- PunkRampant, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I tried dialing twice (first choice was Paul, second was McCain) and the second time was rejected. "You've already voted, thanks for participating."
Hannity is being delusional as always. Ron Paul's support is very real. - diggerydood, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I've seen several Ron Paul bumper stickers all ready. Have even received Ron Paul "Hope for America" flyer at my house. He might not be the perfect candidate, but it's really refreshing to have honest discussions about the consititution and how this country should be for the people.
- iching, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3What is Ron Paul's understanding of media consolidations and corporate monopolies?
I think he calls that 'free enterprise' and advocates no regulations on the 'market system'?
I like some of his stuff on the constitution but he is lacking on some fundamental philosophical and societal responsibilities that his advocacy has enabled this kind of falsehood of a poll and alternate reality of the truth. - PeppermintPig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Corporations are not free market enterprises. Societal responsibilities? You mean entitlements? No thanks.
- PeppermintPig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Companies should really only go public if they have public trust. If stockholders don't have sway, they should sell their stock. It sounds to me that Ron was refusing to permit a certain group of people an entitlement to profits. More information might be useful here, but it seems consistent with the non-intervention approach... Ron is outnumbered by people who WOULD give advantages to corporations and remove their liability to individuals. Not saying it's right, but there really isn't an easy fix with such a stacked deck other than to work with businesses that do play fair.
- iching, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1He Voted NO on allowing stockholder voting on executive compensation. Now realize what that means,
he said stockholders have no rights to decide that, you must realize what his type of capitalism he supports and it is not a responsibly to the earth or the shareholders of this planet.
His votes on corporations and the environment reflect that.
I still respect him more than any other republican candidate out there.
