Think about it, if you said "you are a ***** bitch" to your wife, in public, would she take it as a joke (or the witnesses)? Now consider that calling her a ***** is much worse. Just to back it up further, the witnesses said he was obviously angry. It wasn't sarcasm, he called his wife a ***** because he felt she insulted him. Yeah, he overreacted, but that's the point.
