- V3n0M, on 12/18/2007, -8/+114I already had an Excel sheet with 32 reasons (facts) this man is not qualified to be President. This article alone is worth 3-5 more. Thank you for sharing this.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -8/+107GEEZ that sounds like the taliban!
- lukas88, on 12/18/2007, -11/+74I'd say there is a pretty good chance that he is gay himself. Homophobia has a significant correlation with homosexuality.
- rhabd0mancer, on 12/18/2007, -3/+61"Kids Who Kill"
Is he talking about his son? - Spectre74, on 12/18/2007, -5/+61Huckabee has a closet which contains a portable hole. Coincidentally he collects skeletons.
- borninda818, on 12/18/2007, -8/+46This guy is probable the most dangerous person to ever have a chance for the office. God save us if he is elected.
- trollick, on 12/18/2007, -10/+45There is nothing wrong with necrophilia. Stop comparing it to homosexuality.
- zachshmack, on 12/18/2007, -5/+36Huckabee is a uniter*, not a divider!
*Unless you're non-Christian, homosexual, have AIDs, or have any common sense. - Worlocked, on 12/18/2007, -2/+33You're a ***** retard.

- bolognium, on 12/18/2007, -1/+29is it that same coin republicans use to get into public pay-toilets?

Hillbilly that is. Set a spell. Take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, y'hear? - Berkana, on 12/18/2007, -3/+26Let's see him say that to all the closeted Republicans, and the scandalous pastors who preach one thing and do the opposite!
I don't want Huckabee to be president. I'm saying this as a Christian. The point of Christian morality is not to try to force everyone else to live according to Christian morality; biblically speaking, truly moral living can only be voluntary, and is done in response to God's mercy. *Involuntary* moral living doesn't imply a thing about a person's goodness, and cannot be maintained in any widespread without tyrannical and pervasive threats against all immoral behavior. At most, the Government should keep us from hurting each other; the government can never successfully keep us from doing anything to ourselves without tyranny.
Huckabee will be more polarizing to our nation than George Bush was. If all he can run on his his overt Christianity, and if we all overlook the fact that when it comes to foreign policy, he's naïve, and when it comes to monetary policy, he's clueless (both of which means he's a blank slate, free to be swayed by special interests), we will only have more of the same crap that George Bush gave us. Are we not ready for change? God forbid Huckabee become president! - implied, on 12/18/2007, -8/+31What a ***** *****.
- smacksaw, on 12/18/2007, -3/+24Giuliani is worse. He can get ***** done. Hickabee is a joke.
- ColumbusRep, on 12/18/2007, -6/+24Christofascism is on the rise. Who would Jesus Bomb?
- Worlocked, on 12/18/2007, -1/+18Yes, clearly two consenting adults doing as they please with their bodies is equal to an adult violating a pre-pubescent child.
***** Retard #2, go play in traffic. - Elranzer, on 12/18/2007, -0/+16Put it up on a public Google Docs page and post it to Digg.
- osirisothedead, on 12/18/2007, -2/+18Methinks thou dost protest too much.
- incendiarylvr, on 12/18/2007, -2/+18Please don't reproduce.
- V3n0M, on 12/19/2007, -2/+17Due to popular demand, I will display my list here. These are not legal accusations, they are merely my opinion and my understanding of the research that I have done. I am positive each of the items I list have counter-points and rebuttals which I will not attempt to refute here. Many of the items listed are more theological in nature than political, but I feel that since he is selling himself as a "Christian Leader", he should be looked upon with "Christian" standards. A quick Google search should be able to point you to the source of which many of my opinions were based, so I will leave that to you if you care to do further research (some specific scriptures have been noted, and although most of the items on the list do refer to Scripture, I have not yet taken the time to site each one). I repeat, this list is just my opinion of why he should not be President, to me. (in no particular order) Thank you.

Mike Huckabee says he's pro-life, yet supports the death penalty.

Mike Huckabee tried to remove furniture from the governor's mansion.
Mike Huckabee had a hand in TWICE as many pardons and commutations as his three predecessors combined (1033).

Mike Huckabee wants to create an un-Constitutional Federal Ban on all smoking in public places (would sign a bill, rather than demand an amendment to the Constitution, or allowing individuals to vote on the matter).
Mike Huckabee discussed his prayer life on tv, a pastor should know Matthew 6:6 teaches us to keep our prayer life to ourselves.
Mike Huckabee spent $13,000 of taxpayer money to destroy his computers when leaving office. - fhornplayer, on 12/18/2007, -5/+19Looking at your profile, I see that you're new to digg. Welcome. While here or anywhere, think before you speak. Also, just don't be a douche.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -7/+20It is time for him to close his campaign headquarters and go back to Arkansas where his backward ideas won't hurt anyone.
- onestrawplz, on 12/18/2007, -1/+14there have actually been studies done to back this up, so it's not just a "gay myth" as you so eloquently put it.
http://www.oogachaga.com/downloads/homophobia_and_ ...
"The authors investigated the role of homosexual arousal in exclusively heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. Participants consisted of a group of homophobic men (n=35) and a group of nonhomophobic men (n=29); they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W.W. Hudson & W.A. Ricketts, 1980). The men were exposed to sexually explicit erotic stimuli consisting of heterosexual, male homosexual, and lesbian videotapes, and changes in penile circumference were monitored. They also completed an Aggression Questionnaire (A.H. Buss & M. Perry, 1992). Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female homosexual videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies." - SiNN4R, on 12/18/2007, -3/+15I am a necrophiliac and I take offense at having my natural affections being perverted by being compared to homosexuality.
- synthox, on 12/18/2007, -2/+13I am starting to believe that Huckabee does not want the GOP nomination. The next thing ya know a mugshot of him after huffing gold paint might surface from 5 years ago.
- renegadeafk, on 12/18/2007, -3/+14If it was written by one of his staffers how does that his fault.
- gropo, on 12/18/2007, -1/+12Knowing Republicans he also likely keeps his latent sexual proclivities in there as well.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -2/+13yeah well i equate fundamentalists with psychopaths
- SmackedbyEVO, on 12/18/2007, -0/+10Am I the only one that thought the book "Kids Who Kill" was about his son killing the dog?
- sammcj2000, on 12/18/2007, -2/+12its funny because the facts state that a homosexual man is far less likely to commit acts of pedophilia than a straight man.
go figure. - bolognium, on 12/18/2007, -3/+13if there were any serious dirt on Ron Paul it would've definitely come up to the surface by now
- kaelyiesta, on 12/18/2007, -1/+11Nice, I do that too with many candidates. Maybe you should consider sharing it, so that it can be improved and critiqued and read by others.
- MisterEX, on 12/18/2007, -6/+15Weird, I have an excel sheet with over 350 reasons why none of the candidates should be president.
- johndi, on 12/18/2007, -2/+11Huckabee is quite bad, but I'm not sure his antiquated beliefs will be taken seriously. The spotlight is just starting to shine on him, and I think his chances will melt as his absurd nature is revealed. To me Giuliani seems worse. He has complete contempt for civil rights and the ability to make bold face lies believable to the majority. Somehow his fearmongering is keeping people from seeing the obvious.
- Vektuz, on 12/18/2007, -1/+9haha, hello fellow spreadsheet-maker.
Huckabee is at like negative 54.4 on my spreadsheet. Where negative indicates stuff I don't agree with, zero is neutral, and positive means they are in line with what I want. They only get like up to 1 point either way for each issue too, so he's essentially ***** insane. - scott88008, on 12/18/2007, -3/+11True, necrophilia never hurt anyone.
- BeeArePro, on 12/18/2007, -7/+15Who wants to bet that Mike has had sex with one or more guys? Wait and see, just wait and see...
- tman84, on 12/18/2007, -3/+11Ron Paul has been walking the walk and talking the same talk for over 30 years. you can google speeches of his from the 80's and nothing has changed.
- jdh24, on 12/18/2007, -4/+12To be fair, Ron Paul does have some mini-scandals, like the racist statements written by one of his staffers, and the earmarks he pushed into some legislation. I'm just glad people are being nit-picky with him and his philosphy..if only people did that with other government officials.
- osirisothedead, on 12/18/2007, -0/+7You're quite correct. It couldn't be a logical conclusion.
- newbill123, on 12/18/2007, -2/+9I'm not sure that there have been enough studies for a statistical correlation between homophobia and homosexuality to be done, but there are two types of homophobes I've known.
1) They know no gay people in real life and only know of gay life through outrageous stereotypes, intentionally offensive publicity hounds, and devastating stories of tragedy related to a gay person or relationship. This is simple fear via ignorance. The exaggerated stories will be heard by kids before they know what sex is. There will always be a need to educate people that the stories that make Nancy Grace or Dr. Phil are the appalling exceptions. This type of ignorant homophobe is more often straight than gay though.
2) Has no ignorance about gay life (both stereotypical or normal) but also has a reason to ignore the normal parts when talking to others. They actively filter out the normal and promote the offensive for ridicule. They want to get others to cast their fear and hatred on the outrageous homosexuals. Why? That's debatable. It could be to hide their own sexual issues. It could be to gain favor from someone they think would look favorably on this discrimination (e.g. a father, priest, or boss). Whatever the reason, this type of homophobia isn't quiet: it's loud and about spreading a message of fear, hate and ignorance. I think the number of folks in this group that I've known have had significant sexual issues that society would look down on (adultery, bondage fetish, straight male cross-dressing, interracial or intergenerational lusts) but they aren't always just gay.
Still, if they are loud about their homophobia, I generally think of them in the Type 2 group of trying to brown nose someone or fearing their own secrets might be exposed (whatever they may be). - Bossobass, on 12/18/2007, -5/+12We need freedom. But, only for those Huck says deserve it. If you're gay, green, Muslim, Native American, Buddhist, Peacenik or any other kind of American, the Great Judge from Arkansas will immediately place you in Purgatory.
- smacksaw, on 12/18/2007, -2/+9That makes him a *****-eating necrophiliac as well, by his logic.
- osirisothedead, on 12/18/2007, -1/+8Absolutely. Those gay penguins at the Central Park Zoo are going straight to hell!
- banmaster, on 12/18/2007, -1/+8Nice that 'Huck thinks I'd want to screw dead people!!
- Gir53457, on 12/18/2007, -4/+10Out of curiosity... umm... why are you not using Open Office?
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -1/+7Ted Faggard says no.
- HentaiJeff, on 12/18/2007, -0/+6well honestly pedophilia isn't. ppl were marrying 12 year old girls off to 30 year olds as a regular thing for centuries and no one ever complained. Granted this was a different time and these ppl usually remained together. I'm not trying to defend guys ***** 4-5 year olds but I do be live the age of consent should at least be lowered to 16 like most of the civilized world
