- toddcat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5They dont' have the most educated citizenry any more. We've prompted 40% of their engineers, doctors, teachers, and lawyers (the people who can afford to) to leave. But yeah....if we just stay with it for 10 more yeras, everything will be OK. The whole country will just be inhabited by lizards. Christ, the ***** just doesn't stop from these people.
- duckstrap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'm sure Iraq will be remarkable after 10 yrs. of US rule. Broke, looted, violent, segregated, vulnerable and populated by orphans and uneducated poor folks who couldn't leave.

- agrabob, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1It is *****, but it's somewhat correct. Look what happened with South Korea. Sure, it's not a similar situation from the start, but the end result is the same: We are using a country to gain a foothold into a region of the world.
If our next president does not make obvious and immidiate moves to pull out, we will be there for a long time.
