I was also annoyed by the people watching who thought she did extremely well. The fact is she didn't follow the rues of the debate. She was allowed to give her stump speech. That's not a debate. If she was in junior high, she would have lost the debate badly for not following the rules. But I guess rules don't matter if you're a hockey mom who's only been at it for 5 weeks. You betcha! People, the standards for VP need to be higher than for junior high kids. World leaders will not give Palin a pass.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+14Great article! Finally someone taking on this myth that the media has a liberal bias. So if a totally incompetent person is running for office and says ridiculous things and has no understanding of the issues and policy its the big bad liberal media elite huh??? GIVE ME A BREAK! Guess who owns all of these media outlets by in large? Republicans!!! This is just like a coach in a basketball game constantly working the refs. Lets talk about her seriously...screw the unimportant stuff...lets talk about her lack of knowledge and interest in domestic issues(THE ECONOMY ANYONE?) and her nonsensical assertion that she has foreign policy experience because Alaska is next to Russia! Let that sink in for a minute..................NOW! IMAGINE IF HILLARY CLINTON OR BARACK OBAMA HAD SAID THAT!!! It's not treating her unfairly to ask questions that everyone else is asked....its unfair for a presidential candidate to offer up a purely political and cynical VP pick instead of a serious candidate with the breadth and depth of knowledge needed. GET OUT AND KNOCK ON DOORS FOR OBAMA AND MAKE SOME PHONE CALLS! OR DONATE.
- 10snut, on 10/07/2008, -0/+13"Satan" Palin is a bubble head with no intellectual capacity, but she does have a large capacity for spreading hatred, racism and lies. Why does the media give her a free pass? Good question. If anyone else in political history dared to say the outrageous things she did they would be vilified as Neo-Nazis. But no, she is hailed as the brightest newest media darling. Well, folks, this isn't an "American Bigot" reality show. This election isn't about the small things like winks and mannerisms. It's about values, integrity, and the future of our country and our world.
- paintgrl, on 10/07/2008, -0/+9But she winked and was so cute. The MSM is afraid to be labeled as sexist, so they do not critique her as hard, which is sexist.

- shylove, on 10/07/2008, -0/+5Just remember she is being sculpted by the very media that spouts the anti-media rhetoric. Campaign consultants are just part of a lucrative industry, one of the few we still have, that goes non-stop from election season to election season and sometimes consults in foreign countries on how to run elections on empty calories. They are sculpting Sarah into an image not entirely her own and if she buys into it will turn her into a caracature of her former self. Just like George Bush by the way. His father had calories, not necessarily the ones I wanted in most cases but calories just the same, but his son chose to side with the empty calories and forego the expert advice, except the spoonfed advise of ideological think tankers who helped tank our country.
So if we want to continue running our country on superficial fumes and empty calories with USA,USA,USA and Drill Baby Drill thrills while we sink into a banana republic, she's our hero. She knows we are the best country in the world without ever seeing it which is kind of where we are these days. - ManInTheBunker, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4My favorite debate technique of hers: http://sarahpalinclubswhales.com/2008/10/06/sarah- ...
