I'm sure it's easier to fund-raise. "911! 911! Send money" - luther70, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Exactly why is his association with 9/11 view positively? Just like Bush he used 9/11 for his on agenda. I guess when his country needed him he had prior engagements.
- richgustavson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I am shocked, SHOCKED, to hear that a politician chooses to raise money for (re)election rather than do the job he was elected to do.
- ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I hope no one is surprised at this.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'm not even sure what he did re: 9/11 that was so great. Gave some speeches? It was the easiest topic since Pearl Harbor to write/give a patriotic speech about, and it was a time when any patriotic speech at all would get people falling over themselves to applaud you for making. He said all the right things after a tragedy, sure, but what did he actually accomplish besides providing some soundbites that most people at the time found comforting? Maybe that's all we want in a President any more...
