- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -45/+122Can I just say, once again, how stupid this submission is?
Yes? Thanks.
This is a very stupid submission. - inactive, on 06/03/2009, -117/+194OMG... That's hysterical. Liberals need a tutorial on how to avoid a TV Channel...
- 45superman, on 06/03/2009, -37/+82Maybe for the next submission, "jblogging" can explain how to NOT read the Wall Street Journal ;-).
- foucaultsvac, on 06/04/2009, -1/+43Dugg because this thread is littered with silly, useless name calling from both sides.
- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -23/+59Step 1: When passing by the News Stand, do not, repeat DO NOT, pick up the one that says "Wall Street Journal".
Step 2: Breathe huge sigh of relief. - ironhide, on 06/03/2009, -19/+53Kids, don't you have something better to do with your time than worry about what people *aren't* watching and how they choose not to watch it?
I don't have a horse in this race since I watch about an hour of TV a week, none of it news from any network, there are superior sources. - DaDrake, on 06/04/2009, -10/+43Bit funny how hating fox has become a bit of its own cult movement =p
- AWBoy666, on 06/03/2009, -37/+70This is pretty damn funny. Why not ***** just not watch it? Why remove it at all? LOL
- CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -23/+54You guys are cracking me up!
I guess this is TheJoshuaBlog's new form of 'avoidance therapy.' - CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -27/+56Thinking human beings don't leap from Fox News to assassinations.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -6/+33I'll second that!
- LouisCipher777, on 06/03/2009, -43/+70cool, now I know how to get rid of MSNBC, ABC, and all the other crap I dont want to see.... or then again, I can just not bother to press "OK" when I move over those channels on the guide.
- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -49/+76rbiii, RBPCP, AHM and Carrots for brains. The right-wing only produces the best trolls.
- Stevanoski, on 06/03/2009, -23/+49@USArugula, by your thinking re: christians stoking fires that led to killing of abortionist, what part does the Left play in the killing of a soldier at a recruiting station?
- heythere1857, on 06/03/2009, -20/+45Hey, at least they're just telling people how to do it on their own and not forcing them.
One guy on digg said he was a cable guy and when he installed cable at customer's homes, he would actually program TVs to skip over Fox. So ***** stupid. - DirkBelig, on 06/04/2009, -29/+54Liberals proclaim they live a "reality-based existence" but stuff like this proves that their idea of *reality* is actually a hermetically-sealed cocoon in which nothing but what they want to hear or see is allowed in, lest their rigidly-held dogmas be challenged by, you know, REAL reality.
I see that Kevin Rose's Obama-worshiping algorithms are tailored to promote any anti-conservative items to the front page with hardly any Diggs. Only 40 were needed to get this to show on my feed while a story I submitted about Obama's backdoor plans to stifle gun owners by limiting ammunition never got promoted despite having over 150 Diggs. Nice.
40 Diggs for an anti-conservative/anti-reality item = front page
150 Diggs warning of Obama's anti-Constitutional schemes = no front page
Digg was a good idea in concept. Too bad Statist ideology and the mouth-breathing herds of Kossacks regurgitating their uninformed memes about anyone not goose-stepping to their Statist tyrant drummer make it an epic fail in practice. - novenator, on 06/04/2009, -36/+61Awww, isn't this cute. All the neocon Fox News and Limbaugh fanboys have congregated for a good old fashioned hate fest.
- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -60/+83Know what? Fox news watchers are LESS EDUCATED, earn LESS income and are LESS INFORMED about current events compared to those that watch even the DAILY SHOW!
http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT= ...
FTA (for those Faux news watchers and WND readers that NEVER click on links provided that show the FACTS):
With an Audience Less Educated and Less Affluent Than 'The Daily Show,'
Perhaps O'Reilly Should Share Some of What He's Been Smoking
'Daily Show' Viewers Are Younger, Smarter and More Affluent Than
'The O'Reilly Factor'
National Annenberg Election Survey Concludes That 'Daily Show' Viewers Are
More Educated and More Interested in the Presidential Campaign Than The
Average American and Have Higher Campaign Knowledge
Than National News Viewers and Newspaper Readers
NEW YORK, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Ever the gracious host, Bill O'Reilly
continually referred to viewers of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" as
"stoned slackers" and "dopey kids" during an interview with "Daily Show" host
Jon Stewart when the anchor of the news satire was a guest on Fox News
Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Friday, September 17.
O'Reilly opened his interview with the 5-time Emmy Award-winning Stewart
with the following statement: "You know what's really frightening? You
actually have an influence on this presidential election. That is scary, but
it's true. You've got stoned slackers watching your dopey show every night
and they can vote." O'Reilly sprinkled the "stoned slackers" reference
throughout the 7-minute interview adding a "dopey kids" in once for good
measure (for a copy of this interview or a transcript please contact Bill
O'Reilly c/o "The O'Reilly Factor" at Fox News Channel).
What should be truly frightening to O'Reilly is how the audience for "The
O'Reilly Factor" stacks up against that of "The Daily Show." Far from being a
bunch of stoned slackers, viewers of "The Daily Show" are actually smarter and
more affluent than those of "The Factor."
Research conducted by COMEDY CENTRAL reveals that the viewers of "The
Daily Show" are 78% more likely than the average adult to have four or more
years of college education and 74% more likely than the average adult to have
a household income of greater than $75,000 and an occupation of "professional,
owner or manager." With respect to "The O'Reilly Factor," viewers of the Fox
News Channel's signature show are only 24% more likely than the average adult
to have four or more years of college education and, amazingly, are 15% less
likely than the average adult to have a household income of greater than
$75,000 and an occupation of "professional, owner or manager...."
*********************************************
Now Click the link and read the rest!
Once again I'll just HIGHLIGHT these FACTS:
* Viewers of "The Daily Show" are 78% more likely than the average adult
to have four or more years of college education.
* Viewers of "The O'Reilly Factor" are only 24% more likely than the
average adult to have four or more years of college education.
Any wingnuts want to refute this? make sure you provide a link and source to the BS you're about to post in response.
thanks!
-GJ - Stevanoski, on 06/04/2009, -18/+41"The scumbag who killed a soldier in Arizona was just another one of you conservative religious fundamentalists."
Wrong again. He listened to CNN and other Leftist mouthpieces. He knew he had allies in the Left for killing American soldiers. You would deny that??? Wow, serious blindness practiced by you Progressives. - CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -23/+44/looks at watch.
Yep, school just got out. - Charlotte_Web, on 06/04/2009, -11/+31@USArugula:
"You seem to mistaking the phrase "ostrich mentality" for the word boycott"
How can you boycott a channel you never watched?
A boycott presumes that you were a viewer in the first place. The penalty to the station in the boycott is the loss of your viewership. - inactive, on 06/03/2009, -18/+38I don't watch TV for the most part. I just find it interesting that you and the peanut gallery have so much time to waste in flaming an article that really shouldn't concern you at all.
- Charlotte_Web, on 06/04/2009, -12/+32Just more evidence that liberals are frightened of the marketplace of ideas.
- PhoenixTx, on 06/03/2009, -61/+80I love it. Liberal ostrich mentality. Just more proof that liberals are cowards, It's pathetic at best. LOL
- CaptCarrot, on 06/04/2009, -6/+25Thank you, DB. Seriously.
- wendelgee2, on 06/04/2009, -4/+22My IQ has dropped 10 points from just landing on this page.
- CaptCarrot, on 06/04/2009, -12/+29Aw, c'mon, AgeofMasturby -- if we'd had the same article, word for word, except replacing Fox News with MSNBC, you'd be having the same enjoyment of the comedy that we are. It's okay to admit it.
- CaptCarrot, on 06/04/2009, -7/+24@nihilville: Arizona =/= Arkansas.
- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -16/+33One does not have to prove the non-existence of a diety. It is up to you to prove it's existence.
You fail at logic. - CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -25/+39It's useful in that I can follow those steps to get MSNBC taken off of my DirecTV guide! So, thanks, I guess. :)
- CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -23/+36So long, Keith Olbermann!
- Sherman901, on 06/04/2009, -4/+17@nihilville
You are the reason they invented the phrase "The pot calling the kettle black" - DankBuddz, on 06/04/2009, -16/+28I'm a liberal, and I spent 7 years in the Army defending your ability to be uneducated.
What have you done? - AgeofMastery, on 06/04/2009, -21/+33And once again we get the right's version of freedom...We're free to watch what they tell us to watch. How dare we block a channel on our own tv?
- doctorgrim, on 06/04/2009, -21/+33I don't want my kids exposed to the trash that Faux News spews every day. Thanks for the tip. :)
- LouisCipher777, on 06/03/2009, -17/+29lest we forget
- Charlotte_Web, on 06/04/2009, -9/+21@naner:
If you weren't a consumer in the first place, and not a part of their target market, then please illuminate me as to why Fox News would give a rat's ass about USArugula boycotting their station. - stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -14/+25The pot calls the kettle black. How many Digg accounts do you currently have, bettverboten, er ah, lizbet? How many times have you been banned, only to resurrect yourself under a new account? Would you like to borrow a mirror?
- Nicoon, on 06/04/2009, -17/+28Good. I can't see why anyone would watch Faux News.
- bettverboten, on 06/03/2009, -19/+30jblogging I mean thejoshuablog (in hiding) has turned into a comedian digg poster
This has to be a joke, no one would seriously post this! - ThsGuyRightHere, on 06/04/2009, -0/+11One would hope that neither camp would want to embrace the people who are too dumb to program their satellite guide.
- CaptCarrot, on 06/03/2009, -24/+35It's just typical teen angst and sexual frustration, rbiii.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -30/+41So interesting these arguments coming from the very people that pushed for a V-chip to block bad words and naughty bits coming in through their televisions.
- ironhide, on 06/04/2009, -12/+22Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.
- inactive, on 06/03/2009, -25/+35OsceneInTx... What are you babbling about?
- nihilville, on 06/04/2009, -11/+21Wow, you actually tried to parlay geek as an insult?
You do realize what site your on, right? ;) - OsceneInTx, on 06/04/2009, -11/+21ahahhahhahahahhahah! OMFG wowoowoowoowow ahahahahahahahahahhaa!
Dude thank you! THANK YOU! That was the funniest hing I've read all day...
"I don't know of any Fox or Limbaugh folks who hate anything' LOLOLOLOL - inactive, on 06/03/2009, -22/+32Jesus doesn't and never did exist, so I assume he did nothing.
- apackofmonkeys, on 06/04/2009, -1/+11Lol, keep in mind that they're the party of "open-mindedness" and "tolerance". Of course, that's only with people they already agree with-- everybody else gets their channel deleted.
- Troy64, on 06/03/2009, -13/+23I think it can be fun to turn on MSNBC and have a few laughs.
