- 140Suffolk, on 05/23/2008, -0/+3Well said. There's really no point in voting for McCain, is there? He's in favor of closing Gitmo, he's in favor of trials for illegal enemy combatants, he's in favor of wrecking the economy with Global warming schemes. He's in favor of amnesty for illegals.
Sounds like Obama or Hillary, doesn't it? - NavyPatriot, on 05/24/2008, -0/+0Melanie makes serious points and the results are even more serious. Effectively the Republicans have created a one party system, the liberal big spending party. The damage is so serious that it may be impossible to woo the Conservatives back. How will it be done? Will all the RINO's undergo a miracle conversion to Conservatism and quit acting like Democrats (even in their private lives)? Or will they be kicked out of the Party because they can't be trusted ever again. This includes the Party leadership, yeah, they'll let go of their control willingly, sure they will.
It looks like the Party may return from whence they came, the Whigs. - skydebbie, on 05/24/2008, -0/+0McCain only rearranges the words, says the same things as Clinton and Obama
