- SheilaNoya, on 02/14/2008, -7/+389I'm afraid she's willing to destroy the Democratic party and let McCain win, rather than gracefully accept her losses.
Have you noticed that everytime Obama speaks, he says "We will" whatever...and he includes the voters.
Whereas Hillary always says "I will" whatever... like it's all about her and no one else.
She's really starting to scare people away now. - MonumentMan, on 02/14/2008, -7/+296
She is honestly going to try to steal this election.
Voters in Michigan and Florida were told ages ago that their votes won't count. Tragic, but true. The Dem leadership in Fla and Mich wanted to hold early primaries in violation of the party rules, so the Democratic Natl Committee told them that they would not seat their delegates. In layman's terms, the primaries wouldn't count, and neither would the votes.
So many of them stayed home and even the candidates did not campaign there. The candidates even SIGNED pledges saying that they wouldn't campaign.
How would the vote totals have looked if voters knew that their votes would count? Probably a lot different, for sure.
Now Hillary is trying to claim that those votes should count. She's changing the rules to benefit her, and doing a horrible injustice to the political system.
Please, DO NOT LET THIS WITCH STEAL THIS ELECTION. I beg of you. We have to end this type of win-at-all-costs political treachery. - inactive, on 02/14/2008, -4/+196Hillary again shows that her top priority is ... Hillary.
- frontporsche, on 02/14/2008, -6/+179I sometimes get the feeling that HRC would rather see McCain win than Obama, because if McCain won then Hillary could try again in four years.
- serenity450, on 02/14/2008, -5/+144And how about the fact that she didn't congratulate him the night of his wins? That's just . . . tacky. Obama has always been my candidate. But there was quite a while when I truly didn't think he had a chance. I always believed that I could easily vote for Clinton. But her tactics are just so NIXONIAN.
- jaybsauceda, on 02/14/2008, -5/+122WTF is with closely contested races always coming down to Florida....that state sucks
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -3/+114If by "incendiary," she means that she's going to set herself on fire, then that sounds lovely.
- MonumentMan, on 02/14/2008, -2/+96and just in case anybody was wondering, not only did obama not even campaign in these states
He wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan! It was a completely bogus election! - Napoleone, on 02/14/2008, -8/+78I find it spectacularly hilarious that Obama supporters still think he might lose. I don't even support the guy, and I'm telling you... this race is DONE. He's the next president. Take a breather.
When I speak against him I don't do it in hopes of hurting his campaign, I do so to alert you guys that he's not a perfect candidate. I want to keep you on your toes so that you can keep him on his. This is the time in which you people need to extract some concrete promises from the guy. You need to have him go on record on where he stands on several key issues, so that you can throw it in his face if he backs off once he becomes president.
For example. You need to get him to say he'll rescind the portions of the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act that he promised to work to undue when he was running for his senate seat. You need to have him say in absolute terms that he opposes the Real ID, be it properly funded or not. You need to get him to say that he opposes the FBI's upcoming biometrics data-bank if it includes law-abiding citizens and or those who commit simple misdemeanors.
You also need to get him to say he'll issue an executive order banning warrant-less spying, broad warrants, and data-mining. And you need him to say he'll re-instate Posse Comitatus and Habeas Corpus. You need to get this all ON THE RECORD, and BEFORE he becomes president.
I'll let you all get back to your senseless panicking about him losing, but get to work on getting him to say those things. If he does, I'll be less critical. - aliengoods, on 02/14/2008, -2/+67She's burning a lot of bridges and won't have a chance in hell in 4 years, especially if she screws over Obama and is the cause of the Iraq war being extended another term.
- ZenMojo, on 02/14/2008, -2/+64I wish her voters would wake up and smell the ***** brewing.
- Easty, on 02/14/2008, -1/+63She's going to set herself on fire to try to gain the pyromaniac vote?
- corvin, on 02/14/2008, -3/+46WTF? Hillary wants Michigan and Florida delegates seated?
What Bullsh*t. She was the only candidate on the ballot in Michigan.
I even remember her saying that she thinks that Michigan should be represented....even though they could only "vote" for her... - TheKorn2, on 02/14/2008, -2/+44Really? It wasn't his incapacity to put anything coherent after the word "I" that put you off?
- Napoleone, on 02/14/2008, -1/+41Why are you such a bigot? Do you know any black people? Do you know any muslims? Do you know any liberals?
I'm none of those three, and I can tell you as a matter of fact that good people come from all walks of life. You would do well to meet people outside of your comfort zone. You'll see it's not so scary, even if you disagree with them every once in a while. - AtHomeBoy2000, on 02/14/2008, -4/+43Hillary has no soul.
- Rioracer916, on 02/14/2008, -4/+43Maybe if I write her a letter she'll reconsider? I mean it's fair warning before she hands the 2008 election over to McCain after stealing it from Obama.
A super delegate was on NPR today talking about/praising Obama's momentum. Democrats who called into the show were saying that if the election is stolen by the super delegates or other means that they'll vote for McCain out of spite. Personally I'm planning to do the same thing. I'd rather have 4 years of Crazy McCain and live in bunker, than 8 years of Hillary and get taxed to death by her ridiculous social programs. - radink360, on 02/14/2008, -7/+43Great, she's going to pull a Bush and cheat.
- EarlOfLade, on 02/14/2008, -1/+34Don't blame Hillary for that, it's standard Secret Service procedures and she has no control over them.
- mtjohnson, on 02/14/2008, -0/+31For a case study, check out a guy named John Kerry...
- Coven, on 02/14/2008, -0/+30Please substantiate your claim that he is an ex-muslim. This should be rich, as it had been debunked ages ago.
- ScottOrwig, on 02/14/2008, -0/+28I live in Michigan. I voted under one set of (screwed up) rules. I would be SO ANGRY if the HRC team managed to change those rules AFTER THE VOTE. Do they think there is any chance I would vote in the general election for someone who cheated me like that?
It's a basic part of law, ethics, and children's playground games that you don't change the rules after the game has been played. The title of this submission is right. They really are ready to set fire to this party in a last-ditch attempt to win it.
Al Gore stepped aside for the good of the country, Hillary, even when he was sure he was in the right. Can you do the same? - ZenFountain, on 02/14/2008, -2/+30http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2lny3ut&s=3
^ That's why you should never "take a breather" in politics. Carter almost lost to Ford taking a breather. George H.W. Bush was supposed to cruise to victory against Clinton. Gore seemed to think he was going to ride coattails against George W. Bush. The Clintons may be a lot of things, but they are not are quitters. Obama has ran a skilled campaign and it would be a grave mistake to think for a moment that this is over, it's not over until an announcement. - Napoleone, on 02/14/2008, -5/+33The Michigan and Florida votes should not count. But they should definitely be held again.
It's in no way fair to disenfranchise the voters of two states just because the DNC is composed of morons. These are your neighbors, don't take away their right to have their voices heard. Let them have a chance to express their own private hopes for this country.
Both states should be allowed to hold a new primary, after both candidates get a chance to do some campaigning in each state. It's the right thing to do. - logicalnoise, on 02/14/2008, -1/+27except for those couple of polls showing that Obama would win against mccain if a general election was held now.
- GeorgeWKush, on 02/14/2008, -3/+28She's already stuck in quick sand. The more she struggles the sooner she dies.
- davidwasman, on 02/14/2008, -2/+23Well, crying didn't help so she's resorting to Self-immolation
- GoneGreen, on 02/14/2008, -3/+24She is as clueless as G.W. Nobody likes you, go away hillary.
- mt066, on 02/14/2008, -1/+22by getting themselves disqualified from the primaries
- mt066, on 02/14/2008, -4/+24If she got a legit win in the primaries I could vote for her but if she did win via superdelegates or getting the Florida/Michigan results added in, I'd seriously consider voting McCain. That would indeed be a giant douche vs. turd sandwich scenario.
- bigsteve, on 02/14/2008, -1/+21Yea! Look out world! Hillary's response to the "Yes We Can" video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FvyGydc8no
Reminds me of something my mother would do if she were running for president. I couldn't make it through 20 seconds of that video, and I watched 2girls1cup. - mrASSMAN, on 02/14/2008, -1/+21I agree, if their votes are to count, they need to at least hold new primaries first. Otherwise it would be criminal to assign them delegates.
- drachasor, on 02/14/2008, -0/+19Obama did get those commercials ok'd by the DNC. They were regional commercials, that aired in a number of states in that area. From what I understand Obama couldn't not air them in Florida. In contrast, Hillary had a number of fundraisers and other activities in Florida, including ones the week before the election -- these events were reported by the local media.
- ponyfreak, on 02/14/2008, -1/+20Sounds like Karl Rove is her new campaign manager
- SheilaNoya, on 02/14/2008, -0/+17Truck87bp - I'm not a "plant" or part of any "conspiracy" (which I know is a popular theme among the Ron Paul supporters). I'm a 57 year old grandmother who is disgusted with what has happened to America during the 7 dismal years of the Bush Administration. We need to turn this country around FAST if we're going to survive. Obama is the only candidate wanting to represent all of us and he has the best chance of bringing us together again. Hillary only talks about herself, and McCain only talks about representing the "conservatives" while he bashes everyone else.
I don't want a president who only represent 1/3 of the people. We already have that now and it is tearing this country apart.
I've listened carefully to each of the candidates and done my homework. I honestly believe that Obama has the best plans for America's future. I've seen a lot of presidents come and go, but no one has inspired people and offered them the kind of hope for their future like Obama does. I can only hope that people get over whatever prejudices they have and make the right choice now. I fear our country will be torn apart and completely bankrupt if they don't.
I love my country and I want to see it restored to the great nation it once was. Obama is the only one who is on track to make that a genuine possibility now.
I know you are a loyal supporter of Ron Paul, but the reality is that he will never be on the November ballot. It's time to decide whether our president will be Hillary, Obama, or McCain since they are the only choices we have now. Choose wisely. - norman619, on 02/14/2008, -0/+17No. She should accept the actual results. Trying to change things when she is loosing is classic Clinton underhandedness.
- radink360, on 02/14/2008, -2/+19Yeah because being a republican who hides behind a bible while screwing hookers or little boys is ok.
ass.hat. - laserdog, on 02/14/2008, -1/+18I've been a fan of the DFL since I was a kid. My father ran some very close races for a congressional seat, and I'm currently a delegate for our county caucus.
But before Obama came around, I was almost thinking that the Democratic party could use a mercy killing. They have been uninspiring and mute in their congressional majority, and seem fine to let the Bush administration do terrible things if it means that that the Republicans get hung politically.
So in my mind it's a win win. Either Obama wins and we get our first charismatic leader who doesn't accept corporate bribes in a long while. Or the democratic party implodes forever, making way for the formation of an alternative splinter party that is *actually* for progressives. - sponeil, on 02/14/2008, -0/+16I agree with SheilaNoya and drmangrum. A recent poll indicates that if Obama gets the democratic nomination, he will most likely be the next President, but if Hillary gets the nomination, McCain is more likely to be the next President. Based on that poll alone, Hillary should gracefully drop out of the race. Hillary would rather see the Democratic party lose than to see Obama win.
- bitspace, on 02/14/2008, -0/+15Her claim against holding the Michigan and Florida elections again is that evidently this is one of the considerations for the DNC, but they would be caucuses. Obama historically does much better in a caucus than she does, so "it isn't fair."
In my opinion this is by far the fairest of all solutions. Hold elections in those states with each candidate getting an equal shot at campaigning there if they so choose. - drmangrum, on 02/14/2008, -2/+17Ok, we can all agree Paul would be the better candidate. However, HE WONT GET THE REPUBLICAN NOMINATION! Stop with the Paul pumping already.
- gropo, on 02/14/2008, -1/+16The troll protests TOO much, methinks.
Seriously, if you want a good idea of how much the mouth breathers in America fear Obama's inevitable presidency, follow the nooo-troll's comments. - BrandonMills, on 02/14/2008, -2/+17Hillary, please remember that you only beat 'uncommitted' by 15% in Michigan. The only fair way to add Michigan back into the race would be to redo the primary with Obama on the ticket. I wouldn't assume that Michigan is really in your camp in the first place.
As for Florida, it's a harder case to make to redo the primary, but if it was redone today, I would expect drastically different results. Especially with all the momentum Obama has now. - Tenshi12, on 02/14/2008, -0/+14What I think is shady is the fact that she is considering running even if, sorry, when she loses to Obama. Give it up already Hillary.
- lewhich, on 02/14/2008, -0/+12You and I know that Obama will have the best advisers and experts .. because they will love to work with him to take our country in a new and better direction. There will be people who will reject unnecessary tax hikes, spending and ridiculous laws. You know very few will be able to stand Hilary or another puppet (McCain)
- mrASSMAN, on 02/14/2008, -3/+15Obama and Edwards weren't even on the ballot in Michigan, and they tried to get their names off the Florida ballot, but it was against the state rules.
- Firehed, on 02/14/2008, -1/+12I took 'incendiary' to mean that she'd try setting Obama on fire, presumably to grab the KKK vote.
- infinity777, on 02/14/2008, -2/+13***** YOU
- frontporsche, on 02/14/2008, -2/+13That was one of the first things that turned me off toward Bush... it was always "I ...".
