- isamuelson, on 10/28/2008, -0/+9Oh, so it's not a hate crime against white women and men, but if it were Obama, it WOULD be a hate crime I bet?
Sheesh. - ericcarroll, on 10/28/2008, -0/+8Interesting how it's fine to do something that is obviously hateful towards someone and they can't at all classify it as a hate crime. However, if you had Obama in place of Palin, the media would be talking about through November 4th.
The people that typically use 'hate crime' the most are typically the ones that are also crying wolf about racists. The Democrats always seem to think it's okay to be hateful, lie, etc. if it benefits them and, yes, I've seen it done from both sides, but the left seems more vindictive.
My wife's grandparents were recently on vacation, out of state, when they stopped in somewhere to grab a bite to eat. There were a couple of men that were out campaigning for Obama. Without having spoken to them, they made sure to break off the antenna of his car before they left (someone saw them). He didn't have a political sticker on his vehicle, just a Texas license plate. This is the type of senseless behavior I've come to expect from the left. - raggsat98, on 10/28/2008, -0/+4I guess it's time. I make up a little "art" of my owm !
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+3Already is so - look it up online. Some students hung a cardboard cutout of Obama and were both punished by the school and investigated by the FBI under the Hate Crimes Statutes.
- ericcarroll, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1That's the thing, though. They didn't have a McCain sticker on their vehicle, etc. All they had was their generic, Texas license plate.
Now if they had a McCain sticker on their car, I'm sure they would have done further damage. That seems to be their MO: "If I don't like where you're from, a little property destruction will do. If I know who you support, a lot is certainly justifiable." - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1I feel so sorry for your wife's grandparents. It is a shame that without saying a word to the grandparents, someone from the Obama campaign took it for granted they were on McCain's side. I bet if they were on Obama's side they soon switched. You are right, this is the type of behavior we will ALL get if the "choosen one" is elected.
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1It is racist to hang a black man in efficy, but ok to hang a white woman in effigy. We are on the brink of giving an untested man the keys to kingdowm and all because people are afraid to insult him for fear of being labled racist.
Make sure you get out and vote on Nov 4th, Republican all the way, we need to stop a Democratic congress as much as a we need to stop Obama. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1Wasn't a woman arrested for saying to an Obama pollster "I won't vote for Obama because he kills babies"...you know the rest of the story. The police didn't wait one second to investigate or listen to her side of the story. I classify this blatant action as a threat to Sarah Palin's life...so come on police arrest this idiot.
Those of you who can stretch the truth to call this "free speech" I would like to ask...how would you like your mother or father hung in effigy in front of someones house as a joke? Not funny right? You would demand the police arrest them? So what is difference? - spiderbaby, on 10/28/2008, -0/+0Just think, if Obama becomes president, disagreeing with him could be twisted into "racism". Making political signs to protest his administration could be deemed a "hate crime". And if Obama/Biden don't like the questions they get from the public or journalists, they will "ban you". Like the Beatles song..."Back in the U.S.S.R.!"
