- jforjools, on 04/19/2008, -11/+251According to Hillary, ACTIVISTS (citizens who care) are BAD for the Dem party!
- sinocco, on 04/19/2008, -8/+185Shame on you Barack Obama! How dare you energize democratic voters! How dare you appeal to activists who turn out in great numbers! How dare you marginalize my big money backers and lobbyists! Shame on you BARACK OBAMA - YOU WINNER!
- kandiekizzes25, on 04/19/2008, -7/+169what the heck is she doing to the party??????
- ChristPissed, on 04/19/2008, -5/+151How dare us rabble-rousers look out for our own interests and not the elitists!
- Arishia, on 04/19/2008, -5/+107Lol!!!! MoveOn was originally formed to support Bill Clinton during his impeachment hearings!! She sure didn't object back then. The name meant, so he tapped Monica, we get it, let's MoveOn! to the business of the American people.
- jforjools, on 04/19/2008, -4/+98As a caucus goer, I've been frustrated by the Clinton 'take' on caucuses (which she's lost, big time.) She admits that the problem with caucuses is NOT that they're undemocratic (if that was true, they'd be supporting the party insider). What she thinks is a problem is what is actually GOOD about caucuses. In caucuses, the grassroots candidate has a chance--and it's not all about just name-recognition.
Caucus states have known this all along. - jforjools, on 04/19/2008, -4/+91She's also openly admitted that the problem with caucuses is that they're TOO DEMOCRATIC--letting citizen activists have too much say!!!!!
- peticsu, on 04/19/2008, -2/+68so young voters dont count, blacks dont count, and now Democratic activists dont count to Hillary
Other than republicans, who else supports Hillary? - cg4et, on 04/19/2008, -5/+67I'm sorry, Hillary. I didn't mean to vote my conscience. I should have just stayed home and let the inevitable candidate win.
- a237916, on 04/19/2008, -2/+46Not always, I don't seem recall her complaining when MoveOn.org organized with the sole mission to take the heat off her philandering husband. Where was your indignation then, Hillary?
- subtlesquire, on 04/19/2008, -4/+43This must be a new "super-secret" campaign strategy. Dis and Piss off a 3 million member base organization. Very crafty of her.
- trademork, on 04/19/2008, -6/+43There's no such thing as a closed-door anything anymore. The door is always open...
(except for the door to Hillary's campaign, which is just about to close) - tlphelps2000, on 04/19/2008, -4/+39Her comments were offensive to the entire democratic process. Caucuses are "too democratic"??? What a slap in the face for voters of every single caucus state!
I'm disappointed -- but not surprised. - jforjools, on 04/19/2008, -5/+39"The comments also contradict Clinton's previous statements praising this year's elevated Democratic turnout in primaries and caucuses, and appear to blame her caucus defeats on newly energized grassroots voter groups that she has lauded in the past as "lively participants" in American democracy."
SHAME ON YOU!! - queenofbabble, on 04/19/2008, -4/+37Does Hillary think she could ever win another election without activists to help her??
Talk about biting the hand that feeds...she is so dumb...and I remember a time when I thought she was just brilliant. Now? Not so much! - bharshav, on 04/19/2008, -3/+35Are we the same "activists" who supported Ned Lamont against Joe Lieberman? No wonder Hillary doesn't like us!
- life036, on 04/19/2008, -2/+32How dare people take action for a better future.
- diggeradoo, on 04/19/2008, -5/+33It's time for Hillary to Move On.
- diggeradoo, on 04/19/2008, -3/+29"But there's some irony in the scorn for MoveOn, whom Hillary courted and which was founded, after all, to save her husband from impeachment. What's striking here is the the "us" and "them" view -- the almost cultural scorn -- toward a section of the Democratic Party to whom, at times in the White House, Hillary was seen as the ambassador for the more conservative Bill." - Ben Smith, politico.com
- cobbwobbles, on 04/19/2008, -3/+24If by believing that making insurance companies an integral part of American universal health care just because they gave HRC a hard time in '92 and a ***** of cash in between is a bad idea, I'm an activist, then so be it. Just because I think that she's could at least TRY to wake up and smell the information age and use honesty as the base of her campaign rather than shoddy lies, I'm an activist, then so be it. I used to respect the years of service she gave to the feminists and democrats of this country, but in her old age, she has tried to find the middle ground, not by listening to all involved and using rational logic to find a compromise, but by swinging like a sickening pendulum back and forth between extreme views depending on who she thinks is listening. News Flash Hillary, everyone is always listening, it's called the Internets.
- osabek, on 04/19/2008, -2/+23This is the same woman that just accused Obama of whining, hypocrite
- zeroeffect, on 04/19/2008, -4/+25Now if only MSM would pick up on this one... nail in the coffin! Too bad they are more interested in dragging this out as long as they can.
- zelduh, on 04/19/2008, -7/+27What a jerk!
- Ajajadude, on 04/19/2008, -2/+22I hate it when the citizens of this country want a government "For the people..."
- Arishia, on 04/19/2008, -6/+26Uh..... not a team player, can't dunk, can't pass, no assists, too many fouls, and....she's officially lost her bloody mind!! LMAO This is really pathetic. Super Delegates, THIS WOMAN IS UN-ELECTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- zephyear, on 04/19/2008, -3/+23what's hilarious is MoveOn was founded to help her family during the impeachment years
- musikmann, on 04/19/2008, -2/+20"Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them." - Paul Valery
- motivatedmama, on 04/19/2008, -3/+20Last name. Period.
- voxlisa999, on 04/19/2008, -3/+20Here is an audio link of her praising them before she was against them! http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/4/18/203640/248
- badwithcomputer, on 04/19/2008, -5/+21life's a bitch. don't vote for one.
- omnithought, on 04/19/2008, -11/+27Hillary, go ***** yourself.
- CouchTomato, on 04/19/2008, -5/+21In other words - she pwned by the grassroots.
- marabout40, on 04/19/2008, -3/+19"At a small closed-door fundraiser..." sounds familiar? I am ROTFLMAO! Oh God I love it! LOL! Let's see HilLIARy squirm her way out of this one. What goes around, comes around. God does not like ugly. She loves to sling mud and point fingers and smear and malign other people's good character. Let's see how she handles it. Let's see what happens when her own statements are twisted and parsed and replayed over and over and over and over again on MSM until it becomes nauseating.
- inactive, on 04/19/2008, -2/+18The name of the article scared me.
- kelalo, on 04/19/2008, -4/+19I think Hillary should make some wine out of her sour grapes, and toast to Senator Obama FTW.
- bullcutter, on 04/19/2008, -3/+18Howard Wolfson FTA: "There have been well documented instances of intimidation in the Nevada and the Texas caucuses, and it is a fact that while we have won 4 of the 5 largest primaries, where participation is greatest, Senator Obama has done better in caucuses than we have."
And its also a fact that you're still down by close to a million votes Howard, despite your impressively manipulated presentation of the statistics. The people have spoken. They don't want Hillary up against McCain. Now quit wasting everybody's time and go home -- I'm sure there's another con artist out there who needs a P.A. - GhostyBoy, on 04/19/2008, -2/+16Seriously, WHY the ***** is she still in this?
- Caalro, on 04/19/2008, -2/+16It couldn't be that they don't want you to be the next president... that would just be silly.
- Jeffler, on 04/19/2008, -2/+15Cool, I actually never knew that. Makes sense and I LOL in Hillary's general direction.
- motivatedmama, on 04/19/2008, -2/+15Miss "Every vote should count" unless it disagrees with her plans. Two faced backstabbing bitch.
- Shaman760, on 04/19/2008, -4/+16Wow she just alienated a ***** of people there......
Who needs GWB when you have Hillary? - jforjools, on 04/19/2008, -2/+13Yeah, I hope this is the beginning of the end for her Senate seat. Out!!
- FrenchAnarchy, on 04/19/2008, -3/+14I don't believe George is able to run again, actually.
- dxgg, on 04/19/2008, -4/+14Dugg for using "rabble-rousers" in a sentence.
- Phoenix462, on 04/19/2008, -2/+12middle aged women.
- motivatedmama, on 04/19/2008, -2/+12Ahhhh My man Olbermann! He gave it a mention tonight to get the ball rolling.
- altgeeky1, on 04/19/2008, -1/+11Those who support Hillary are the same people who say "prove it", when you say "that's just a ***** rumor" (referring to these haters who insist Obama is a 'Muslim')
- alyceclover, on 04/19/2008, -3/+12Excellent article; especially the part about Wolfson. She said in her debate she hoped she demonstrated that I can count on her. I do not recall what petitions I signed at Move On, but she knows how Code Pink feels and she does not agree. So the only people she cares about are those who agree with her, when she should be willing to do our bidding. (not that "we" can ever agree....) Her caucus complaints annoy; how long has she been in government and never did a darn thing to change something she feels so unfair?
- alyceclover, on 04/19/2008, -2/+11Excellent observation. But I think she has been like this from the start. First she was a Republican, backed Goldwater, who was against Civil Rights Act 1964; then she swung over to the Democrats. She was all for Iraq; now blames other people for her vote. Last August she said she will continue to take lobbyist money; now she is going to fight them on our behalf...
Any number of times she switches her opinion. I also do not know what she has done for the feminism movement. She defended a rapist by painting a 12 year old girl as a vixen who came on to him. She runs to Bill to defend her when "the boys are beating me up" or the press is picking on her. She was a corporate lawyer, not involved in issues relating to helping females; she talks about Bill's ladies equating them to "trailer park trash" and any female that does not vote for her is considered a betrayer, sexist, misogynist.
The point of feminism is females have a brain and do not vote because of gender or "oh, I like her dress". -
