House Passes Unemployment Insurance Extension
downwithtyranny.blogspot.com — The House voted overwhelmingly (279-144) for the Emergency Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 2008 (H R 5749). Bush vows to veto it if the Democrats can stop McConnell's promised filibuster in the Senate. Will Republican senators follow Bush and McConnell down this dark and inhumane path-- or will John McCain lead them into the light? Guess.
