- sheeplescareme, on 04/04/2009, -5/+76they're all in bed with each other. washington and wall street - where the crooks and criminals thrive.
- jleopold, on 04/04/2009, -4/+67Summers should have never been tapped by Obama. The fact that he is heavily invested in hedge funds and is now advising Obama on whether they should be regulated smacks of a conflict of interest. Oh, and Summers helped create this mess back in 2000 by getting the Enron loophole pushed through.

- inactive, on 04/04/2009, -9/+38Obama and his people are completely in the thrall of Wall Street.
Check out this video that I believe was made by our friend emazur http://digg.com/business_finance/Why_is_Obama_so_b ... - MercyPolitics, on 04/04/2009, -4/+28Summers and Geithner come from the same Wall Street's culture they are supposed to reform. We are in need of people that can think outside of the box, it is kind of hard to do when you are...in the box. Summers belong to the self described " master of the universe" financial elite. What I find also disturbing is the fact that this news was released in the Friday slot, in typical Washington style, hoping it would get as little attention as possible. This illustrates, once again, the desperate need that we have for a viable political alternative to the two parties system.
- quaxon, on 04/05/2009, -4/+23the sad thing is all the brainwashed dolts will still continue to support this obvious puppet because it's still the cool thing to do and americans love their trends as much as their cheeseburgers. He may have only been in office for two months, but prior to that (his time in the senate) he sided with bush on nearly every major legislation and since his time in office he managed to fill his cabinet with all wall street elite bilderberg types, and has continued nearly everything the bush administration was doing. when are you idiots gonna wake up and realize what the ***** going on? everything oldskool said is correct, and to still be supporting obama makes you the same as the 23% who supported bush that you guys loved to bash so much.
- mollydog12, on 04/04/2009, -3/+19good to see that the game still thrives even though we've changed the players. we are an oligarchy not a democrasy. we may vote, but the ruling class remains the same.
- oldskoolpatriot, on 04/04/2009, -29/+44Say it with me
Obama is like Bush as he has voted every time to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Obama is like Bush because his first move was to start bombing Pakistan a sovereign nation under Bush Doctrine.
Obama is like Bush because he is Up 21,000 Troops in Afghanistan and has no time table for withdrawal and continues to nation build on the back of the American.
Obama is Like Bush because he has increased our military budget for 2009 9% over W
Obama is Like Bush because he supports FISA and will not repeal it.
Obama is Like Bush because he continues to Use the UnPatriot Act as President
Obama is like Bush because he continues to Support NAFTA (government managed Trade that allows the rich to exploit 3rd world countries at the expense of our own American entrepreneurs).
Obama is like Bush as he has already renewed faith based initiatives in his term allowing the federal government to decide what marriage and social matters are.
Obama is like Bush as he continues to use the NSA for "watching" American civilians
Obama is like Bush as he has bailout out Wall Street with our money.
Obama is like Bush because he believes in the degenerative theory of Keynesian Economics forcing it upon our society. We cannot spend your way into wealth.
Obama is like Bush as he is leaving troops in 140+ countries and 700 Military bases around the world at the expense of the American tax payer.
Obama is like Bush in keeping us in the UN rather then voicing American sovereignty. He is another globalist just like W.
Obama is like Bush As he continues to Use Homeland security instead of allowing states to use the money to meet their own needs as they see fit.
Obama is like Bush as he continues to renew Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America aka NAU
Obama is like Bush as they both believe in coerced charity to Israel, Pakistan and other nations rather then honest diplomacy.
Obama is like Bush as they are both phony Christians
Obama is like Bush as he too is a Neo-Con advocating the ends justify the means, that Nation building is a necessity. Military Support for Israel is a Must and perpetual growth for the welfare state by the Federal Government is a good thing.
Obama is like Bush as they both do not know how to run an economy let alone fix one.
Obama is like Bush as he will use the unFederal Reserve to massively inflate and deflate our money supply, giving the government the power to buy up everything for pennies on the dollar.
Obama is like Bush as he too will continue to grow the role of the Federal government in our lives.
Obama is like Bush as he continues to keep marijuana illegal while fighting the endless war on drugs and expanding our Prison system population -- Which I believe just came out that 1 in 31 Americans are now part of.
Look at Obama’s Cabinet – Change?? LMAO
By their actions you shall know them.. Same bunch of Clinton and Bush Criminals! - i38warhawk, on 04/05/2009, -1/+14More like Corporate controlled Fascism = Government

- quaxon, on 04/05/2009, -3/+14No kidding, nearly every single one of obamas cabinet appointments is someone who represents wallstreet. not to mention that everyone in the administration has ties to bilderberg and CFR, Yet people are still so brainwashed they wont even question it and still act like he is some kind of driving force of good rather than just another puppet.
- allowners, on 04/05/2009, -2/+11Corporate controlled Government = Corporatism.
- deema1, on 04/05/2009, -1/+10Don't forget about this gem...
"As he prepared to take a job in the White House at the end of last year, David Axelrod sold the political consulting firm that helped elect President Barack Obama for $2 million to a group of consultants who helped steer Obama’s campaign."
Nothing crooked to see there either.

- hmphargh, on 04/05/2009, -5/+11But the Obama administration won't get lynched. Double standard, perhaps?
- faskippy, on 04/05/2009, -1/+6No, change we can MAKE believe in.

- thedeadwalrus, on 04/06/2009, -0/+4DID YOU KNOW: Geithner is using shell companies as middlemen to avoid the executive compensation rules for bailed out firms? This is about as underhanded as it gets.
"They are basically trying to launder the money to avoid complying with the plain language of the law," said David Zaring, a former Justice Department attorney who defended the government from lawsuits involving related legal issues.
Get this to the front page:
http://digg.com/business_finance/Obama_Using_Middl ... - inactive, on 04/06/2009, -1/+5So basically, the guy who pressed Clinton to sign the dreaded Gramm-Leach-Bliley act (which the left claims is the reason why the economy collapsed) made millions consulting to the very companies who the left claim took advantage of the repeal of the Glass-Steagel act?
And the left is defending this all because it is an Obama advisor now?
Holy *****. - prophecy0, on 04/05/2009, -1/+5No new tax cuts for anyone? That's funny, because I had an extra $65 on my last paycheck due to the ARRA tax cuts.

http://www.ronpaul.com/2009-04-01/ron-pauls-bill-t ... - SaviorOne, on 04/05/2009, -2/+5The entire financial system, our economy and the bailout are a big Ponze scheme in the process of collapsing. It has nothing to do with Republican vs. Conservatives--they're all the same they're after power and money. If you want to really understand what's going on, you should watch these short videos (here's part 1):

It might save your future. - Logrusmage, on 04/05/2009, -3/+6If this were a Republican advisor, the outrage would have been much greater. Other than that, I don't particularly care. This kind of ***** is to be expected in government. Which is why I'm against giving government any kind of real power over business (they usually HELP corporations by raising barriers to entry with regulation, something the left refuses to believe it's doing with it's good intentions).
Whatever. - brid57, on 04/05/2009, -1/+4It is only an adviser, they were not campaign funders they are just paid a little on the side by Obama to give their opinions to him...

People who are successful =RICH

- ganymede2010, on 04/05/2009, -2/+4Unfortunately there's never any new talent that we the people can recruit and employ in Wall Street. Wall Street is a Billionaire's boys club where the talent is recycled Administration after Administration.
- Rothbardosaurus, on 04/06/2009, -0/+2Obama's a Wall Street goon. The sooner everyone realizes he's a puppet for the global banksters trying to quite literally take over the world, the better off we'll be.
- dvnt1, on 04/05/2009, -1/+3You're right, and we have no one to blame but ourselves...
- deema1, on 04/05/2009, -3/+5They've all been paid off hundreds of times over. The question is when will people start to care? Doesn't it bother people most of any administration is made up of people who were not elected to their post and who don't truly have to answer to the public? How can people not be outraged that the government is on the take? I think people would be if they found out what their true agenda is. Liberals who believe that the Democrats truly care about the plight of them and the little guy are delusional. In Washington, Republican or Democrat, it's 99% about them.
- lhbaker, on 04/05/2009, -4/+6The Right seems absolutely disappointed that Obama and his cabinet are not, as they keep insisting, SOCIALISTS. There is no mention of wrongdoing or corruption in this story. The numbers were released by the Whote House, and the money was earned based on work and investments. Please, spare us the hypocrisy.
- deema1, on 04/06/2009, -0/+2For helping to get Obama in office, Axelrod's company was purchased by the company that managed Obama's campaign. He personally pocketed millions and was given a high-level post. That's called a payoff.
- WasabiBomb, on 04/05/2009, -0/+2Um... so... what did he do that was actually illegal?
- ShirenHou, on 04/06/2009, -0/+2This just adds further to a professional record already covered with egregious mishap and error. Summers was extensively involved in the ruination of Russia's fledgling free-market economy in the 1990's through the careless privatization of state-owned companies, and spared no efforts or scruples in defending pals like Andrei Schleifer when they same under fire for dubious dealings. Then there were the string of accusations of racism and sexism throughout his academic career, culminating in his resignation as Harvard President in 2006.
Here is a quote from a memo that Summers wrote to a colleague in 2001, while working at the World Bank:
"I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that . . . I've always thought that under-populated countries in Africa are vastly underpolluted." - govtdoesnotwork, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va& ...
"Last month, a little-known company where Summers served on the board of directors received a $42 million investment from a group of investors, including three banks that Summers, Obama’s effective “economy czar,” has been doling out billions in bailout money to: Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley. The banks invested into the small startup company, Revolution Money, right at the time when Summers was administering the “stress test” to these same banks. ..."
I'm inspired. - boombye, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1States set the Tax on Cigs. I don't know what Obama has to do with your state raising the tax on Cigs just like my state did.
- FrozenPie, on 04/05/2009, -2/+3Not really big news, all of this was expected
Anyways I'm going back to sleep, wake me up when ***** hits the fan - wineinc, on 04/06/2009, -0/+1I dugg you up too. But you are being too generous when you call them morons. I'll grant that their brains do not operate at normal capacity. But these reptards aren't just honestly stupid or underinformed. They have an agenda of stupidity that they are pushing to reinstate the theoretical underpinnings of the idiocracy that got us into this mess over the last eight+ years.
- DreamADream, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1I agree with Rothbardosaurus. When will most people realize they are puppets and that there is a larger power controlling them they just love the power they are granted to go along with it. But they are scared changes are taking place to rock their world.

- WasabiBomb, on 04/05/2009, -0/+1If the Obama campaign had hired someone from outside of Wall Street, they would've been accused of hiring someone with "zero experience". And rightly so.
