- babcat, on 12/06/2007, -6/+36Lets all unite together to get this blimp in the air!
- cakeychan, on 12/06/2007, -6/+31I'm not a fan of the blimp, but I am a fan of the grassroots efforts and I respect everyone else's efforts enough to pitch in.
- undone4937, on 12/06/2007, -7/+32The first presidential blimp! I can't wait!!
- Kewlduderules, on 12/06/2007, -4/+28This should be really awesome. Can you imagine the publicity he will get?! I don't think any candidate has ever come up with something like this!
- bryanxt, on 12/06/2007, -5/+28Nice! This will be a first!
- czernel, on 12/06/2007, -4/+20Donate today - every penny counts!
http://www.ronpaulblimp.com - GabrielGray, on 12/06/2007, -6/+22Let's pimp the blimp!
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -4/+20let this bird fly!
- Clearfire18, on 12/06/2007, -6/+21Ron Paul is the only candidate worthy of having his own blimp. Well really its not his blimp, its the people's blimp. ; )
A mighty and true grassroots effort, can't think of the last time that happened. - Franky66, on 12/06/2007, -4/+16This is super cool....a big &*^# YOU to the main stream media!! DONATE PEOPLE!!! RON PAUL NEEDS THIS ONE!!
- tsos2, on 12/06/2007, -5/+17I'm giving my pledge twice. I challenge each and everyone of you who have already donated to donate again. Let's go people!
- iamvoodoo, on 12/06/2007, -4/+16Blimp at Tea Party in Boston = 3x the fun
- skippy17, on 12/06/2007, -2/+12They will after this, just like the money bombs.
- Synaxy, on 12/06/2007, -4/+14Go blimp go!
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -1/+10they where gathering pledges first now they are actually collecting on them
- nhpr, on 12/06/2007, -1/+10They only took pledges before Monday -- not actual money. Apparently, half of the pledges were fake/didn't feel like paying.
- winterus, on 12/06/2007, -5/+14The link is broken
http://ronpaulblimp.com/ - nymphetamine, on 12/06/2007, -2/+9"To the Hindinpeter!"
Peter Griffin '08! - ilovemypitbull, on 12/06/2007, -0/+6I don't think he is :-) Seems to like to Digg Ron Paul stuff.
http://digg.com/users/dhayes501 - TheMarlin1776, on 12/06/2007, -5/+11The blimp to save America.
- Kewlduderules, on 12/06/2007, -2/+7It is very real. Otherwise, it would not be in the MSM. Just do a search on google and you'll see it is real!
- Alexa42, on 12/06/2007, -0/+5It was a legitimate statement.
- Synaxy, on 12/06/2007, -2/+6Yea that is the best part, it'll be at the Tea Party!
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -4/+8okay we got 200 diggs! why is this not on the front page! ***** digg censorship.
- Synaxy, on 12/06/2007, -2/+6Its the same guy that did the Nov 5th support. We believe him. The word of mouth and publicity we get from this is well worth it compared to radio adverts.
- Synaxy, on 12/06/2007, -1/+4Very real, lots of grassroot supporters are donating to it. It is something really awesome.
- Justintwiece, on 12/06/2007, -4/+7Get the Blimp up lets go!!!
- card51short, on 12/06/2007, -1/+4oh herk you conspiracy nut you!
- card51short, on 12/06/2007, -0/+2a denier counting on mayhem and death?
No way!!! No wonder you don't like Ron Paul ;) - nroth, on 12/06/2007, -2/+4I think many people are very closed off to on-TV adds, and I think this will be a great return on investment. This will give alot more useful colorful tv time from the news media itself.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 12/06/2007, -0/+2He's right, hardly anyone has ever heard of Goodyear.
- Kewlduderules, on 12/06/2007, -5/+7Obvious political operative from another camp. GO away!
- deehlandes, on 12/06/2007, -2/+4It isn't censorship - if enough people mark the thing as Spam, then it does not get pushed to the front page. Just as Paul fanatics have their concerted efforts to get a front page article every time the man *****, people tired of Ron Paul spam have concerted efforts to bury that *****.
It isn't censorship if it isn't the site's fault. It isn't censorship when people call a spade a spade (or, bury spam as spam). - clownguyx, on 12/06/2007, -3/+5Anybody know what latest numbers were before the site crashed?
- ilovemypitbull, on 12/06/2007, -3/+5I was a little concerned about them too, but everything seems to be on the up and up so far. They haven't raised 200k yet, and that's what they need to get the blimp started.
All in all, I think this blimp is going to get AMAZING media coverage. That's a hard thing to buy, and I am pretty sure this blimp will deliver on it. - coheedcollapse, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1I'd think he'd make more of an impact as well as get plenty of press if he donated the money to some charity or something. A blimp is overkill as well as a waste of resources.
- ArnoldTPants, on 12/06/2007, -1/+2It's run by someone that won't spam you with emails not related to the teaparty. www.teaparty07.com will/does spam you with unrelated emails. Do not give your email address to www.teaparty07.com.
- tsos2, on 12/06/2007, -1/+2In an election where you aren't receiving a fair amount of press time, this is just the thing to shake things up a bit. I hope they have some good loud speakers on the blimp to play some patriotic music as it flies by. :)
- Synaxy, on 12/06/2007, -2/+3The advertisement and the new supporters we'll get from this will get us much more return on investment. It will also get us more people come Dec 16. It will be flying over boston for the teaparty, that is a sight that we can't miss..
- KOSmurfy, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Get this on the front page. Once the blimp is in the air, the publicity will help fuel donations to keep the thing going as long as needed.
- deehlandes, on 12/06/2007, -4/+5This is not newsworthy. 95% of the Ron Paul stories submitted to Digg are not newsworthy. Tone it down a little - Digg does not need to be saturated by RP stuff, Digg is not a RP news outlet. Spamming Digg with RP stories is not the way to generate interest or disseminate information about him, it only succeeds in telling his fans what they already know and pissing the rest of us off.
- Kewlduderules, on 12/06/2007, -3/+4Real!
- coheedcollapse, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Jesus Christ. If you have so much money that you can hit the limit and want to donate more, give it to a needy family or something. A blimp isn't going to get Ron Paul the presidency.
- sirpyro, on 12/06/2007, -4/+4Site down... Google has it, and you can actually donate through it:
http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:CCzT_5RuhA0J: ... - jabbertone, on 12/06/2007, -3/+3Like what? Ron is averaging $150,000 a day in donations to the campaign. This is a donation avenue for people who have already donated the limit of $2,300.
- rawraw04, on 12/06/2007, -4/+4Lets save the Blimp!!!!
www.ronpaulblimp.com - nhpr, on 12/06/2007, -2/+1It's teaparty07.com What weird link did you post? The domain isn't even registered to the same person.
- sirpyro, on 12/06/2007, -4/+3Wow, digg kills another site.... And when the blimp project needs it the most. Any one have a way to donate through Google bypassing the site that they can toss up here?
- Justintwiece, on 12/06/2007, -3/+2I did email the airship company and they confirmed they are renting the blimp for this. So they confirmed it and they are all over the web as a legitimate business. Any other confirmation should be posted here also because it is always good the check things :)
Here is a link to some old news about the airship compnay: http://www.generalaviationnews.com/editorial/artic ... -
