- ReidFleming, on 04/10/2008, -6/+49If she had focused on her own accomplishments instead of denigrating her fellow democrat, she'd be much better off. A candidate who can help shooting herself in the foot is a scary proposition as the POTUS.
- JlmAWP, on 04/10/2008, -3/+33I'm just glad that she'll be only New York's problem in a couple months, and not the rest of the country's.
Sorry New York, under the bus you go, but it must be done. - JlmAWP, on 04/10/2008, -2/+24The thing is, she didn't have many accomplishments to speak of. Once she had competition, she had to divert that negative attention away from her. Too bad it bounced of Obama and stuck to her anyway. Goes to show if you fling enough *****, you'll end up smelling like it.
Good riddance. - MazeKaz, on 04/10/2008, -14/+36Hillary can't satisfy her husband, so how can she satisfy a country?
- cobbwobbles, on 04/10/2008, -4/+22Look, all petty HRC bashing aside, she has shown she doesn't listen, and can't understand why its better for her party if she drops out and gets behind Obama. On top of all her financial shenanigans, those two things right there are red flags that genuinely make me worry about what she'd do as the most powerful president in history.
- Timetheos, on 04/10/2008, -4/+18Depends on your opinion on what the Supreme Court did? Some would argue that he ran a successful campaign.
- lead2thehead, on 04/10/2008, -2/+13Please... New York stepped right off the curb and into the bus lane. The bus driver layed on his horn, but New York just stood there in the middle of the street, staring at speeding bus and thinking about how wonderful things will be when it finally gets there.
- EugineMW, on 04/10/2008, -1/+11Hillary went negative after Barack started beating her imo. Ie, around/after Super Tuesday.
- stealthc, on 04/10/2008, -0/+9I am really disappointed in this perception by Americans that the President is supposed to "run the country." I thought strong-man dictatorships failed miserably enough in the 20th century that we'd be past trying that ***** again.
- snafuhalitosis, on 04/10/2008, -2/+10technically speaking, yes it does.
- neognostic, on 04/10/2008, -3/+11Well, if McCain is the best the Republicans can muster, then you shouldn't throw stones.
- visceroth, on 04/10/2008, -5/+13I don't think it's running a campaign that scares me. What scares me is her deaf ears towards the popular vote. She is supposed to work for the people. The People want Obama. Yet she still runs hoping to win. That is not the "will of the people". If she gets into office, how many times will our cries fall upon deaf ears? We have been living with that for 8 years now. The American people wants someone that will will listen to them.
- ecarver530, on 04/10/2008, -3/+11so Obama can't "unite" more than 55% of his party, yet somehow he can unite the entire country?
- Zaetha, on 04/10/2008, -3/+10You know the difference between run and ruin, Hillary? The "i", you selfish bitch.
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+8If paul's "revolution" did anything, it was creating a bunch of ignorant pricks who think they're a lot more informed than they actually are...
- Stevo23, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7Who's Ron Paul?
- leetdood, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7Or maybe that Clinton is a cutthroat bitch?
- thejimmyo, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6Incidentally, Mark Penn helped to run his campaign, too.
- mntalkase, on 04/10/2008, -2/+8It's not a matter if the campaign itself is successful... but how well (or poorly) it's managed. I can think of dozens of well managed campaigns that came up unsuccessful in the end. For example, the Mike Huckabee for President campaign, John Edwards for President... or even Ron Paul's crazy band of libertarians - All well run campaigns that didn't win in the end. Hillary Clinton for Prez... not by a long shot.
- pontiac, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7Care to name any?
- papaslurp, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6ZOMG VOTE 4 RON PAUL
- triskaid, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6the president does not run the country. and I seriously doubt that our current president ran his own campaign
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -3/+8I'm going to need you to cite some sources on that one, mm'kay?
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6MissTatum is a major troll. bury and report.
- plumcarrot, on 04/10/2008, -2/+6ugh.
- Enron1985, on 04/10/2008, -4/+8Buried for presenting an incredibly weak argument.
- Chebsi, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4*Hear
- Garlik, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4"Though the reconstructions vary, they generally agree on these basic points: Jesus was a Jewish teacher who attracted a small following of Galileans and, after a period of ministry, was crucified by the Romans in the Iudaea Province during the governorship of Pontius Pilate." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_Jesus
But I doubt you'll look at that seeing as you ignorantly dismiss a historic figure because he started a religion you dislike. Sure you can dismiss Jesus' deity and so forth, but he is clearly a figure in history and not accepting that would be, frankly, ignorant stupidity. That's like saying that Muhammad didn't exist because he is talked about in the Koran and he started a religion - Krisgi, on 04/10/2008, -8/+12I´m confused with the semantics here: how many people have had unsuccessful campaigns and won? By definition, their campaign is defined as successful or not according to whether they win or lose in the end. Or is it that I missed a fine point here?
It would be impossible to gauge whether unsuccessful campaigns produce successful public office holders because they don´t get the chance to try. What we do know, tragically, is that some candidates can run successful campaigns and then be a complete failure in the office to which they have been elected. The most notorious example being our actual President. - inactive, on 04/10/2008, -2/+6I hope your kidding... Please god, I pray this person is joking... You think if there is a god, first of all, that it's a "he" that you can bring it down to a human level? Second, it was in the plan to have GW elected, twice, and invade Iraq, ignore Afghanistan, ruin New Orleans (where the gay part of town wasn't effected) ruin the economy, raise the price of oil, destroy the environment, out a CIA spy, let our troops get poor medical coverage, have 9/11 happen, allow the spice girls to go back on tour, etc... i could do this all day. And C. just a little secret, the bible isn't real. it can teach life lessons, but so can the Cosby show. seriously, people who take the word literal, are f'ing crazy and shouldn't be allowed on computers in the first place. and if you were joking, my bad, keep it up chap.
- temporaryescape, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4alright dick masterson, unveil yourself!
- 471776, on 04/10/2008, -2/+6Don't group me in with this guy.
I like how the average anti-Obama person makes wildly inaccurate and unverified claims, backed up with sweeping generalizations.
/hypocrite - mal1964, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3This is how Obama is managing his campaign, Same writer same blog.
While the crowd was indeed diverse, some students at the event questioned the practices of Mrs. Obama’s event coordinators, who handpicked the crowd sitting behind Mrs. Obama. The Tartan’s correspondents observed one event coordinator say to another, “Get me more white people, we need more white people.” To an Asian girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, “We’re moving you, sorry. It’s going to look so pretty, though.”

- CannedMango, on 04/10/2008, -3/+6Al Gore was hampered by the fact that many Americans put a *large* amount of trust in hearsay.
- pattink, on 04/10/2008, -3/+6I don't think the current president is a good example...he didn't win the popular vote.
- JekJob, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4We aren't talking about success in the way that allows a candidate to actually be elected President in the general elections. Gore ran a successful campaign in that he was able to be nominated and didn't have to "fire" someone from his campaign every other day. The Supreme Court ruined that success, unfortunately.
- sonlar, on 04/10/2008, -3/+6That comment is absurd. if you are going to attempt to use Scripture, the least you should do is use it in context. I am not pro-Hillary, but I am positively "anti" distortion of the Sacred Word of God.
- defska42, on 04/10/2008, -2/+5You mean, besides the war and his knowledge of the economy?
- estvir, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4> Too bad it bounced of Obama and stuck to her anyway.
I am rubber, you are glue! (Thank you, Monkey Island) - netant, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3I'd peg it at right before the TX/OH vote. Making misleading and hypocritical NAFTA accusations against Obama was the first visible low blow.
- Cycline3, on 04/10/2008, -5/+8Dudes, we know Digg likes Obama. But do we have to see it every ***** day? Buried for lame ass repetition.
- RCourtney, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4You're kidding, right? The difference between Hillary's and Barack's policy standpoints is beyond insignificant. With the exception of who was against the war in Iraq from the beginning their ideas for the future of this country are almost identical. The difference is in how they would enact those policies and whether or not they will actually live up to their campaign promises, which is where Hillary fails hard. She has shown that she plans on running this country with the same divisiveness, deaf ear and selfish attitude that we have seen so far in just the primaries. That's character, not policy. Some people can hide such outrageous character flaws until they get elected, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), we've all now seen the type of character she will run this country with and a lot of people seem to smell something foul.
- forgiste, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3you are misled
- rrace, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2so whats the context?
- buddhistMonkey, on 04/10/2008, -2/+4It's actually a very meaningful argument. When Marc Andreessen met with Obama a couple years ago, he asked him, "how concerned should we be that you haven't had meaningful experience as an executive -- as a manager and leader of people?" Obama said, "watch how I run my campaign -- you'll see my leadership skills in action." And he did. Obama's superbly-run campaign has since convinced Andreessen, among many others, that Obama is the right candidate for the job.
This article makes the inverse argument about Hillary's campaign: all of the infighting, the poor money management, and the disorganization on the ground is an accurate measure of Clinton's leadership skills, or lack thereof.
Andreessen's blog (it's an interesting read): http://blog.pmarca.com/2008/03/an-hour-and-a-h.htm ... - Skidmark66, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2look, you USA guys bag hillary, but voted in bush, i dunno, whats going on over there
- netant, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2Allow me to present a different future.
Hillary is behind by 130 delegates. She will get negligible, if any, gains for the rest of the campaign. At the end of the last state primary, some time in June, Dean will have gotten all outstanding superdelegates to commit to a candidate by then. She will be behind. She will have lost the race. Everyone know's Denver is a formality, and will proceed to ignore her.
The question now is, how many militant fems will we lose to McCain. You are not keeping any Hillary voters in the fold by going out of your way to UNNECESSARILY antagonize them. Just wait till after June, and call the diehards retards for supporting a woman that would lie so stupidly about taking sniper fire in Tuzla. They hope you will forget, but /Dean "AAaaaaaaagh" /Dean will kill the beast.
If its done right, there will be negligible damage by her efforts by the time Denver comes around. - netant, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2Oh come on, as long as they are like that brilliant NCAA blogpost, they're worth digging... "Go Memphis! Don't listen to the final score! We need another quarter!"
- netant, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2"Just wondering, if Clinton is such a terrible candidate and can't run a campaign, why is this the closet primary in recent history?"
Answer: Inertia. I'm certain many SuperDuperTuesday states would have changed their votes after seeing Hillary in the past month. -
