Historic Hearing on Democrats Violating House Rules.
newsbusters.org — As one would imagine, if the Republicans controlled Congress when this happened, and were being investigated for possible wrongdoing now, this hearing likely would have been discussed all weekend, with a segment on Sunday's "60 Minutes," and be attended by every press outlet with hourly updates.

- bmcelrath, on 05/12/2008, -2/+17Why indeed.
- BuddyOne, on 05/12/2008, -1/+6I hate to sound like a broken record, but it'll eventually be a Second Amendment issue.
- Jagdhund, on 05/13/2008, -1/+5Which house rule did they violate, out of curiosity. I can't imagine it wouldn't get news coverage if it were blatant/serious. Sad to think it won't get coverage regardless.
- DavidS9, on 05/13/2008, -1/+3The Dems closed voting on a hot issue, they lost, then waited for most if not all the GOP to leave for the day and then reopened the voting retook the vote and closed voting again before the GOP could get back. And of course the measure pasted the second time.
- DavidS9, on 05/13/2008, -1/+3The issue was to defeat a motion to deny illegal aliens welfare benefits. So I was wrong on my last sentence. And it was all cuaght on TV I would love to see them spin this
