Their time in the sun is closing though... this grand experiment has failed and miserably.
- ccagney, on 10/11/2007, -4/+59Cha-ching. Cashing in on 911. What a hero....
- Tabou, on 10/11/2007, -3/+50So the $10 million check from the Saudi prince was nothing but a publicity stunt for both the prince and Rudolph, which they probably planned together since it's a win-win for them. The prince didn't lose a penny, while projecting a good image of himself to both Americans (by being charitable) and Arabs (by speaking for their cause), while Rudolph acted like a "hero" by rejecting the millions of dollars.
Rudolph is being more and more exposed as the opportunist ***** he is by the day. - Bossy, on 10/11/2007, -7/+48If anyone votes for him, they are asking for another Bush.
- PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -2/+40NewsCorp is FOXNEWS and The NY Post among others.
- PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -3/+40These are direct business ties, not some indirect link, that would not be newsworthy.
- uwjames, on 10/11/2007, -1/+37Boycott Hanity? Done and done.
- JFen, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36Long live PNAC.
Anyone who runs on a platform of "Fear" does not deserve to serve the country in any capacity. - CannedMango, on 10/11/2007, -2/+35@therightside
it seems to me that people who don't have the time and/or skills to connect the dots love to use the term "conspiracy". I guess that anything that falls outside of the range of the official message handed down to you by your leaders is crazy.
I think the truth of how this world 'really' works would destroy you. - LinearChaos, on 10/11/2007, -1/+33During the debate Rudy Giuliani had a little spat with Paul and got a huge pop from the crowd. It didn't seem real to me, and I think that there is more than meets the eye when it comes the "debate". I don't agree with a lot of the stuff I have read from Cliff Kincaid, but he wrote an article that I found interesting for a couple of reasons (especially if he is correct):
http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272613400.shtml
First it mentions a "Conflict of Interest":
"...the same Associated Press story that named Saudi Arabia as a Giuliani client listed News Corporation, the parent company of Fox News, as another Giuliani client. This AP story, which was not disputed by Giuliani or News Corporation, was carried on the Fox News website."
I thought that was interesting, but what caught my eye was what I saw about a guy named Michael Steele:
"Later, Michael Steele, Maryland’s former Lieutenant Governor, was on Fox News, declaring that Giuliani had destroyed Ron Paul. “It’s done,” Steele said of Paul’s campaign. It wasn’t mentioned that Giuliani had campaigned for Steele when he ran for a Maryland Senate seat."
I remember watching that after the debate, how Scoop and Dump had "crushed" Ron Paul with the big pop and that Ron Paul's campaign was all but over. Yep, Mr. Steele had done the deed, and I imagine he sees the great riches and sexy women that the muslims hate us for in his future. I am sure there is a clip of it on the interweb somewhere. But I looked up that Steele was Chairman of GOPAC:
http://gopac.org/index.php
And on the front page:
"We have reserved tickets for all GOPAC Charter Members to attend the debate in South Carolina. As a Charter Member, you will see the candidates first hand as they debate the issues in front of a world audience. As always GOPAC will also incorporate an exciting array of panels and speakers that we hope will bring new insight to the issues of the day. Please contact Belinda Cook at 202-464-5170 or bcook@gopac.org today to reserve your ticket or to become a GOPAC charter member today. Seating is limited."
Wow, that sure seems "fair and balanced" to me. I am curious to see exactly who got tickets for this "debate". Was it all GOPAC, whose Chairman Giuliani campagned for at one time, attending an event co-sponsored by a Giuliani client? Is this The Twilight Zone?
No conflict of interest there, can't have anything to do with why the audience was so pro Ghouliani. - EntropyMan, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35In Italian, "Giuliani" means "Like a bush, only more so."
- tizz66, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28BREAKING NEWS: Politicians might be sleazy.
- fober, on 10/11/2007, -4/+30Not advocating corporate ties here, but don't all politicians have their hands in corporate pockets and vice-versa?
- Groovemaster, on 10/11/2007, -6/+28"We were told that the World Trade Center was gonna collapse, and it did collapse." - Rudy Giuliani
I wonder why he was in such a rush to have the evidence removed from the scene of the crime.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hNmf76GUCw - swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25Giuliani also has mob ties apparently.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23Oh ok...I see now. I didn't catch the correlation. Thanks!
- unicronband, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Can someone please make one of those videos where it's like everytime Giuliani has invoked 9/11 condensed into 3 minutes. "9/11, 9/11, 9/11. When I was mayor on 9/11. My 9/11's r in ur 9/11, 9/11ing ur 9/11. Did I mention I was mayor on 9/11?"
- luther70, on 10/23/2007, -0/+18Its kind of sick that if 911 didn't happen Rudy wouldn't even be a serious candidate.
- EntropyMan, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21@fober, yes and no. So-called "Press" have often endorsed, but not funded, candidates. And they certainly haven't lied about who they like.
I'd have less problem with Fox News openly endorsing Giuliani than that they are secretly paying him.
The Saudi connection is also troublesome, given recent events. Giuliani's law firm has its only international office in Kazakhstan, which oddly enough is also about oil. Afghanistan turns out to be the ideal route for a Caspian-to-Indian-ocean oil pipeline. I wonder if Giuliani would claim never to have heard of Unocal? - EntropyMan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18Paul said a lot more than the part about 10 years in Iraq. It's just that Hannity and others have edited his comments down and repeated them so often you wouldn't know the difference.
Not that Paul was super-articulate in that forum either, but it's not so easy to convey a complex idea in 16 seconds. - obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Lemme get this straight. Fox News reports that it may be a political liability for Giuliani to have ties to Fox News? Weird.
- EntropyMan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17They're not reporting it. They're carrying the AP news wire. They may not even have read this story, let alone approved it.
- bjornski, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16You'd never be able to fit every invocation of 9/11 into a 3-minute video.
It's his ONLY running point.
Well, that and teaming up with the EPA and telling our first responders that sure, the air is safe!
And then letting them die.
***** Rudy. - PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15http://spinfilter.blogspot.com/2007/05/open-letter-to-sean-hannity.html
I have multiple examples listed here. Even as late as yesterday Giuliani reiterated his comments. He still maintains it is about our "Freedom of Religion" and "Women's Rights".
We have expert statements to the 9/11 commission, Paul Wolfowitz, just about every interview that Bin Laden ever did and both his fatwas, the CIA, the list goes on. If Giuliani still never heard that from anyone other than Ron Paul he is plain ignorant. If you read what the AEI wrote previous to 9/11 it would be clearer. They are calling for a clash of civilizations and a that piece of information doesn't get discussed on purpose. They want to broaden the conflict as much as possible. They use to talk about it right after 9/11 but it seems once the term "islamofascism" came in, they don't discuss it. The term "islamofascism" is propaganda, it is vague so they don't have to specify the enemies. - Dweller99, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14So you think because he has "liberal leanings" that the political left should be slobbering all over this guy?
He is also a one trick pony. He was in the right place at the wrong time and now he entire existance revolves around one moment in time. He seems to think that he can scare us all into voting yet another idiot into office.
By the way, I am sure I am not the only one getting a kick out of the "liberals are afraid of him" comments. "fear" is this guys entire campain. If you support him then I would have to ask you "who is the scared one?" - zeebusboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Hillary and Rudy are the Rupert Murdoch candidates.
NO HILLARY NO RUDY. - MacintoshSauce, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Rudy Giuliani bloody scares me.
- PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Giuliani_Spins_Calls_Ron_Paul_s_Debate_Statement_a_Conspiracy_Theory
Here is where he calls Paul's statement a conspiracy theory. Please just read the spin he uses. He appears to be trying to say that since there is no operational connection between Al Qaeda and Iraq that Ron's comment is crazy. Rudy appears to be on of the biggest liars I've ever seen, and watching politics you see a lot of liars. - Look4Truth, on 10/11/2007, -3/+15Gee, what a surprise...NOT! He's also got ties to the NWO.
- SniperX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12I think the biggest news here is that he has ties to MySpace.
OMFG our childrens are in danger!.. - CannedMango, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11@geoffg
case in point... - SniperX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11@kingklr:
"Seriously does anyone actually proofread before they submit"
So.. If they put 'beta' after the title, would it be ok? - moxley, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Rudy is a piece of *****. If he becomes our next president, then let's just hope there are still people hanging out in the grassy knolls of the world.
The guy is a fascist by every definition of the word. He is corrupt and was complicit in the 9/11 attacks, and even people who don't understand or believe that are aware that he (as much as any of the neo-right fascists) gained enormously from exploiting the tragedies. - bitcloud, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10the breaking news is that now people aren't going to stand for it...
- my4boyz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Why the New York City Firefighters despise him so much...
http://firefightingnews.com/article-US.cfm?articleID=27125 - bg785, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13the tide is turning against giuliani
- my4boyz, on 10/11/2007, -7/+17all I can say is if Giuliani becomes president we will all be singing "away goes America down the drain... Roto Rudy!"
- bitcloud, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Al gore identified a problem and then identified a peaceful resolution to that problem...
You're a very confused individual - greenriver572, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10if anyone votes for Giuliani, theyre voting for another Hitler.
- Theodorant, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10It's from the AP wire. The article wasn't written by anyone from foxnews.
- Premonition, on 10/11/2007, -5/+15That's the biggest difference between Liberals and Conservatives, Liberals want what is best for the country while Conservatives want what's best for themselves. I am sure most of Ron Paul's base is from the left.
- blaze4metal, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10@gooup, @gazz
Al Gore isn't even running. Calm down people. - DiggMasterJ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Let's face it. We live in a country where too many of our leaders belong to the same secret organization, and most of the people don't belive it exists. The sad part is that the fact it exists isn't even the secret.
- bjornski, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Because he's the WORST candidate the GOP has to offer.
And because so many STUPID PEOPLE are believing his *****, flip-flop stories.
Rudy will say ANYTHING HE THINKS YOU WANT TO HEAR, if it'll get him that sweet, sweet money and power. - itsxclusive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Rudy Giuliani is a another neo-con like Bush and his admistration.
When doesn't the public get it??? it's not bush and his admiinistration...it's the collaborative effort of these neo-con republicans. Republicans in general just can't be trusted...u never know who's a neo con. - luther70, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13Yep you know nothing scares liberals more than a pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, pro gun control candidate.
- an0nymous, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9wow. Nice job.
- dodus, on 10/11/2007, -5/+14@trough
That's absurd. There are plenty of reasons to hate on Giuliani, but being catholic isn't one of them. - PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9The importance of the Saudi part is that he turned down 10 million dollars from Saudi Arabia to 9/11 victims, but he has no qualms about pocketing Saudi money himself. At first I thought FOXNEWS and NY Post was the big story but the Saudi money he gets is the big story. We have to keep hammering him on this, among other things.
