- pastorlan, on 11/12/2007, -6/+12Huckabee is the most electable Republican because he's real and he's one of the everyday American people, not a Wasghinton politician or a puppet of big business..
- chaplainswife, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6That's an interesting comment considering the media, FoxNews included, is featuring and endorsing other candidates and largely trying to downplay any developments with the Huckabee campaign. He is gaining strength in spite of the media. His strong message is what will win him the White House, not millions of dollars or celebrity endorsements.
- MountainMom, on 11/12/2007, -5/+11This just proves that others are learning what we already knew! Go Mike!
- ROCON2008, on 11/12/2007, -3/+8This is very exciting news. MIKE is gaining the confidence of the American people. His finances will improve as more people are convinced. Let's keep using, word of mouth, it's the best advetising there is. It puts a personal touch to the message. Don't forget Nov.20th, everyone who can, please donate $100. He has to have the funds to keep up with the pace.
- zipcodes, on 11/12/2007, -4/+9The more people learn about Huckabee, the more they realize he is the GOP answer to Hillary.
- Nanellen, on 11/12/2007, -3/+8Mike Huckabee is the best candidate. Period. He's had more governing experience than any of the other candidates. He doesn't change positions depending on what group he speaks to or what race he's running in. He is a Conservative - both fiscal and social - despite what some of his opponents are putting out there. Any Governor who cuts taxes 94 times is a fiscal conservative in my book. I trust him to do what he says he will do. He's a man of the people. He wasn't born into wealth. Nobody paved the way for him.
We need Mike Huckabee to be our President. - deezerdeezer, on 11/12/2007, -1/+5The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows Senator Hillary Clinton earning 46% of the vote while Huckabee attracts 43%.
Incredible. People are seeing that Huckabee stands for something. - faith011403, on 11/12/2007, -3/+7stealthc-
I appreciate your opinion, but we both know that there's not truth to your comment. Huckabee sounds nothing like any of the other republican candidates (yours included). If anything the media has been trying to write him off. However, he continues to rise in the polls and the media can't ignore that. Mike's support is coming from the people and it's because his message is different, his campaign is positive, his leadership is proven, and his character is true. Mike will get the money he needs to win, but he's getting my vote because I can trust and believe in him not because he can raise and spend millions of dollars promising something he has no intention or ability to carry out. - dawebb, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3"he has little support amongst Arkansas conservative leaders."

No support....really? - Minnahota, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3Finally a candidate who reflects all of my views! Go Mike Go!
- deezerdeezer, on 11/12/2007, -2/+4As Governor of Arkansas, He cut taxes and fees almost 100 times, saving the taxpayers almost $380 million. He left a surplus of nearly $850 million, which I urged should go back to the people. Also, Huckabee is in favor of a FairTax which would create a more fair tax burden for all, and a tax code that people could actually understand. I would encourage you to read his response to the Wall Street Journal article that attacked him on the same things the club for growth goes after: http://mikehuckabeeforcolorado.blogspot.com/2007/1 ...
- Huckabeehound, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3As more people find out who Mike Huckabee is, those poll numbers will show Huckabee with a large margin over Hillary and any other contender.
- jaredcwhite, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3I believe in Mike and his ability to deliver on his promises, his principles, and his positions. He's a great speaker, a fine man, and a proven leader. Let me see Huck-a-bee in the White House! :)
- ilikemike, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1I Dugg you down. How's that for a reply.
- skippy17, on 11/12/2007, -3/+3As a Ron Paul supporter, I will admit, I would much rather him than the other Republicans and the Democrats. However, ANYBODY that is for the war in Iraq while preaching fiscal responsibility is a mockery of the concept.
This war is the biggest expense of our country, to cut taxes while it is going on is sending an invoice for generations to come. - Arkansas243, on 11/10/2007, -0/+0When you consider the thousands of GOP activists and former and current GOP representatives in the state, then yes, that is virtually no support.
- skippy17, on 11/09/2007, -1/+1by him I meant Huckabee.
- oliverc, on 11/12/2007, -5/+4You guys who favor Huckabee need to check out his club for growth report card ( http://www.clubforgrowth.org/ ).
While all the Republicans *claim* to be fiscal conservatives, very few actually are, Huckabee is very obviously not at what he claims to be.
Please respond to this criticism rather than just digging me down. - Arkansas243, on 11/12/2007, -3/+1The only reason Huckabee has seen a slight rise in the polls is because he has become the darling of the liberal media due to his big government approach and his soft stance on illegal immigration. This rise will not be sustained because, as Huckabee becomes more popular, people will actually start looking at his dismal record as Governor. A recent poll showed that only 8% of Arkansans support his run for president and he has little support amongst Arkansas conservative leaders. Why is that? Because he was a TERRIBLE governor. I'm so tired of seeing people on these boards talking about how great he is. I am a Christian conservative who actually lived under a Huckabee administration and I can tell you that he is no conservative. He was corrupt, raised taxes, shouted down anyone who disagreed with him, and greatly expanded the government. If you're looking for a conservative, look elsewhere.
- stealthc, on 11/12/2007, -11/+6Huckabee's "gains" are entirely media-made. He has little money and nothing original to say. Any "rise" he makes in the GOP has to do with politically motivated darling treatment he gets from the party brass and their goons in the media. There is another candidate who is out-performing the huckster with his eyes closed. Ron Paul.
