- inactive, on 04/30/2009, -5/+46Goldman received about $10,000,000,000.00 that is $10 Billion in TARP funds.
They have hired a lawyer to attack an American blogger who is critical of their operations.
In addition they applied to set up a branch in IRAN
...received taxpayer dollars, trying to quiet free speech in America, and going to IRAN, a radical Islamic Republic to set up business..
blogger's site is www.goldmansachs666.com...eye popping, head exploding info there.. - JoeParanoid, on 04/30/2009, -7/+48Which should tell you this crisis is no accident or a result of "bungling." It was done deliberately to deplete government treasuries and the pockets of workers to repatriate even more wealth further up the food chain. Because the megayachts were just not doing it for them anymore, they needed a bigger rush.
- MrFunStuff, on 05/01/2009, -1/+41CNN: Obama Appoints Goldman Sachs Lobbyist as his Chief of Staff
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtuIByPe7ic - devinelaw, on 04/30/2009, -3/+39I wrote a column suggesting that TARP looked like Paulson paying his pals.
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+26WashingtonExaminer.com:
Goldman Sachs' new top lobbyist was recently the top staffer to Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., on the House Financial Services Committee chaired by Frank.
Michael Paese, a registered lobbyist for the Securities Industries and Financial Markets Association since he left Frank's committee in September, will join Goldman as director of government affairs.
This role was held last year by former Tom Daschle intimate, Mark Patterson, now the chief of staff at the Treasury Department. - westtexas357, on 05/01/2009, -1/+24These guys OWN our President.
The old one, the new one, and the next one. - GovernmentSp00k, on 04/30/2009, -2/+21Exactly..The organized crime in power give it a dumb acronym "title" to make it sound "legitimate" and "significant" as if the ***** means something..
"TARP"..=

- vbullinger, on 05/01/2009, -0/+12It's a coincidence!
/Invincible Ignorance - CanPanther, on 05/01/2009, -1/+12Join the US government...hire your buddies...commit world-wide fraud...blame everyone else...let the taxpayer & other governments pay for it.
Isn't it awesome to be American? </sarc> - nirvanix, on 05/01/2009, -0/+10Canadian Prime Minister Harper appointed a former Goldman Sachs exec as the head of the Bank of Canada, our central bank. Definitely smells like a rat.
- aletoledo, on 05/01/2009, -0/+9It's a coincidence that repeats itself time and time again throughout history!
- BenFranklin, on 05/01/2009, -1/+10My good friend Thomas Jefferson said it best: "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies..."
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -2/+10Sorry about the whole TARP thing. My bad.
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -2/+9He's just rubbing ***** in our faces at this point.
- firesphotons, on 05/01/2009, -0/+7Apparently, Bernieboy is the only crook in the banking industry that needs to face the music..What a sham, the courts should be full of waiting cases and cells cleared for these *****. Of course in the USA you only need to go to jail if you're a peon without juice..
- mrmod, on 05/01/2009, -0/+7It's such an obvious conclusion, it's mind boggling how any other could have been drawn.
- lothar250, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6Chill.. You're gonna get a heart attack there.
- vbullinger, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6Is this that douche that spams that in all the Google videos? Man, that's annoying. I don't care if you said in all caps that I was awesome and asked everyone to send me money, I would still be annoyed by it. No one's going to listen to your message - no matter what you say - if you say it like that.
Make a post that's relevant to the topic at hand. - aletoledo, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6Sometimes I wonder if people do it on purpose to make opponents of these ideas look like nuts. A great tactic to push any agenda through would be to make your opponent look crazy.
- LemonHerb, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6They better do something before they get exposed. When you try to ruin the world for your own financial gain you sometimes over look that bullets don't cost a lot.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6Anyone paying attention is obviously crazy....how convenient.
- kkonarik, on 05/01/2009, -0/+5And government regulation only helps the big boy that own it. The craps going to hit the fan people and lots of peons are going to be pissed. Hope you people are prepped for it.
- aletoledo, on 05/01/2009, -1/+6"I'm sure plenty of their dollar values have sunk due to this problem."
Not true. Obviously there are the bailouts that have replaced whatever losses they might have suffered, but there is a more fundamental issue to consider. Money doesn't simply disappear from an economy, it changes hands. GS executives, assuming they orchestrated everything, could have sold everything at the top, then allowed everything to collapse. Now that everything is back at firesale prices, they can re-acquire everything they sold a few months ago. Rinse and repeat. - Bubble666, on 05/01/2009, -2/+7Yup that's the way it is, now, get back to work !
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+5What's wrong with telling it like it is?
- aletoledo, on 05/01/2009, -0/+5Not the O, he was our hope for change!
- kkonarik, on 05/01/2009, -0/+4Guess the peons need to learn to follow the Constitution and not D.C. B.S.
It sucks that we've let them get this much control but it sure won't be easy getting them to release it. - inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+5For those who follow the NYSE and trading markets:
According to the latest numbers put out by the New York Stock Exchange, Goldman did twice the number of so-called big program trades during the week of April 13.
In fact, the bulk of the 1.234 billion shares traded by Goldman were done with the firm's own money.
This trading is being done AFTER the $10 BILLION, $10,000,000,000.00 TARP...keep in mind this $10 BILLION is American TAXPAYER Dollars....
There IS an ART, Technical Analysis, Fundamental Analysis, Algorithmic Programs to this trading HOWEVER many call it just plain old "gambling" and now with taxpayer's money HANDED out by the GOVERNMENT.... so through Goldman Sachs, could the government be "Manipulating" markets????
Surely, Not in America!!! /s - firesphotons, on 05/01/2009, -0/+4It will take blood in the streets to make any profound changes..Our government has never been without corruption but these days they toss it in our faces as if to say "so what"...
- BlacklabelSAR, on 05/01/2009, -0/+4You are not a student of History are you?
- DPDish12, on 05/01/2009, -0/+3July of 2008?
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+4Nah, I think JP Morgan still owns the world, Goldman Sachs is powerful, but not that powerful.
- gospe1337, on 05/01/2009, -0/+3We should hire pure, uncorrupted liberal arts professors instead.
Dugg. - inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+3Yay for Fasci....Capitalism.
- mrmod, on 05/01/2009, -0/+2Hopefully the peons get pissed sooner. The democrat peons are to coddled to take action and the republican peons are too sure that their party will help them.
Capitalism is fine when you have people that can control themselves. Most people, however, cannot. - gizram84, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2quick bury him, he said something bad about democrats!!!! /s
JON CORZINE IS THE BIGGEST IDIOT ALIVE.. HE IS ROBBING NJ BLIND.. - inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+3No, it's a massive conspiracy, that's the only explanation!
/s - TheAngryMob, on 05/01/2009, -0/+2Um, yeah. A little behind aren't we?
- gizram84, on 05/30/2009, -0/+1how is he "filling the hole" when he is digging the hole deeper?
I'm passionate about NJ politics and Jon Corzine is enemy number one.
"there are much bigger idiots to be alarmed about"
like who? - govtdoesnotwork, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1It's illegal. Even if the law is only enforced against SOME businesses that do it, and even if the financial control freak agenda is bigger than a little thing like protecting US soldiers' lives (priority - low) vs protecting big Wall Street political contributors (priority - extra-high!).
- gizram84, on 05/30/2009, -2/+3Then they fired Jon Corzine and the idiot democrats in NJ voted this retard as governor...
- themadrammer, on 08/18/2009, -3/+4Every Large Consulting organization does this. They're all corrupt, they're all money hungry. Do you guys remember Arthur Anderson a couple of years ago, that was involved in the MCI scandal? Same crap.
Capatalism breeds greed and corruption like water brings rot - kkonarik, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1Sadly I feel the bulk of America won't wake up till we lose our credit bought lifestyles.
- joey101010, on 05/01/2009, -1/+2comments come to a screeching halt as everyone realizes how dumb they are
- gospe1337, on 05/01/2009, -2/+3Who is more benevolent and qualified for the position? I'm serious. Name them.
- vbullinger, on 05/01/2009, -1/+2There you go, BeefyAura! Kukiweed just admitted that he did "this on purpose to make opponents of these ideas look like nuts!"
