- macwisdom, on 03/14/2008, -17/+287Yep! Tha'st right! And you know what ?? They work for the US government, the military industrial complex, an the media!
- ubernoggin, on 03/14/2008, -3/+208I'm a terrorist. Don't tell anyone.
- mcla0181, on 03/14/2008, -8/+192When people fear their government, it is tyranny. When people fear each other, it is anarchy.
When a government fears its people, it is a good government. - inactive, on 03/14/2008, -2/+139So this is proof that Homeland Security is a joke... This list is way over the top. The definition of terrorist is becoming anyone that disagrees with government policy or does not support the war mongers in office. Pathetic.
- Tomboys, on 03/14/2008, -1/+132The sad thing is that just by making a jke like that they will probably add you to the list.
- Winston84, on 03/14/2008, -5/+99You see ? Osama was right, Americans ARE terrorists !
Oh the irony, what Osama couldn't do in a million years, kill freedom and replace it with fascism, USA does all by itself . - bxblox, on 03/14/2008, -3/+75Dear ubernoggin,
Thank you for your honesty, but we're going to waterboard you just to make sure.
Sincerely,
FBI - daFilms, on 03/14/2008, -1/+68Everyone is a suspect!
...U.S. Sen. Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy said yesterday that he was stopped and questioned at airports on the East Coast five times in March because his name appeared on the government's secret "no-fly" list...via http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A170 ...
What happens to 'terrorists' ... Taxi to the Dark Side.
http://digg.com/movies/Taxi_to_the_Dark_Side_2007 - h4mx0r, on 03/14/2008, -3/+65There's one in the white house.
- MasterThief117, on 03/14/2008, -2/+62I think they are confused. I think they mean 1 in every 1 White House official is a terrorist.
- LordSkywalker, on 03/14/2008, -2/+56Whadda ya know? My town of 40,000 residents must be a secret terrorist cell.
- bmc31190, on 03/14/2008, -3/+55digg me up if youre a terrorist
- inactive, on 03/14/2008, -0/+48Really i thought we were all terrorist because they read our email, listen to our calls, and monitor our every move.
- sumrandommember, on 03/14/2008, -1/+45By that definition our founding fathers were terrorists.
- Skitzzo, on 03/14/2008, -13/+53It's an interesting article although the title of the submission is slightly misleading. 1 in 300 are on the terrorist watch list and that's assuming the numbers continued to grow at the same rate as they were last year. I think the bigger point to be made here is how horribly bloated this list is, making it ineffective, not that the government somehow considers 1 in 300 residents to be terrorists.
- slowmo, on 03/14/2008, -3/+37tHE U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) defined terrorism as: “The calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.”
By definition, here is an example of terrorism; "I'm going to waterboard your ass if you don't do what I say." - NighthawkBlack, on 03/14/2008, -6/+40Ignorant yuppies actually amplify the destruction of our liberty and freedom. Keep drinking the kool-aid brotha, the government LOVES you.
- JBmtk, on 03/14/2008, -3/+37You mean 1 in 300 work for the Bush Administration
- joot2112, on 03/14/2008, -0/+33Someone please tell me why Cat Stevens wasn't allowed in the U.S. If our government has enough evidence to warrant banning him from entering the country, shouldn't they let the public know, so that citizens can stop unwittingly funding a terrorist by buying his albums? Give me a ***** break -- that peace train hippy is no threat.
- dood, on 03/14/2008, -0/+33The last thing our government wants now is to have a bunch of revolutionaries who would go on to be called "founding fathers".
- NightVortez, on 03/14/2008, -0/+31Kind of a misquote...
"When the government fears the people, there is liberty; when the people fear the government, there is tyranny." -Thomas Jefferson
Wait, you were quoting V for Vendetta? - Hangly, on 03/14/2008, -0/+30If everyone is on the list the list becomes worthless.
- l33tspam, on 03/14/2008, -2/+32Funny thing is how people assume that the ones badmouthing our terrorism policy are the ones clamoring to get into America...
Don't assume every one in a country has the same opinion. - mesasone, on 03/14/2008, -1/+30Don't kid yourself, that's just a list of everybody who visited Ron Paul's website.
- SirNoobius, on 03/14/2008, -0/+24dude you're getting arrested
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080313-thre ... - theaceoffire, on 03/14/2008, -0/+24Its not sad, its glorious. How dare you have a non-positive opinion to being labeled a criminal in your own country! Are YOU a terrorist?
- Jenadae, on 03/14/2008, -0/+23I swear if im not on this list then its a total failure.
- knodi, on 03/14/2008, -1/+24And this is how it starts, fall of a empire.
- Mast3rDigg3r, on 03/14/2008, -0/+22soo I graduated with at least 2 terrorists? nice
- homerj1965, on 03/14/2008, -0/+22Ah the FEMA red/blue list. One persons terrorist is another persons patriot.
- kayvman78, on 03/14/2008, -3/+25I think the terrorists are laughing at all this talk. Have we resorted to be 5 years old? This isn't red rover. honest people are going to be singled out.
- rocketboot, on 03/14/2008, -0/+22Didn't this happen before, only with 'terrorism' swapped out with 'communist'? Fun times.
- inactive, on 03/14/2008, -0/+20Correction, intelligent people will be singled out. The government fears those who question the status quo.
- Ratteler, on 03/14/2008, -0/+20I am Spartacus.
- arplayer2k, on 03/14/2008, -1/+20WTF are the qualifications to become a terrorist? Brown/olive skin, beard, pray to Allah, and on a less racial scale, talk against corrupt government: Bush, Cheney, and those related or in coercion with?
BTW - we just had a anit-war demonstration at our school yesterday. Hopefully you got all those names added too. You can come down to my mosque, and we'll pose for you *****. - inactive, on 03/14/2008, -0/+19It's a joke that Homeland Security was created in the first place. Biggest waste of bureaucratic money I can think of.
- Jlaugh, on 03/14/2008, -0/+18They would be on the watch list for sure.
- Nevarius, on 03/14/2008, -1/+19or a neo-con's wet dream... if everyone was on the list we would be living under a police state.
- Frnnkdlxx, on 03/14/2008, -5/+22So it's agreed that the war on terror is a sham??
oh, and btw - 9/11?
*whispers* "inside job" - roberto_deneero, on 03/14/2008, -3/+20dude, take engrish much?
- ThePenrod, on 03/14/2008, -2/+19Makes perfect sense when you realize a few states have placed the members of the Libertarian party on the terrorist watch list.
- Armor1901, on 03/14/2008, -2/+18What a crock of *****. The future of America is really riding on this next election.
- christopheles, on 03/14/2008, -3/+19Dude! They should put that line in a movie or something!
- inactive, on 03/14/2008, -0/+16One?
- Hangly, on 03/14/2008, -1/+16We do live in a police state.
Or have you been in a coma for the last 10 years? - headzoo, on 03/14/2008, -0/+15Jesus Christ I'm getting so sick of this *****. Terrorist, terrorist, terrorist. I've got a novel idea: How about we stop ***** with people, and they'll stop ***** with us. I don't see anyone flying planes into Swedish buildings.
- carpespasm, on 03/14/2008, -3/+17Man, those are some lame ass terrorists if they've got that many here and they've yet to take out anything in the last 7 years.
- swordedge, on 03/14/2008, -5/+19And I have some beach front property to sell you.
- Metalteeth9, on 03/14/2008, -0/+14At least one person who dugg this is a terrorist! DETAIN HIM!
- capiCrimm, on 03/14/2008, -2/+15funny thing is people are always complaining about the oil prices when they buy gas.
Obviously, this is proof gas should be more expensive. -
