Huckabee Said Campaigning Is "Like Being Waterboarded"

thinkprogress.org — This morning, CNN ran a story “tracking the strain furious campaigning puts on the human body” for the presidential candidates. During the segment, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee joked that his campaign schedule is not providing enough time to sleep and that, for him, is “like being waterboarded.”

  • inactive, on 02/17/2008, -0/+2Wow, it must suck to be in the running for president, way worse than being forgotten in a Syrian prison after being picked up at JFK for a charge the police decided not to share with you. Torture > being rich and famous, apparently.

    He should try working one, or two physically demanding jobs for six, or seven days and nights per week, for low wages (below the poverty line), year after year as a single parent. It can make a person feel disoriented, sore, exhausted and grouchy, even feel and appear stupid after the brain stops functioning effectively, but even that could not compare to being "waterboarded."
