- dbxuau, on 10/11/2007, -2/+53This lawyer + Ron Paul = unstoppable... There will be a day ladies and gentlemen, where we will have no income tax. Its coming..
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36VOTE RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT! Too many people now know that the Federal Reserve and the IRS are Unconstitutional! It is time to take America back - if we don't America will be a Police State via Hillary and/or Fred Thompson, Obama.
- sinless1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27I have better idea. Let's eliminate the income tax and replace it with....NOTHING.
Here's a quote from Ron Paul: "Even today, individual income taxes account for only approximately one-third of federal revenue. Eliminating one-third of the proposed 2007 budget would still leave federal spending at roughly $1.8 trillion-- a sum greater than the budget just 6 years ago in 2000! Does anyone seriously believe we could not find ways to cut spending back to 2000 levels?" - Dr Paul's Texas Straight Talk, April 2006
Screw the fair tax. It's also unconstitutional, and completely unnecessary (other than to perpetuate the welfare/warfare state.) - Mauna, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25The real problem that exists which would stop any change in the IRS is Congress. The Senators and Representatives are used to living such a fancy life at the expense of taxpayers, they will not vote to change. I thought our country was started because of taxation without representation by Britain, and now, we have no representation, too much taxation, they do as they please and pass laws that are self-serving. We need to change almost everyone in Congress.
- chrispbrew, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16The walmart example should be an eye opener. Our "representatives" make sure the extremely wealthy get away with obscene tax obviscation. I am increasingly of the belief that our system is based on a docile non-intellectual populous that will eat anything shoved in it's mouth. The 2 parties each had strong internal debate. Now anyone who disagrees with the party line is pushed out. How long before both parties coelesce into one "people's" party that pushes out anyone who disagrees? Holding sham elections to keep us docile.
Sound crazy but maybe not so crazy. - smokeybehr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15I'd rather there be a consumption tax instead of income withholding. There's literally billions of dollars floating around in the underground economy that, if taxed, would more than make up for the losses when withholding was discontinued. Think of the complete elimination of the IRS and its associated bureaucracy.
- rrwiz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Can we sue the IRS for refunds since it was all a fraud? (plus interest and penalties - hehe)
- Marty1h, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11See the DVD "America: From Freedom to Facsism" by Aaron Russo available on Amazon and well worth owning for your library. Go Ron Paul!!!
- SwordofKahless, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Lets not forget the other major media candidates like - Edwards, Guliani, McCain. They all make me want to vomit.
- kirbette, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10This attorney stepped forward and won against the IRS. I watched "Freedom to Fascism" and it uncovered the same thing. There is no law that compels one to pay taxes. Let us all pick up the torch and take it to the next level. Visit the websites in the article to see what we can each do!
- nontaxpayer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Tinfoil hats are now fashionable and I am getting one immediately.
Die Karl Marx...die!
What attorney is going to continue to pay income tax with this most awesome precedent? - tinfoiler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Income=corporate profit!
Tommy Crier and attny Becraft & Co. have (successfully) argued this landmark case by demonstrating to a jury of peers that, according to Mr. Crier's own knowledge, from memory and a notebook!, ...(Crier was not allowed to present any written law or IRS code to the jury) ....that...as he understands it....according to the supreme court (many different cases) ....that INCOME....as defined by the supreme court (many years ago in several cases) is actually CORPORATE PROFIT!!!!
The department of justice was unable to produce any "supreme court" decisions or an IRS code that have redefined the term income!
.....and thusly the jury could only conclude that Mr. Crier DID NOT willfully fail to file an income tax return!
all you gotta do is nothing....dont let your boss withhold from your paycheck and dont file a return.
Dont feed the hand that bites you....and do it for the people of this great country and help save it.....first it is tax revolt time (lets give that a chance before (violent revolution) ...do it for your constitution... - LloydDobbler, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9True...but a national sales tax would be infinitely more just (and transparent) than the system we have today, where tax breaks are bought by special interest lobbyists and paid for by us. The income tax was never intended to be a method of social engineering, or a way to buy votes...it just became that way, because such is the inevitable consequence of an income tax. See the famous quotes about democracy's shelf-life being only as long as it takes to realize that people can vote themselves money from the treasury.
By getting rid of this (now-determined) unconstitutional income tax and replacing it with a simpler system, the opportunities for corruption will decrease, the amount of time and effort required of citizens will decrease, and (most importantly) we'll be able to visibly understand the tax code when a Senator tries to monkey with it due to a fat contribution from the latest special interest (be it Big Oil or MoveOn.org). Not to mention the fact that prices will theoretically remain the same...and that we'll know how much we're paying in taxes every time we go to the grocery store.
Withholding is the biggest snake oil measure ever perpetrated by the U.S. government...and I'll be happy to think that one day, it might go away in favor of a more efficient, transparent way of collecting taxes. Heck, I own a business...but the act of collecting a national sales tax on every item sold would take me 10 times less time to figure out each year than doing my own taxes AND paying for someone to navigate the complex income/state income/FICA/business tax codes so I'm in compliance (not to mention personal taxes, too). - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9139 Diggs and not popular, anyone still not believe in Digg censorship?
- eatsushi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Sweet, I'm printing this article out and giving copies to all my employers!
The more you know! *cue NBC music* - Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Wait till people find out about the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Then they'll know what true anger is.
- cryptomystic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Let the Revolution begin
- drewdeal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I agree and am a signer on http://givemeliberty.org and you should too
- Rwayden, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7This is exciting news, but we are a very long way away from elimination of the federal income tax. Stopping the income tax will destroy the federal government as it exists today. They will not give up their power without a fight. It is a fight for the livelihoods and careers of many powerful politicians and government bureaucrats. Tax attorneys and accountants also have a lot to lose. Powerful disinformation campaigns will oppose anything that disrupts the status quo. A change this monumental will take time, blood, or both.
- jjohnny99, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The last time I checked there were 9,900 plus sections in the Internal Revenue Cods. If the income tax liability statute for ordinary Americans existed, it would be in section 1 of the Internal Revenue Code for all to read and understand. However, section 1 does not make anyone liable for income tax. Are Factual Felons running our government?
- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7This is very good news, but let us not throw caution to the wind and forget the perils we face as a nation on so many domestic fronts.
- Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I urge everyone to google the comprehensive annual financial report. or simply watch the google movie, but that's over 3 hours long, for real concerned nerds like myself.
- wsnell, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I am still not sure why they are debating the fine points of taxing labor if the 16th amendment was never properly ratified. Someone enlighten me!
- zonetripper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6This is all fine and good - provided we remain a sovereign nation under the authority of the Constitution long enough for the re-discovery of our foundational laws and truths to make a difference. All this work may be coming just a bit too late, as the proverbial noose seems to be resting quite comfortably about our shoulders at this point - for a variety of reasons, of which I am sure many of you are aware.
- jpetrides, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5My friend put it best when we were talking about how corrupt politics is nowadays and why young people understand that explaining why they don't vote. "Young people just want low taxes and to be left alone." The government does neither. Remember, it was FDR that really started taking advantage of the income tax and saw it as a way to exert political influence. He set the precedent.
- Avian1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Diggisrigged91, that is deceptive. They do pay business taxes, payroll taxes, worker's comp, etc., so they pay taxes, just not income taxes in all cases. Probably the ones that do pay, are individuals who have incorporated a small business. But I'm all for this guy. I've always felt that income taxes were illegal, but finally this guy is poking holes in the dam, and we may see real change over time. But politicians are pretty cagey and they'll just go to something like a VAT tax, like Europe does, or a national sales tax. But that at least would be levied on everyone, and those who buy a lot, pay a lot.
- rrwiz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Every tax dollar going straight to Rothschild pockets, the swindlers of the World.
If they paid off each and every congressman, say $2 million per year on average including all the prostitutes, offshore accounts etc, that is still only $1 billion per year in payoffs......while pocketing over $400 billion each year (and growing) - Erich100, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5Here's the lawyers web site Truth Attack.
http://www.truthattack.org/ - qevlhma93, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5sweet.
- jodimcmullen, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5I hope this guys for real. I signed on.
- CoolHandLuke70, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5Why has this not gone popular?
- MissAmerica, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I'm glad I have awaken to the real truth about the actual world that we all live in. Everything that happens does so for a reason, and everything is connected to each other one way or another. The evil elite since ancient times have always sought to control the people, in whatever way imaginable, possible, and so on. Politics is simply theater at its best. We are all being fooled & manipulated on the issues that we care about. The Establishment created the age-old dichotomy of "left", "right","liberal" vs. "conservative" and so on. The Establishment wants abortion, illegal immigration, and to sum it all up: a divided and conquered people. JFK, RFK,MLK,Jr,Princess Diana, JFK Jr,and so on were killed by the globalists that seek to enslave under world tyranny.
We got to fight the income tax, and it's important that we do so.
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."
—Arthur Schopenhauer (German philosopher, 1788-1860) - tf8252, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I hope this lawyer shares his information on how to fight these cases.
Would like to see him run with Ron Paul as VP if he's got the resume. - hewlett2002000, on 02/14/2008, -0/+5you know we should basically get on to new business. congratulations is in order to tommy crier for handing the IRS there ass. but theres a very courageous ex irs agent taking on the fed's at this very moment. her name is sherry peel jackson. there is a good chance that she will have to give up part of her life for telling the truth. we should all make it our mission to set her free. check her homepage. http://www.sherrypeeljackson.com/
- ascolti, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Well, as the IRS is a private company, YES. After all, when they changed the laws on gold transfers they retro-actively employed the law and then send bills to people who hadn't paid the law at the time it didn't exist! But it works BOTH ways. After all, if you found out you'd been stolen from.. you'd be entitled to compensation. Now THAT IS A GOOD IDEA. The fact the US build Washington (twice, sorry about that) without an Income Tax beggars belief. Income tax really is a con!
- nontaxpayer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Ratified or not the 16th provided no new taxing powers and makes no one liable to pay any tax.
- ohmeohmy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The fiat US dollar! (what a joke)
I can hardly wait for the USD to collapse in this country. (USA)
Which by the way will finally put an end to the war in Iraq, the Federal Reserve, and the Bush Crime Cartel.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
The stench from Washington DC (District of Criminals) is starting to reach us here in the state of Wisconsin (USA) - anyusmoon1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Where can we get more information on this subject? I'd love to read your take on it, can you give a synopsis here?
Thanks - cryptomystic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The Federal Reserve is not part of the federal Government, it's a private organization owned by International Bankers. Look it up, I'm not kidding.
- sbowers2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Passing it around!
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+4Even today we have some presidential candidates who apparently have not heard the news or have chosen not to listen.
The lawyer in this case has filed a lawsuit against the IRS agents personally and that is how we change their attitude. When they are living at the YMCA and riding the bus to work they will not be so heavy handed and arrogant! - Reyshell, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Vote them out and put someone in there that will stand for us. We just need to gather together and let them know that we are tired of the scam!
- maashaus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4"Rage Against The Machine" is more than just a name, it's something we all need to be a part of. "Together we stand, divided ........." (nuf said)
- Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Just wait till they unveil the global carbon tax.
- thoughtcrime, on 08/06/2008, -0/+3It's not just the lavish lifestyle of Congress-critters, it's the POWER they're in love with. After all, the American aristocracy "knows what's best" for us. Right? ;-P
- howdyd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2A "consumption tax"? Wouldn't that be no more than a federal sales tax on anything we purchase? If it were that and nothing else I'd be for it, so long as an investment is never considered a purchase.
- inactive, on 11/07/2008, -0/+2Now that 0bama is president-elect we need to make sure his wealth redistribution plan is never enacted. All of the People need to demand that this precedent be addressed before we send a dime to the federal reserve for the IRS.
If we are liable, why isn't Tom Cryer?
This precedent settled the matter and it is now time for us to assert our right to keep what we earn. - Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2lol. that system is already here.
- Reyshell, on 04/11/2008, -0/+2The bum on the street is making %100 income off of other people. But I dont see the IRS throwing them in jail. So this Income Tax law is basically extortion on the working class because they know we are scared of breaking the law and we want to be good citizens. Its funny how they throw that in our faces. Oh yeh, the bum that makes his %100 income then spends a night in some place that OUR taxes pay for. So in essence, he has the better deal!! WTF?
- thoughtcrime, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1Great quote!
