This Republican Senator is an ignorant bigot!
He probably gets his data from his pastor & not from factual science sources.
This borders on hate speech.
- Anomaly100, on 07/01/2009, -6/+144My roommate will be so happy now. She can exist! Yay! Let me go tell her right now. She'll be all goosebumply (yes, I made that word up). She likes girls and now she is allowed to exist. Yay for my best friend! /extreme s
That makes me sick. - uncajoe, on 07/01/2009, -9/+124He's an *****, there I said it!
- charlie6969, on 07/01/2009, -4/+107Allowing them to exist.
Amazing, and not in a good way. - sugarazor, on 07/01/2009, -4/+80Yet its Digg comments are still smarter than yours.
- emt1451, on 07/01/2009, -4/+80Dear Senator Eichelberger,
Thank you for allowing me to exist. Really. I appreciate it.
Love,
Me - ZenMojo, on 07/02/2009, -4/+79Why homosexuality isn't bestiality:
Animals can't provide explicit consent.
Why homosexuality isn't pedophilia:
Children can't provide explicit consent.
Why homosexuality isn't incest:
No entangling familial social bonds or genetic hazard.
So no, there isn't a slippery slope anymore than miscegenation was a slippery slope. - damnthatsfunky, on 07/02/2009, -2/+77I'll bet a crack pipe and a gay massage that this guy gets caught banging a dude.
- EarlOfLade, on 07/02/2009, -5/+7440 years ago, the word "gay" would have been replaced with "n***er" but the rest would have been the same.
- GBPACKGB, on 07/01/2009, -5/+73I'd put the odds at about 3 to 1 that Eichelberger is another Larry Craig Republican.
- tgjerusalem, on 07/01/2009, -2/+66And what Iran or anyone does with regards to their gay population is irrelevant when we're talking about US politicians.
- highlymodified, on 07/01/2009, -3/+60Relevance?
I mean, as long as we're better than ___, it must be ok?
Go find something sharp and stick it in your eye. (You're still better off than Stevie Wonder, so it's kosher.) - sarahlee, on 07/01/2009, -6/+61Obviously it is Eichelberger who is dysfunctional and needs some mental health help. Lucky for him it is liberals fighting for health care that might allow him to get the care he needs.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -3/+56Political Deflection... FAIL!
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -3/+55"Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between"
- srujanlive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+53They are not asking for any "special" designations. They are asking for the same rights that heterosexuals have and they don't.
- MSUKate, on 07/02/2009, -4/+47He's allowing gay folk to exist? Wow! I didn't realize that he was God.
What an asshat. - northwatuppa, on 07/01/2009, -7/+49What I take away from the Senator's comments is that he believes homosexuality is a form of insanity and, in American, we graciously allow the insane to live, at least so far.
- BrewBeau, on 07/02/2009, -0/+40@JackGrinnan
Christianity didn't invent marriage. So, it's not like gays getting married is some insult to Christian marriage. - xenuxenuts, on 07/02/2009, -1/+40You're a Presbyterian?
- ironbear, on 07/01/2009, -2/+41As opposed to sending us to death camps, presumably.
The 'good' senator's term is up in 2010. Make it right and dump this extremist, Pennsylvania. - TheSkinsFactory, on 07/02/2009, -2/+40You know in about a year he'll be caught getting a blowjob from a guy in an airport lounge bathroom. Or giving one.
- treehugger87, on 07/01/2009, -9/+47I thought people from Pennsylvania had more sense.
- mrsteveman1, on 07/01/2009, -5/+43you mean (R)-Zoo
- costumemaker, on 07/02/2009, -2/+38... also, you know the only people I have EVER heard about marrying children and getting all up in some polygamy do it for religious reasons, not because there are gays among them. In fact, gays are shunned and excommunicated from these religions...
So, wouldnt that mean something more along the lines that its religion that causes people to marry young kids and be polygamists and not gays making them do it.
Can anyone think of anyone who has done these things who didnt do it because of religion? I honestly cant. - womweasel, on 07/01/2009, -4/+40Did you forget Bruce Bagemihl's _Biological Exuberance_? It is a scholarly, 700+ page book that lists thousands of species that don't limit themselves to fundamentalist approved sexual behavior.
http://www.amazon.com/Biological-Exuberance-Homose ... - ruarctb, on 07/02/2009, -2/+37We aren't asking for special designations. We're asking for the SAME designations as straight people.
- spriggig, on 07/02/2009, -2/+37Careful there Johnny, next week Fox Fake News will be mis-labeling you a (D)emocrat after you get caught in a Motel 6 with a dick in your mouth.
- emailowndme, on 07/02/2009, -1/+36Lets do a thought experiment...
Let's say you are an animal, a middle food chain type. Someone who eats others, but also has to fear being eaten himself. Lets say your predator dies off, or moves away, or, is killed by another species, and now you have no predators.
What is to keep you and your herd from eating all the food in sight, then dying off within a few generations?
Science seems to postulate that homosexuality is one of nature's tools to prevent over population and subsequent destruction of animals food sources. It's created in rat populations for example, when a scientist does not put scarcity on food, but instead on the space available from which the food can be gotten to. That sounds like urban life to me, and I'd imagine some folks are much more susceptible, genetically, then others.
Then again, I am a believer in genetic determinism, so you can discount me if you want.
Also, for reference, binobo's engage in felatio and cunilingus, as well as lesbian scissoring...
The more you know. - Fogdelune, on 07/02/2009, -1/+35Ten to one he's been having secret liasons in restrooms with strangers for about 15 years. He just kind of looks like one of those types. By those types, I mean hypocrites.
http://senatoreichelberger.com/wp-content/uploads/ ... - mrsteveman1, on 07/02/2009, -0/+34"I think the natural use of a dick is to use as a tool to fertilize the egg of a female. But I could be wrong."
Also good for getting things out of the shower drain, unplugging the disposal, dusting the shelves above your desk.
NOTE: some of those are one-time uses. - STBAT25, on 07/01/2009, -10/+44Well DUH, this is why Republicans need assault rifles with high capacity magazines to kill all these gay animals. /s
- enantiodromia, on 07/01/2009, -5/+39in before "The Bible says we are not animals!"
- sulthernao, on 07/02/2009, -0/+33Well that's something to be proud of!
"Hey look at us! We are the United State of America in the 21st century! We don't persecute gays anymore...unless you are gay and in the military. My, we are a tolerant nation." - dysfunction, on 07/02/2009, -0/+32The point is that it's moronic to claim it's 'unnatural' or an 'abomination' when it's extremely common in nature, which- remember now- is the definition of 'natural'.
- psilly, on 07/01/2009, -1/+31"Pennsyltucky"

- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+28We allow you to exist also UR. If we didn't stop them, intelligent people would've stopped your parents from reproducing.
You're welcome. - THX8612, on 07/02/2009, -1/+28Dugg up for two reasons,
1. You make a good point
2. For using a $100 word in place of "Interracial" - womweasel, on 07/01/2009, -5/+32When Eichelberger was in the boy scouts he applied for the both the diversity and tolerance patches. The scout master told him that he wouldn't get them because he needed to earn them first. Eichelberger replied, "But I didn't participate in any genocide today, doesn't that count?"
- Nidy1, on 07/02/2009, -1/+27Do you know what the term consenting adults means?
- ZeroCubed, on 07/02/2009, -6/+31At this moment, I am allowing Eichelberger to exist.
At the next moment, who knows... - tgjerusalem, on 07/02/2009, -0/+24When your definition of "justice" includes "minorities aren't rounded up and killed," you're setting the bar too damn low.
- RogueGenius, on 07/02/2009, -3/+27Are you new? I mean, new on this planet? Because honey, if you can marry and they can't, then they CAN NOT do what every American can do.
- RogueGenius, on 07/02/2009, -5/+28You already said he was a Republican Senator. Calling him is bigot is just repetitive.
- avataros, on 07/01/2009, -3/+26Nice to know a group of people are being bestowed the right to exist by the will of the majority.
Someone failed civics and is thus now a politician. - RogueGenius, on 07/02/2009, -2/+24This is the third stupid response from Presbyterian I've read in about as many minutes. Read the third point again and stop being stupid.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -4/+26Ahhh, typical "biblical" Conservatard.
Please, ladies and gentlemen, take note to the blatant use of baseless scare tactics. Notice how he scares his (most likely low IQ) fan base with, homosexuality will lead to 'xyz.' Please also take note to how this GOP ***** lacks the ability to debate actual proven science. So instead, he justifies his bigoted prejudices with fear and propaganda. It is by this technique, slavery was able to be instituted for as long as it was. Racist bigots used the SAME EXACT slippery slope fear tactics to keep slavery legal.
And may I ask what is wrong with polygamy? Does this moron realize humans are biologically inclined towards polygamy? Perhaps our oh so dear leader should have stayed awake during his highschool biology class instead of shooting spitballs at the nerds. -
