- brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -17/+177I can only see this further damaging the Republican's credibility. They can't attack the guy on his policies or views, so they attack his name. It's like saying Michael Moore is wrong because he is fat.
Speaking of fat, white blowhards, people are getting sick of them. Sure these men have audiences, but I would like to believe most people with half a brain can see how transparent their tactics are.
Besides, Obama was born in 1961, long before Sadaam came into power in 1979. And even then, the US and Hussein were allies until the early 90's. I wish some politicians would stop throwing temper-tantrums, get out of the sandbox, and start living in the real world. - gronne, on 10/12/2007, -9/+113Do we even have to go into how common that name is in other parts of the world? Talk about exploiting peoples ignorance.
- interrogate, on 10/12/2007, -7/+80 "trghpy
Hmm...
Conspiricy? "
Conspiricy....Conspiracy.
Hmm... - brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -8/+72No sir, you are wrong. Haven't you heard everyone with the last name of Ramirez is a serial killer?
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -5/+66Tell that to my friend Kevin Fartsalot. Poor guy can't seem to land a job or date to save his life.
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -13/+65I know nothing of this man, yet from this little discourse I can already tell 1) he's Republican, 2) he's conservative, 3) he's an evangelical Christian, 4) he masturbates to gay porn, 5) he thinks Jesus wants him to be rich and you to be poor because you suck in God's eyes, 6) his daughter isn't allowed to talk to Negroes.
- shawnfassett, on 10/12/2007, -8/+56Thanks for posting this clip...I caught this at the end of Matthews show and was floored.
This dick basically made #1 a racist comment and #2 a stupid comment and Chris Matthews was lapping at his balls while he said it.
How come Matthews spends all of his time talking about Hillary (that's Senator or Mrs. Clinton to you) or Barack/Edwards (lack of experience, leadership, etc..) and goes on and on about Bush's cod piece or Rudy's new wife (ex-mistress) and how she is dressing like a 1st lady? He sounds as if he's masterbating to porn...he's literally that stupid. - trghpy, on 10/12/2007, -13/+62Speaking of which...
Doesn't the Iraq President have an odd name?
Jalal Talabani?
Hmm....
Talabani....Taliban.
Talaban....Taliban.
Taliban....Taliban.
Hmm...
Conspiricy? - jmzook, on 10/12/2007, -3/+47He either did it unintentionally, in which case he's an idiot, or he did it on purpose, in which case he's a bigoted idiot. I don't agree with everything that Barack Obama says, but I have to admit that he is an intelligent, articulate man.
- dknighton, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31That comment assumes that the American public is no smarter than the people we have elected to lead us.
Please tell me that's not true. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -21/+48Obamas middle name is *Hussein*?
Well, that just killed his chances of becoming president in 2008. Not kidding. I know it's irrational, but people aren't going to vote for a Hussein. - topnotchnet, on 10/12/2007, -23/+50thats the problem...the majority of most americans have less than half a brain
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32The GOP could collectively gang rape a retarded crippled black jewish midget and get away with it by blaming it on something to do with terrorism.
- lechatron, on 10/12/2007, -10/+347) his daughter has had an orgy with 3 Negroes in her fathers bed.
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Anyone who question "hussein" as a name clearly has never seen Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein
http://www.princesshaya.net/
(stone fox) - david76, on 10/12/2007, -6/+29I guess you don't watch the show that much. That was David Shuster. Matthews wasn't hosting that night.
- geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+317) His wife is also his sister.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20"And please explain to me what Obama's thoughts on policies actually are?"
Just look here:
http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Barack_Obama.htm - superyounan1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15So what his middle name sounds muslim? his first name sounds jewish... and he's neither. What a windbag
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17he made particular emphasis on the hussein part, as if to point it out
- grahamcase, on 10/12/2007, -7/+20OMG!!! Obama Sounds like Osama! He must be a terrorist! TERRORIST THREAT RED!
- berfmurret, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14yeah. just because he said "barrack HUSSEEEEINNNNNNNNN obama" doesnt mean he was trying to pull anything.. at all....... *rolleyes*
- kosmoX, on 10/12/2007, -11/+22Might as well stab their wifes with knifes and end their lifes.
- Stonedonkey, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14I dugg this just so more people might see how reprehensibly stupid this toad is.
- david76, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14Yeah. There wouldn't be any reason why he pronounced Obama's first name as he did. I honestly don't think many people know his middle name and I don't think this guy goes around calling Hillary "Hillary Rodham Clinton".
- W00DR0W, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Where's the rest of the video?
I hate when a video gets cut off right when something crazy is said/done, and you can't see the reaction to it from the other people. - flamingbird, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11yeah with extra emphasis on the "Hussein". the stupid ***** pre-school games that these ass-hats play.
- nigeltufnel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16Explain to me again how strange it is that the Republican Party is fast becoming the political equivalent of a leper colony...?
- member57, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Careful you might find one in your family, even if you're black. Every race has enslaved another at different times in history.
- adamcarrington, on 10/12/2007, -10/+18Sad because it's true.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Actually his first name makes me think about Baraka from Mortal Kombat. I don't see him chewing corn through a fence or growing blades out of his arms though.
- psbpv3o, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Barack Hussein Obama IS AWESOME!!!
- Serrac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8He puts a particular emphasis on the Hussein part...as if it's important that it's Barack Hussein Obama as opposed to just Barack Obama.
What's the point of him saying the full name if not for the fact that he's trying to connect Hussein to Obama? - ctfriedman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9as a moderate (more of a liberal moderate at this point) i usually respect the views of both republicans and democrats but this video really shows how big of a jackass some of them are. there has been a lot of events occurring that have scarred the image of republicans and that guy isn't helping repair that image at all. insulting one of the most influential politicians right now because of his name? that is just ridiculous...
OBAMA '08
(lets hope to god he runs) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Themselves and you are correct.
- oskite, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8@Azur2
Illinois did... - psbpv3o, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Obama is the most amazing politician ever. I've been listening to his podcast lately and have been shocked to hear that what he says actually makes sense, and isn't in anyway partisan or idiotic. I really ***** hope that he wins in 08
- missflibbles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8So ***** what if his name is Hussein? It's a pretty common name. Are you seriously saying that you think of Saddam when you hear this guy's name?
You people are lemmings. I'm getting the hell away from you. - kosmoX, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13He made particular emphasis on his first, middle, and last name.
- andrew1193, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10He says Barack Obama's full name once! How horrible!
There sure are a lot of retards on Digg. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5No, but I did digg you down for whining at the end of your otherwise reasonable comment.
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Yeah! Let the rest of the Republicans put their own feet in their mouths!
Interestingly enough, I love the idea that Hussein is synonamous with evil. Because, you know, Jack the Ripper was a maniac! Lock up Jack Bauer! - glucoseboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Poor title and comment by the submitter. The commenter in the video just says his full name and says something to the affect that "you shouldn't underestimate him".
I don't think there is any undertone of trying to make him sound "Arab" or anything.
Personally, I find Senator Obama to be a very articulate person. Check out his podcasts:
http://obama.senate.gov/podcast/ - omnithought, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Let's not take into account that Hussein is nearly as common in the Middle east as Jones and Smith are in the UK and America. Let's just compare him to the most infamous Hussein.
You don't hear of people being investigated for having the same last name as Jim Jones or Perry Smith. - Surreal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5To all of the dissenters, he made an emphasis, it's particularly obvious. Most politicians don't need to have their middle name pronounced (again, obvious), and most of all he was also trying to discredit him, which is understandable - he's of a different party. Still, this points to the fact that this man could be assumed to be racist. Of course it's not great evidence, but it's definitely alarming and it's definitely worth observing and pointing out.
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8If that's the case Azur (and I know it wouldn't affect your vote) your country is in dire straits...
You're welcome to come and live in Australia... I wouldn't sentence anyone to live in a country in which a name would make or break a politician... - earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5i agree, my point is we all are likely to have some history in our culture of someone with a similar name as we have whom happened to do some bad *****.
my name is german so there is a good chance some who was a nazi had the same surname as i do. - missflibbles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5For real. People are talking about how his middle name is going to kill his chances of getting elected, and I was under the impression his skin was dark. His name could be James Thompson and he still wouldn't get elected.
- williamdyer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6He is also an apostate Moslem, like Salman Rushdie. Pretty funny if he ends up running against Mitt Romney, who is a Mormon. Just who will the rednecks hate more?
- zcreem, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7His name wont be a problem for America, because they wont get past his skin color.
If people are so xenophobic about a name how are they going to see past his Melanin content.
The man is smart young and probably would make a great leader, but I wont hold my breath. -
