- actorboy, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1Obama said talks were needed to broker a ceasefire. Talk brought about a ceasefire. Was Obama responsible? No. Did he make a judgement call that proved accurate like his call on Iraq? Yes. Did McCain choose to follow the same saber rattling path of the current administration? Yes.
Obama demonstrates the skill makes the right call -- again. And that, my friend, is the point of the article.
Here's a little story for you. I met this man a while back who was veteran of the Korean War. Great guy. He was an ace airplane mechanic during the war and now picked up extra money working on cars. I brought him over to take a look at my old junker that was running poorly. You know what he said? "Hmmm, computer problem. These new cars are over my head." The moral? It doesn't matter how old you are or many years of experience you've got under your belt, sometimes you're just not the right one for the job. Skill tops experience. - vexingmodstwo, on 08/13/2008, -1/+1Only a kool-aid drinking moron is going to try and suggest that Obama had anything to do with this.
