- Partofthehope, on 04/09/2008, -2/+121She lied, she went negative and I do not trust her to take us in the new direction we need to take to make this country great again.
- DeskFlyer, on 04/09/2008, -2/+85She never had my vote to begin with.
- noahgelman, on 04/09/2008, -15/+91How did Hillary lose my vote? She's Hillary
- inactive, on 04/09/2008, -3/+68She lies too much even for a politician.
- krellor, on 04/09/2008, -1/+38"It's the same thing as if a Presidential candidate were to want to infringe on your First Amendment rights."
Like Bush? Seriously, why does everything have to revolve around a single issue all the time? There will never be a politician that lines up with your values 100%. Never. Unless you run for office. Sometimes I think gun rights activists would be happy letting the country go to hell as long as they get to keep there boom sticks. And I own several guns and come from a small farming town; lots of guns around. But to vote for, say, McCain just because of gun rights is absurd. - franklymister, on 04/09/2008, -2/+36I was a Hillary supporter, but her own actions drove me away. I wrote to her office and called when the bill came up calling Iran a terrorist threat, and she voted for it anyway. Then her bizarre health care plan came out - and her supporters just called me a moron for questioning it.
Then she started playing shenanigans with the boycotted primaries.
Then she started lying more and more blatantly on the campaign trail.
Then that stupid, stupid SNL skit - and Hillary's weird responses to it in the debates, and this whole attempt at playing the victim thing... it just got to be too much.
I'm just glad I switched to Obama before it was time to vote in my state. - albinorhino101, on 04/09/2008, -2/+25That's actually debatable

Fakest thing this year. - PabloMac, on 04/09/2008, -0/+17Some of us never trusted her to begin with, and are glad more and more Americans are learning and acting on the facts surrounding her and her husband's lack of integrity.
- deviouskoopa, on 04/09/2008, -5/+22Why couldn't Helen Keller drive?
I kid, I kid... that's not how. - jprdd, on 04/09/2008, -1/+18Walmart.
- inactive, on 04/09/2008, -6/+23Hillary gives me explosive diarrhea.
- saranagati, on 04/09/2008, -1/+17She lost my vote when she decided to lead a country wide campaign to ban adult/mature rated video games. People leading my country need to be able to tell the difference between political correctness, facts, and issues where not all the facts have come in. As a senator she proved that she's not able to make the distinction.
- cyclades, on 04/09/2008, -3/+19I started off a Hillary supporter, but she has no one to blame but herself. Sure Bill didn't help, but she revealed herself to be exactly what the right has been saying about her all along, and that's pretty damn bad.

- zephyear, on 04/09/2008, -1/+15when the race started i was all "well obama's my guy, but hillary ain't too bad"
now i loathe her as much as the republicans - Mothrog, on 04/09/2008, -1/+15So, you're voting for Hillary then?
- Hypersapien, on 04/09/2008, -1/+14Unless we start spending more money on education, there isn't going to be anyone to work for NASA.
- fazik93, on 04/09/2008, -4/+16Why Hillary lost my vote? She's Pinocchio. She lies and gets uglier every time she does it.
- agarfield2004, on 04/09/2008, -8/+20I hate Hilary as much as anyone, but come on, you need a better reason.

- saxreturns, on 04/09/2008, -0/+10Thanks for your wall of text, but you really have no idea what you're talking about. If you look at the evidence, which is mounting by the day, you'll see that Hillary has employed lies and deception for much of her campaign. Not only that, but much of the mainstream media has favoured her all along; it's only now that she's obviously behind that they're taking a more balanced view.
As for all politicians being corrupt, I wouldn't agree with that necessarily. Yes, politics is a dirty business, because it's all about compromise. Out of the three possibilities left for the next president, I truly believe that Obama's the least likely to pander to lobbyists and the politics of fear that will infringe further on people's civil liberties and rights. I base this not on 'hype and overnight success' but on solid evidence that I have witnessed over the past few months. - diggduggDOOM, on 04/09/2008, -0/+10You're new to this reading thing, aren't you?
- jaznova, on 04/09/2008, -0/+9Actually, a couple years ago before Obama came into the picture, and before she started to show her true colors, I would have.
Weird, that was hard to say. - dext3r, on 04/09/2008, -3/+12you doubled up on your own comment, gay!
- Jack9, on 04/09/2008, -1/+9HER vote. idiot
- roamzero, on 04/09/2008, -0/+8With guys like Obama and Kucinich (that was running) how could anyone pick Hillary in the first place? Seriously, continuing this clinton/bush pattern is reason alone to avoid supporting her.
- OriginalReplica, on 04/09/2008, -1/+9I just wish she would have run back in '04 when we really needed her, but she chickened out and the Democrats had to run someone as bland and visionless as John Kerry. She's four years too late.
- deadbaby, on 04/10/2008, -0/+8I had no problem with Clinton 4 months ago. When she was the clear favorite she was running a positive campaign and treating her opponents with respect. As the months have gone on she's really burned a lot of bridges. I can put up with some lying (it's politics, you gotta lie a little) but the mismanagement of her campaign combined with her negativity reminds me too much of the Bush/Cheney regime. So in 4 months it's gone from "I hope she's the next President" to "Well, maybe she can be VP" to "I'm not even sure she should be a Senator"
- omnithought, on 04/09/2008, -3/+11What else could they legally be used for? Either you're shooting at inanimate targets or you're hunting. The only reason you should use them on a person is if they're breaking into your house or invading your country a la "Red Dawn"
- OriginalReplica, on 04/09/2008, -1/+9I agree, if this negativity and lying is what she does when she is under pressure I don't want her for my President, even though I did vote for her as my Senator.
- zeiben, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7Wait, you're choosing the leader of your country based on how you feel about some of their supporters? How very neat...
- highlymodified, on 04/10/2008, -1/+8Wiretapping? Lying to incite war? The war on drugs? Giving protection to corporations that mine private data?
There's "taking your civil rights away" (aka spacing out your gun purchases) and then there's taking away your civil rights. - NebCanuck, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7Nor mine... I'm Canadian!
- stormc, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7Much better teachers will only come when they are paid a salary comparable to their importance. Until then, some teachers will have the passion to teach and forgo a higher-paying job, but many potentially excellent teachers will seek other work.
Infusion of cash in public school budgets to raise teacher salaries and improve quality of education is critical to prevent future Miss Teen South Carolinas and those teens down in Florida who beat up a girl for you tube. I support NASA but I don't see how the space program is more important than a more educated citizenry when so many of our society's problems are solvable through better education (Crime, welfare abuse, ignorance of the world around us/foreign policy, etc) - evilesttoast, on 04/09/2008, -0/+7Why would you even think about that...
- agarfield2004, on 04/09/2008, -3/+10ha, ok...
- Hypersapien, on 04/09/2008, -0/+7It's called an 'open letter'. The letter is FOR Hillary, but everyone can read it.
- krellor, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7A second point. While we have freedom of religion insofar as our practice of it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Guns in the wrong hands make it very easy to infringe on the foremost right to life. Therefore it makes sense to carefully screen people for histories of violence and mental instability, etc... to keep guns out of those peoples hands.
One time I got into a argument with a guy who said it was unfair that he couldn't own a gun because he had 3 charges of domestic assault on his record. I told him that he is the kind of person that shouldn't have a gun in the first place. - inactive, on 04/09/2008, -5/+12Show us. Where did he mention that, or sign a bill that does exactly what you say?
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7I thought I was the only one. Hi friend. Embrace your explosiveness. I have. Gotta go.
- omnithought, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7I asked "what else" and "legally". The defense of self and others was already covered. "shooting" is extremely vague. If you mean target practice, well, that's been covered too. As far as helping police officers, that's usually considered a vigilante act and is illegal, so I still don't see the problem here.
- inactive, on 04/09/2008, -3/+10She never had mine.
Edit: Looks like I'm not alone as I scanned further in the thread, after posting this, to which I cannot just delete it and move along. Comment System suc - TsuruchiBrian, on 04/09/2008, -0/+6People don't dislike women. People dislike liars. Throughout the course of this election, people have figured out that Hillary is a liar. Therefore people have started to dislike Hillary. It's not any more complicated than that.
I think honesty is an EXCELLENT reason to vote for someone. Much more than positions on issues. If someone has great positions on issues, but they are dishonest, then I have 0 confidence that they will do what they say. If someone is honest but has different views on how to solve our problems, I can at least be confident that that person will TRY to do the right thing, and maybe even change their mind and do it my way. Or maybe I will change my mind and decide their way is indeed better.
Also I think HIllary in addition to being a liar has no sense of honor. She is not only willing to lie, but also to hurt innocent people for personal gain. I am horrified at the idea of her being in a position of deciding what is for the greater good. Everything I have seen her do has been in her own self interest.
I am not even an Obama supporter. But it is clear to me as night and day that Obama would be a much better ANYTHING than Hillary. Like I said. I will not be voting for Obama in November, but out of the 3 remaining "viable" candidates left, he is by far the most palatable. - Trixrox, on 04/09/2008, -1/+7I'm hoping eventually there will be a shift of parties, or a shift of views to small government, less spending, less taxation...I wish we didn't have to deal with the Iraq war, we have real issues that need solved, like Social Security...homegrown energies, lack of science and engineering majors...
- queotic, on 04/09/2008, -3/+9Wow. This was a powerful, honest piece. I feel more empathy towards HRC supporters now because I can only imagine what it would be like if my candidate let me down. Granted, HRC is a lying politician, but let's face it - isn't that what we all expect from our elected officials? I'm just glad that the writer was able to finally come to her senses.
