlled Congress still paying for it?
Somebody has to step up and take action -- Americans are pleading for their politicians to do something about oil prices, yet a fool from Ohio brings up an impeachment resolution!
Typical, Democratic Party tripe -- blah, blah, blah. Point fingers and hand out money to everyone. - iMattK, on 07/17/2008, -8/+2"In this great nation, you're innocent until proven guilty, even if you are an Arab" -- that only applies to American citizens not enemy combatants who don't even fight under a flag, hence the Geneva Convention does not apply to them no matter what certain liberal Supreme Court justices may think.
Try again. - iMattK, on 07/17/2008, -10/+3Liberal agenda = government controlling people by telling them what to think, what to buy, how to live, etc. Also, giving equal rights to terrorists, allowing illegal aliens in, globalism, the list goes on.
- iMattK, on 07/17/2008, -18/+2Go ahead, waste your time. And, expose the liberal agenda for what it really is just as the next presidential election is held. Smart move, Dennis! LOL.
- IMJGaltstill, on 07/17/2008, -24/+4You moonbats need to pay attention to the next election and stop dreaming.
