Regardless of the content of the bill/amendment/whatever being proposed, and regardless of the party doing the proposing, this kind of behavior is simply unacceptable. While I realize that this is likely not how most of these types of events go, I am finding it hard to express my anger that this could happen even a few times.

- simongiln, on 11/08/2009, -5/+54The most aggravating part of this, is that the Republicans are going to be complaining about not being heard either. The fact that they were the ones shouting down the women won't matter, because they were doing it with procedural rules in the house, and thus will claim they were fulling within their rights to do so. The fact that they were being immeasurably rude isn't going to come up on most of the conservative media.
But, there's a reason why the Republican party is hemorrhaging members to independents: they've forgotten who they're supposed to be representing. Many of these people are from the south, and down here we have a little thing called common curtsey. I know quite a number of people who would look at that video and be truly appalled at the behaviour of the people they voted for, regardless of the political issues involved.
But again, this isn't likely to show up on any media that isn't blatantly liberal in nature. Please, if this even shows up on prime time CNN, let me know. It'll make me feel a lot better if it does. - TheIndigoSky, on 11/07/2009, -4/+52I OBJECT.
