- inactive, on 10/17/2007, -18/+116The sweet irony is, by this logic, Iranian forces will invade the occupied Iraq to destroy the US troops and private armies (Blackwater, deserving the fate) and pulverize State of Israel with the torrent of missiles and mines.
And the big clinch is there's Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Russia and China will not stand idly by.
World War III is a very real possibility, and this time USA and Israel ARE the bad guys. - CloakandSwagger, on 10/10/2007, -5/+81In America, we'd like to believe that we fight wars to protect and preserve our way of life and ensure peaceful relations throughout the world.
However, it appears we've only been fighting wars to preserve a way of fighting more wars and isolating ourselves from the rest of the world.
When will it end?
When will Americans realize that these wars aren't engineered with the interest of preserving freedom (see The Patriot Act, The death of Habeas Corpus (HR 6166), and NSPD51), rather they're designed to rebuild the military industrial complex, secure a geopolitical foothold over a foreign region and its natural resources, replace American Sovereignty with the North American Union, and advance an agenda that seeks to establish globalization by way of unilateral force rather than peaceful change.
We are on the verge of something major.
I hope everybody is awake and prepared. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+51U think the Iraqis are resisting, watch till you see the Iranians…..60 million of them! U.S and/or Israel bombing Iran will be the biggest mistake in recent history! And like the dollar, this country will do down the tubes.
- Dumbledorito, on 10/10/2007, -1/+30I'm wondering if I should start outfitting my Honda with spikes and banners in preparation for the "fuel wars," or if I should just declare my house "Thunderdome" so I can have a job in the entertainment biz after the apocalypse?
- quaxon, on 10/17/2007, -4/+32and the irony is we call them terrorists for attempting to defend themselves.
- StaticThunder, on 10/10/2007, -4/+28***** you skyscape. You can't gloss over the sins of the US by just yelling liberal over and over and over. If the USA's foreign policy as it stands now is what CONSERVATIVES want, then YOU are the enemy of the people. And I love how you invoked Vietnam, as if that was a success story, and the high point in U.S. intelligence, foresight, and even-handedness.
I'm looking forward to a war in Iran, because it will mark the end of the current era of U.S. governmental arrogance, and maybe a return to democratic principles and smaller government (once the current one is completely bankrupt and the dollar worthless). I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't Bush's plan all along. - torched, on 10/10/2007, -2/+25Oh yes, the Shiite led government of Iraq will support us 100%. They will probably name statues after Bush and Cheney, right?
- KungFuJesus, on 10/10/2007, -5/+27Trust me, israel can handle themselves if iran attaks them. Iran is in the process of getting nukes, while isreal already has them, along with a powerful army.
- shabumike, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23Possibly the biggest mistake in all history.
- Arcotik, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22An eye for an eye until the whole world goes blind. ~Ghandi
- subterfuge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22has anyone else noticed that the offensive side has had a history of losing? WWI: Austria-Hungary+Friends lost, WWII: Germany+Friends lost, Vietnam, Korean, and Iraq wars: America lost.
- danasghar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+191.Afganistan 2. Iraq 3. Iran 4. Syria....come on guys, the script was written over 6 years ago. Its inevitable.
- Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17so when Cheney and Bush are giving you an ass reaming, how does it feel? Do you follow up with giving them a blow job, or do you start them off with one?
When you do not question those in power, you are as bad as those who "rule". There is nothing Anti-American in what he says. You just don't like it, because he doesn't like war and does not like America being the aggressor. The problem is, when you are the aggressor, you're in the wrong. To preserve our American way of life, we need to start here, not abroad. While we use foreign wars to protect our "way of life", we allow our leaders here to destroy it.
"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. " ~ James Madison.
Please do yourself a favor and look at what the foundling fathers stated about our country and how they expected it to be run, then do yourself another favor and look at how things are done today. If you see that its ok, then you sir are the Anti American, you sir are the traitor, you sir are the one who seeks to destroy our way of life. And you, along with those currently in office (democrat or republican) deserve to be brought up on charges of treason and the violating the Constitution.
although I respect your right to your own opinion, because America grants it to you, it does not mean that 1.) you are right 2.)I have to agree. And further more, with comments like you've stated as well as others stating similar comments, you sir, and the others, disgust me. And before you say, "then i should leave", no sir, I will not. This is my country, I for one want it to run in accordance to how the founding fathers set it up. I am neither democrat or republican, I am an American, who cherishes how his founding fathers set up a way of government and life, that has blessed me and yourself with privledge.
If, sir, you choose , to scoff at my remarks to your comments and dismiss them as "liberal propaganda", then you should do yourself a third favor and read on how and why this country was founded. This country was built to question itself and the intentions of those in control, to do anything less is to be an Anti-American.
Now I understand that you probably see no fault with your comments, but remember, those currently in power see no fault in what they have done in IRAQ, and what they are posturing themselves to do in IRAN. That will be the down fall of this country. When we make this a "them vs us" in our OWN country, we are going the way of the Romans and any society that sits back and allows that to happen, deserves what comes to it. - subterfuge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18also, america pumps military hardware into Israel through an IV
- Battleloser, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23Iran can't win a conventional war, not against America.
- alittleroy101, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18You are an ***** if you're looking forward to a war in Iran.
- nwoantibody, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18Flee the US, come to Canada if you can. If you have even more money, flee to Denmark. Leave this cursed continent. The NWO is moving it's bases to Dubai. Halliburton has moved there. Everyone in the Bush admin is buying houses there and moving there, Dick Cheney included. They destroyed the nation, then go retire peacefully. Won't be the first time this happens in human history. Protect yourself and your family, and always remember, so that in the future you can render justice to all those who couldn't afford leaving the falling appart US.
- tonycomputerguy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Bush is just dying to put his flight suit on again and land on another carrier. You know he's always running around the oval office with his arms out yelling 'zoom zoom zoom!' "Heh... I can't win in Iraq, so let's bomb the ***** out of Iran and call it Mission Accomplished, get me some socks so I can shove them down my flight suit again..."
America! ***** YEAH!!! - jessehadden, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Somehow, I think invading Iran would result in a breaking point here at home. A lot of people are on the edge. There's a general recognition that the public doesn't support this war, or anything really that the American government is doing right now. 1,000 people just tried to serve a citizen's arrest on Bush. Contrary to the media-blackout, more people have protested this guy than any other leader in the history of humanity. If Bush tries to start another war, with such obvious apocalyptic overtones, I have a feeling he will find he has stretched too far. And I wouldn't be surprised if the first reaction came from within the military, with soldiers (and maybe even a few officers with a conscience) refusing to execute their orders -- just as they would be morally obligated to.
- leunghoi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Here is the New Yorker's story by Hersh. Digg it up!
http://digg.com/world_news/Annals_of_National_Secu ... - subterfuge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12it can be surmised that a bigger mistake was not making the president elected by popular vote. that way bush wouldnt have been elected, and we would not only have prevented the iranian war but also the iraq war and possibly even the afghanistan war and september 11.
- StaticThunder, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13I'm looking forward to a revolution, and the return of accountability iin government. Things can't get better until they hit the average U.S. citizen in his food budget and he watches his children get drafted to fight counterproductive wars. Right now he sitting on his ass watching reruns of baywatch.
You've had 40 years to vote for change, and yet only 20% of you gave a ***** enough to vote, and most of them are single issue voters. You've gotten the government you deserve, and I want to see it through. You're afraid enough of Moslems to vote to kill them? Good. Lets see who wins. - supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Get the troops out of Iraq, out of harms way in an evil war, return them to the states and out of harms way. Iraq has never threatened the United States militarily. Iraq troops have never killed a single American, except when they were defending THEIR country at the onset of the "Iraq War". They are innocents who happen to live in a country which has a ***** of oil your evil leaders want.
***** your evil leaders, get rid of them. They are ***** up your country, your country's reputation and everything that you hold dear. Don't listen to the ***** they shovel at you. Impeach. Imprison. - KungFuJesus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12lol, gtfo troll
- alacrity2005, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10More likely when you hired sockpuppets stop spreading lies and anti-American propaganda against real Americans speaking out against this failed and unjust policy masquerading as a "war."
- mikeyeah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9@skyscape
You are insane. Please do not procreate. - supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Once the US is gone, with tail between legs all that will be left is millions of people who HATE you and wish you to be wiped off the planet.
Don't be mad at them, if Iraq bombed the ***** out of your country and killed your sister, brother, mother or father or girlfriend you would also be pretty pissed. It's human nature. - rarson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9You can tell someone's full of ***** when they accuse something of being "anti-American." As if questioning your government is at all anti-American!
- JonForTheWin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9The Gulf Of Tonkin Incident was a hoax, it's declassified. The Military Industrial Complex's foot soldier, the US government, started that war.
- riggs32, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10honestly, if we start any ***** with iran im getting the ***** out of america. i dont wanna be on the recieving end of the ***** that will ensue
- Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I got one better, everyone calling for war in IRAN, goes there first, troll.
Then after you've ***** yourself, and pissed yourself a few times, and then call your mommy to come pick you up. We send you on another tour. Then we do this 15 more times. And when....I'm sorry, If you come back, you can get a nice cushy job as a grocery bagger.
And if, I'm sorry, Since you're a troll, I feel that obligates you to go anyway. I'm sure the military will get your pimple faced, fat ass in shape in no time. - kevinwiz, on 10/10/2007, -4/+122002 wants its anti-war joke back.
- Typhoon2009, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8TWO MEN ENTER, ONE MAN LEAVES
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7You know the world is crazy when:
* The best rapper is a white guy,
* The best golfer is a black guy,
* The Swiss hold the America's cup,
* France is accusing the U.S.A of arrogance,
* Germany doesn't want to go to war,
* Russia is the best source of honest war reports. - MWeather, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Who said anything about Iran fighting conventionally? With all those mountains, it's going to be fun!
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7don't be so sure. lieberman is just as much of a war hawk.
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8The Hersh story was very telling. Failing to get American support behind their *****, the administration is toning down their rhetoric to something they can get more Americans to believe and is just going to go in guns blazing and let things shake out in the end. The irony is that Iran poses no threat to the United States at all, and is nothing but an obstacle to US control of Iraq.
It was never about defense. It was always about power, and the administration is showing it quite clearly. - InetRoadkill, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Hersh has been spot on far more reliably than the so-called experts currently controlling our foreign policy.
- wakananda, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6What do they have to lose? We're about to rape them and rob them. They have some interesting missile technology also; I'm not seeing sufficient awareness of this in the public discussion, at any level. Our carriers are going to be *****. Israel might nuke them, but only after taking some devastating hits - and that means blood in the water... Why is there no corporate media discussion of the alliance between china and russia? Iran represents a huge investment of Russian capital. If they don't jump into the fight when we invade Iran, they will thereafter be waiting for the opportunity - and justifiably so.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Would you say that if Iran could strike back and kill your brothers and sisters and mother and father? It's easy to say "Bomb Iran" because Iran has little or no way to strike back at YOU because you are not a soldier in the US army and will not be in harms way while eating doritos and surfing the net. If Iran could shoot bombs and blow up your house and kill your friends and family you wouldn't be so ***** willing to say "bomb bomb Iran" would you? You ***** pussy. Stop being so willing to sacrifice American lives and the lives of your troops for a ***** war. The troops deserve more than that.
The last thing the US needs is another 65 million (the population of Iran) pissed off and wanting to kill as many Americans as they can.
Stop watching CNN you ***** sheep. - pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7there is such a thing as learning from history. the same rhetoric being used against iran by the administration and the media was used to go to war with iraq. fool me... you can't get fooled again.
- FongoBongo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Wow...thanks for getting on the neocon wagon you ***** tool. Thanks for calling this American "Anti-American" for having a view that is different from the war mongering norm. I suppose if this guy was beaten and thrown into jail for his opinion you wouldn't care either. You'd probably dismiss him as some terrorist. You are the epitome of a neocon's wet dream.
- kufu91, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7if the enemy is the constitution and the people of the united states, then i will die for treason (sorry for the dramatics)
- themayorpwns, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Have you ever heard of our current government telling us the truth?
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Join the army and then repost your comment, you pussy. The troops are sick of being in a ***** war in Iraq and now you want them to die in Iran as well?
These are UNWINABBLE wars because the US will NOT nuke the ***** out of these countries mostly because that would ruin the oil they are going in for. They have to FIGHT on the ground and streets, which is unwinabble. - alittleroy101, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8You want Iranians to die? Get a life. Yeah I voted, and not for any of these jackasses in power right now. Last I checked, more than 20% of this country voted.
Wanting to end our ***** government is enough, wanting to kill more foreigners, civilians, and people unrelated to the USA is an *****'s point of view.
So yeah, you're an *****. - facewarts, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Looks like Hillary will hit Iran too !
Hillary Clinton calls Iran a threat to U.S., Israel
The Associated Press
Published: February 1, 2007
NEW YORK: Calling Iran a danger to the U.S. and one of Israel's greatest threats, U.S. senator and presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said "no option can be taken off the table" when dealing with that nation.
"U.S. policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons," the Democrat told a crowd of Israel supporters. "In dealing with this threat ... no option can be taken off the table." - BlackCow, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6I don't think he men't to be an ***** even though he was.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7They already are. The middle east hates you (mostly because of your deposing the shaw in Iran years ago and the Iraq war), Europe hates you because they see you are becoming much like the Nazis and pretty much the rest of the world hates you because of your foreign policy in general. Mostly, Americans have no idea what America is doing overseas because of the ***** education system.
They are very pissed at you and most Americans have no idea why, much like Nazis had no idea that the world was going to ***** them up big time in the war.
Impeach, Imprison before you become Nazi germany. History tells us that evil never wins. - NnyCW, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If I've learned anything from history, he won't be taken out until he starts preaching peace.
