- rahamm, on 05/21/2008, -6/+60Stop it with the party splitting. Let's talk about Obama vs. McCain, Clinton is done for she knows it and the trashing of her is only making her supporters angry and moving away from Obama. Look at Kentucky.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -13/+51Kentucky and WV should be ashamed of themselves. They pretty much proved that are a lot of rednecks and white trash over there
- chrissku, on 05/21/2008, -5/+21Question of the day: Does Hillary Clinton attend Barack's inauguration in January, or stay on the campaign trail? Why waste a day watching some silly event when you have your eye on the prize!
- Krisgi, on 05/21/2008, -2/+10Ditto. The Real Enemy is McBush. Clinton will be a great ally for Obama. I just have a feeling...
- Swift2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Look, it's obvious that it's over. Let it take its course. What does Obama do? I'll tell you: he'll say nicer and nicer things about Hillary, and she'll say a combative thing, and then she'll say a nice thing, and then, when she packs it in, Obama will invite her up on his stage and she'll start making speeches for him, especially in the states where she won. That's what's necessary to keep the party together, which is what is necessary to win. So no dancing on graves, or continuing with the demonization of Hillary. It's offensive and counterproductive to Obama and to the Democrats, and it makes you look like a bunch of weenies who are too insecure to be in a PARTY with all kinds of different people and interests in it. If you're talking about a path to spiritual enlightenment, the one who finds his way, alone, to the mountaintop, wins. In politics, the biggest tent with the most people - even some you don't like - wins. Didn't your mommy teach you to share your toys?
- Swift2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Brilliant way to campaign for their votes in the fall, dummy. Can't you get the point? The more you say that, the more you make Obama sound like just another elitist. Jeez. Get a clue.
- rootsm3, on 05/21/2008, -4/+10Ron Paul '08
just kidding...that Clinton fellow is one tough bitch - bonmot5, on 04/08/2009, -1/+6You forgot to mention S 2433 The International Poverty Act that Obama sponsered, this could potentially cost the American taxpayer $845 Billion. I'm just saying...
I don't like McCain either, BTW. - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -2/+7You forgot to mention the urban ***** that voted for Obama at about the 97% rate.
Look at the black populations education level, then if you want to see the real ugly look at the high school education rate for blacks.
Rednecks=*****, if you're going to use Redneck then I think its only fair that we use ***** for the uneducated racist black populations in places like NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago etc etc. - Futurejunior, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Who are you talking about that the "large ignorant masses" voted for? Bush? Because if I remember correctly, he actually lost the public vote in the first election. It was political manipulation, not the ignorance of the people, that got him in office in the first place. It's also very hard to remove an incumbent from office, which is why the democrats choose such a retarded candidate. The fact that the race was even close the second time shows the opposite of your words. The people were, in fact, paying attention. As for "fresh as new" = "inexperience" That's completely false. Just because he has different ideologies than the beloved status quo of the GOP doesn't make him "inexperienced", it makes him what this country needs, the need for change.
- ryan850, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Dems had 2 good candidates to choose from so it's expected to be close... especially when there just isn't that much different about them... most clinton supports will still vote obama over mccain... just because certain demographics prefer clinton over obama that doesn't mean they'll automatically prefer mccain over obama
- DocCochran, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4You prefer the current President's policy of 'spend and spend' instead, I guess?
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4Do not discourage it. Just smile and tell them that they love America. That is what they want to hear.
- the2989, on 05/21/2008, -3/+7"adults with no college education"
Somehow I doubt these people will change. - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5"adults with no college education"
that is the biggest pile of crap, and a LOT racist considering they dont give the data on the education level of the 97% of BLACK population who voted for Obama.
You throw the HIGH SCHOOL graduation rate for blacks on top of that and it gets even uglier. - ontain, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5But what about her "Hard working" white base?
- dagamer34, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4Are we forgetting that Bill Clinton insulted African Americans with his race-bating comments? If Barack or his wife had insulted women repeatedly, I would have expected the same thing and said nothing of it.
They were just getting away with what they could at the time. - maiku00, on 05/21/2008, -3/+6WV and Kentucky are amongst the lowest in the nation in terms of education and highest in religion/superstition. Its a generalization to say they are all bottom of the barrel dwellers, but the majority of them indeed are.
- Spoomeister, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5It's extremely telling that the more this drags on, the more Clinton's arguments are about rules-lawyering, and hair-splitting, and moving the goalposts. All of her major talking points over the last 3 weeks have been about ways to interpret the numbers, and ways to creatively make people forget that while she was the frontrunner, she was perfectly alright with the MI and FL delegates not being seated (even signed agreements about that). She's busy talking to the superdelegates. It's "depends on what the meaning of 'is' is" all over again.
Meanwhile, Obama's major talking points have been about responding to McCain, and about continuing to talk about his platform. He's busy talking to the nation, not just his base.
Barack's argument for being elected president is unchanged. Progressive policies and an approach to politics and issues that stays consistent no matter the audience or pressures.
Hillary argument du jour for being elected president is now "I can beat John McCain". Well, as satsifying as it might be to have a job that solely consists of thwarting John McCain, that's not the qualifications one should use for picking a president. (I imagine her ringing his doorbell every morning to greet him and following him around all day saying "no". Taking away ice cream from him, or something.) Ready on day one does not equal ready only for day one. - Whackly, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5If that's your reason it isn't racist. However, it is troll behavior to hang out making comments irrelevant to the post. You weren't going to vote for Clinton either. This story doesn't hold any relevant information for you.
- Acewrap, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Except for the fact that he, you know, didn't vote for the farm bill.
He did support it, but he didn't vote for it.
Please practice truth in trolling. - darkcthulhu, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Yep, borrow and spend is a much better solution!
- Gerz1219, on 05/21/2008, -3/+6Obama also won the white, lower income, non-college educated vote in Oregon last night.
It is more accurate to say that Hillary's base consists of racists in Appalachia. - Aadain, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5Listening to exit polls, most people DIDN'T vote for Obama because he's black. Voting for someone because of their skin color is walking a fine line between being racist and simply voting for the candidate that you can relate to. But NOT voting for someone because of their skin color IS racist. Just listen to the people in KY and WV, they are not ashamed about not voting for Obama because he's black. That's real racism.
- vexingmodstwo, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4In other words, all those rabid Hillary fans are doing exactly what they said they wouldn't do and are going to vote for Obama anyway.
- Swift2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2You know, if I didn't know better -- and I don't -- I'd say Gay4Obama is a troll.
- jontalisman, on 05/21/2008, -2/+4Key Clinton voters are shifting to Obama? Hmm, that sure doesn't explain why she's won far more votes than Obama has since March 1st.
- dubhousing, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3But they do contribute delegates to the primary race, as do, I believe, other US territories. There's also an "Americans Abroad" primary.
- Pssdoff, on 05/21/2008, -3/+5RON PAUL!
The only candidate with real changes in mind. - exomni, on 05/21/2008, -6/+8Dupe
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/GALLUP_Key_Clint ... - ptheroux, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3Public opinion polls of Obama vs. Hillary are largely irrelevant at this point. The only states left to vote are Montana, North Dakota, and Puerto Rico. What really matters are the opinions of the unpledged superdelegates.
- vexingmodstwo, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Yes, but they're not a state.
- donte, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2.... of a story already in the top 10.
- Swift2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Now, that's a lie. The race-baiting was almost all -- okay, Geraldine Ferraro was an exception -- from the Obama supporters. "He criticized the leader! He must be racist! I know, you have to interpret words really funny, like in my own special dictionary, to see the racism, but that's because the Clintons (or "Billary," or 'the Clintoons," borrowed from '90s hate radio, thank you very much), are so demonic, they're using code words!"
You know, without the imminent birth of Hillary, there would have been no Second World War, don't you? - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3You forgot to factor in the education of Obamas 97% BLACK supporters.
Dont forget to look at their High School graduation level. - dcmjzero, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3RON PAUL.
- Schmapdi, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3Ok, fact.
MSNBC exit polls showed 1/5 Kentucky voters admitted that race was a factor in their voting. 9/10 of those people voted for Clinton. Now I don't know about you, but if I were a racist, I would be reluctant to admit it - so the fact that almost 1/5 did makes me assume that more people actually were voting Clinton because of racial bias. - Whackly, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Lots of other republicans voted for her to. They attempted to skew the results of the dem primary because they wanted to run against Clinton who they perceived as divisive and easier to conquer. Subsequently they may not get what they want out of the republican primary elections but at least the repubs would be better positioned for the presidential race. This is who I think you are. I'm not assuming it. I just suspect it. You, on the other hand, seem to know all kinds of facts about me. You know what I think and what I digg. You're completely wrong but this feeds into my suspicion that you're a republican. To a republican, if a fact is completely wrong, unsupportable, contradicted, and devoid of all sensible logic, consideration, or useful purpose that doesn't make it any less of a fact.
- justbloggin, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Or someone that wastes all their energy on a lost cause...hmmm sounds familiar, kind of like George Bush and Iraq? Sometimes it takes courage to cut your losses and join a fight that is winnable. Hillary's ego is getting in the way of good judgement. Let it go already!
- r00fus, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Cue Cake: She's going the distance....
- chase001, on 05/21/2008, -5/+6Hillary used to remind me of Tonya Harding, but the longer this drags on the more I keep thinking Lady MacBeth. Anyone that ambitious is dangerous and should not be allowed to be President.
- rahamm, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2STOP IT PARTY SPLITTING!
- gcnaddict, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1The urban African American populace doesn't need to be mentioned because Obama didn't exploit their support.
In contrast, Hillary took advantage of her support with racist whites in Kentucky and West Virginia. That's why it matters.
Also, reported. - BaudiIROCZ, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3ok ok your right they arent racist rednecks, just "hard working white americans" READ: poor uneducated white americans. Certainly there is nothing racist about them.
- r00fus, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Ambition is not bad.
Lack of ethics is.
Hillary showed very poor judgment when she lied about Tuzla and race-baited, and that in itself should disqualify her. - coolred, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Please. The whole thing basically comes down to the candidates race, sex and personality.
Obama is getting just as many racially based votes from young white liberals voting for him to prove how 'progressive' they are.
Or with 95% of blacks voting for the black guy the moment it became clear he had a decent chance..
You don't need any exit polls to explain the stats.
Face it, The average voter doesn't know the slightest difference between their policies.
Just that they are both Democrats, against the war, and for more hand-outs. - radiofrequency, on 05/21/2008, -3/+4More desperate crap from Obama's campaign headquarters. Yesterday, Hillary picked up more delegates than Obama - and these are real delegates not bought and paid for "superdelegates". Obama should close up shop and get out of here. He's unelectable and his ideas are bad for America.
- kemp34, on 05/21/2008, -3/+4I mean, I agree with you, but this doesn't seem like an apt place or time. You'll probably just turn people off with this sort of spammish behavior.
- minorthreat, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Just because I've masturbated more times in the past week than yourself, does not mean that I do it more often than you.
