- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+20Glen Beck, I want the news, moron - not your perception of it.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+22I saw the poll - at that time Ron Paul had 53% of the votes.
That neocon bitch couldn't handle the truth and took down Ron Paul from the poll. - littlebylittle, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Glenn Beck = Rush Limbaugh's little Brother
- Ulisses, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I like it how ncairns and jukyarddawg are being buried and I'm being dugg.
Hum... maybe the ronbots couldn't see through the sarcasm? That would be a ROTFL indeed. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9They game Digg, why would other online polls be any different?
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6@Ulisses: Your statement is so close to what they believe that they didn't really have any chance of detecting that it was sarcasm. What you said is only obviously ridiculous to *non*-ronbots.
- elleanee, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9i can't find the video on that link. only thing i see is that assinine poll. how INCREDIBLY obvious. same story as the radar online "myspace friends '08" graph. transparent and laughable.
- AARTARTHUR, on 10/11/2007, -6/+12cbrady@glennbeck.com
Send an e-mail to this jerk and ask them why Ron Paul is not in the poll - Ulisses, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Junkyarddawg,
What's wrong is the Illuminati, NWO, NAFTA and Illegal Aliens using black magic, the help of their master Satan and general witchcraftery to screw up the scientific polls. - BrandonMills, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7That being said, without a doubt Ron Paul supporters have managed to monopolize all of the political stories on Digg.
I have to admit, I thought the idea of Ron Paul supporters spamming polls was BS *until* suddenly every other candidate story, which were regular occurences, faded away about mid-May, when various Libertarian news sites flooded Digg with new users.
Does that make it right to censor a poll? No.
But, given I already know what Ron Paul supporters do to win polls ( can we say e-mail mailing lists with "Ron Paul poll vote now!"? ) So yeah, that's not exactly 'ethical' either. That kind of thing would obviously skew results towards one particular candidate.
It's be a lot easier to believe Ron Paul supporters weren't fanatical spammers if anything close to a fair political discussion could be had on Digg. - fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6You expect an honest poll from Glenn Beck? A commentator isn't the place to get your neutral information.
- afruff23, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5What's funnier is that the percents now don't add up to 100. At least cover up your tracks when you're rigging a poll!
- lakush, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Glenn Beck is a douchebag.
- davalf, on 10/11/2007, -6/+8@aartarthur
why don't I just save you and everyone else who wants to email him the trouble:
He removed Ron Paul because he didn't feel like watching his poll being gamed. It's his poll, he can do whatever he wants with it. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4I agree, Brandon, partially. I am a supporter, but I get a bit frustrated when I see the same article posted by two or three different DIGG users. I wish a little moderation and common sense was used. People would be slower to Bury Ron Paul stories if they didn't appear every other minute.
But you've got to admit, when you start to see funny business going on, you get agitated. Ron Paul are now agitated, and feeding into the source of their agitation. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ron Paul is ignored and discarded. So the supporters post nonstop articles about Ron Paul, until people get so fed up they just Bury everything. So it is the very zeal of the supporters that contributes to the agitation, online at least. - AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4I have to begrudgingly give Paul credit... he has creeped up to 3% in the NH pole!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to meet with my Rhodes-Milner Round Table Group to discuss our new black helicopter purchase. - Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Ron Paul spammers in the past used proxy servers and IP spoofing to get past the IP logging of sites which use that. Have they stopped doing that?
Most of the Ron Paul gamed polls don't use IP logging, though, they simply use cookies, because those running the polls didn't think that there would be people so retarded that they'd cheat in a meaningless just-for-fun online poll. They were wrong.
Also, yes, the ronbots DO stop other discussion. Have any of you seen a submission positive to any candidate _except Ron Paul_ on Digg in the last four weeks? No? Well, that's because they'll bury any submission positive to any other candidate, and even though there's only, I'd guesstimate, about 30 ronbots (plus sockpuppet accounts), 30+ quick bury will sink any upcoming story. - Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Like what? 9/11 troof and racism? That's the unique points of Ron Paul (PBUH!). And it's not even sure he's a troofer.
- alpine75, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6Online polls are a joke anyway. The flaws of online polls are evident with all these kids voting for Paul multiple times. It's not a serious way to get an accurate reading of the opinions of the general public.
- JiveDadson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hey, I made that there video! Here t'is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zngi9sTcGw The sequence of events clearly shows that it all started after the May 15 debate, when Rudy Giuliani blundered.
You know what's worse than all those Ron Paul supporters spamming the internet? They are spamming Ron Paul's campaign committee with money! He's got $2.4 million in the bank as of early July, and he hasn't taken a penny from corporations. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Who cares what these imbeciles say or poll? Ignore them and they miraculously disappear.
- thecoolestguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Like the prosperity of the west.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3Glen Beck, what a joke. I'm still surprised he is still around after incidents like these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxq40OB0mkw
- jana67, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Glenn really shocked me by actually supporting Rudy, I think he's becoming a little too partial to NY...Totally disagree about Rudy! Ron Paul Will Secure Our Borders
- BESTenemy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1 You must be thinking bigdavediode. He was one of many people banned from digg cause he was burrying Ron Paul articles without reading them. He was in every discussion thread attacking people personally.
I'm an RP suporter. Do I look like a bot to you?
Once again, nothing prevents stories of other candidates from surfacing. Why do you distinguish from people that go for RP articles and those that support, let's say, Guiliani? Don't they have the exact same arsenal at their disposal? Why, having all the same tools, they don't produce the same result? Is it because there are fewer of them, or because their campaign doesn't stand out as much?
I don't mind seeing RP articles get burried. I added a few friend to my list that are interested in politics and I get my share of information off Digg's friends page. Don't care whether they make it to the front page or not. I find libertarian ideas appealing. I value personal responsibility of citizens for their actions. I prefer a small and limited government and I'm against fiat currency. That's why I support Ron Paul.
What makes other people against him is their business. Majority of Digg users are below the voting age. Why would they be interested anyway. - ncairns, on 10/11/2007, -9/+8http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08rep.htm
Wait and see how far I am dugg down for posting that.
Glenn Beck is an assclown, but HE'S the one who 'can't handle the truth'? - BESTenemy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3 Ron Paul dominates online political discussions. So what? Is he preventing other supporters from voicing their opinions? No. What about rival candidates? Don't they have supporters? Ron Paul doesn't own internet. He doesn't have half the campaign budget of any of his competitors, so money's obviously not the case, unlike with mainstream air time that goes to the highest bidder.
Why does RP stand out in online polls? Cause he stands out in real life, but unlike in real life, here his voice doesn't get censored here.
He's popular cause he is a unique politician that actually represents our interests. He is one of us.
He's a reminder of what a true politician should be - a servant for his people. - makingspace, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Just goes to show the fake conservative shill that the coward is. The sad thing is how popular that moron is, and the mindless goons who worship him will deny or not take notice of such an overt cover up that it is. What a loser.
- glmory, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2He is probably more like 2-3% of the vote. CNN.com just put him at 3% http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/06/12/schneider.nh.gop/index.html
Still that puts him in 5th among candidates running, not winning, but not entirely negligable. Jimmy Carter had about those kind of numbers this early in the primary campaign. If he manages to get the vote out, and pull double digit numbers I think his point would be made pretty clearly to mainstream candidates. Hopefully they would take notice, and alter their policies accordingly. The fact he is the only anti-war republican could really really help him out if at any time in the next eight months things get really bad. That, saddly, would probably be his only chance at nomination. - RMantaRay, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1EDIT: Sorry, accidentally commented, not replied. Digg down.
- thecoolestguy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Ron Paul has such a dedicated following because what he represents is so f.ucking important.
- XXchromosome, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Next thing you know, diggers will be pulling a Jericho and sending people thousands of pounds of Spam, as in the spiced ham in a can.
- RMantaRay, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3@BrandonMills
Well, when all major media outlets are pretending Ron Paul doesn't exist, how are those who don't read digg going to find out about him? Sometimes email lists getting a candidate's name out there into the mainstream public is the only option. - shipple, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1If you like Ron Paul, check out -- FreeStateProject*org --
- DarkEnder, on 10/11/2007, -7/+4Interesting video, but very poorly edited. Could have been shorter, with less video effects and made the same statement.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+3First of all, people don't vote multiple times on polls. You are only allowed to vote once and it logs your IP address once you vote.
How do you define general public? Are people on internet some lunatics from Mars? Most internet users are pretty smart and open-minded since they don't get all their news from a biased news network.
MSM refuses to broadcast and talk about minority candidates; then they take polls based on what they said. How is that not BS? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4The contention that Ron Paul supporters are spamming the polls is ridiculous. It is certainly very easy for the person running the poll to verify that people aren't voting multiple times. I am getting very very tired of hearing this same lame old excuse for why Ron Paul is winning the online polls. It is solely the Sour Grape Disease. It's the "Let's make everyone else miserable because I'm not happy" tactic.
However, that doesn't mean Ron Paul's high percentages are necessarily 100% legitimate either. For example, a kid can vote on online polls. But can say a 15 year old vote on election day? No. Second, you don't have to be a United States citizen to vote in online polls. But only citizens can vote on election, if they are registered to vote. - dshPls, on 10/11/2007, -12/+6Everyone here slams Beck(for a good reason) yet they want to take part in his poll, will your religious quest to get Ron Paul the Almighty in office spare any hypocrisy?
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -16/+9One'd think there would be a couple of sparks of understanding even in a ronbot brain when told that Ron Paul (PBUH!) had 53% of the votes.
One'd think even ronbots would look at figures like that and realize something was wrong, that the result can not possibly be accurate.
One'd think so, wouldn't one. And one would be wrong. - dshPls, on 10/11/2007, -14/+6Geez woowo, what do you call other people who don't bow to your lunatic god?
- FearMEiDEA, on 10/11/2007, -19/+11NO!!!!!!!!!!! More Ron Paul Spam! :(
- Bossobass, on 10/11/2007, -10/+0They're just mad at Ron because he was the only one lucky enough to fly first class after the debate.
Hey Junk...see ya on election day.
